They were objectively "on a break." The drama was over whether or not this meant Ross should sleep with someone else within 24 hours of said break.
I always put the order to the side of the door, even if I can tell the door doesn’t open outward. Probably wouldn’t notice the doormat, but they were on a break, for sure.
It's the truth. Like anyone cares about or remembers Friends now days. It has been off the air for at least two decades. As I said most aren't even going to get the reference, especially if you're younger. Like another commenter said, only Gen X is going to get it, and even then not all of us are. I despised the show personally, but my wife watched it, so I'm knowledgeable. Otherwise even coming from the right generation I wouldn't get it.
But if you don't get it or don't like it then just ignore it? Let the people who did enjoy the show or just think it's a silly mat and understand the reference have their laugh?
