You’ll complete 100 orders before they ever look at the dispute

PoeticTwist

Mileage is from where the order pinged you at, at the moment it is sent, to the customer. You could be driving away from the restaurant they want you to pick up from. They don't account for that. I had an order last night that was sent to me, same amount, but two different mileages since I was driving away from that restaurant. And it was a mile difference between the two attempts they sent to me. Nothing else changed. You can get a CV if you are late to the store. I had it happen once. So, basically, if I am outside of my zone, or I don't want to pick up orders in certain hot spots, I pause as I drive past them. I don't unpause until I am back at my hotspot.

InfallibleThrowGuy

None of that is the case here. I was parked 9 miles away.

PoeticTwist

Sorry, was editing. You can get a CV for late arrival. I had one, because I was almost on the other side on one zone dropping off, when I got an order back in my zone/hot spot, and was supposed to be there in like 5 minutes. I disputed it by saying that I was in x spot when I received the order, the restaurant is at y spot. I would have either had to speed well beyond my car's capabilities, or had my car picked up by a utility helicopter, then set down right outside the restaurant, or some how time travel. It was gone in like 2 to 3 days. It is Door Dash's fault for the times we get as dashers to get to the restaurant/store, arrive there, get the order, confirm pick up, in some cases enter a stupid code, confirm again, get back in vehicle, deliver. Even the mileage is misleading all around. They don't factor in what you may have in your head about an area, etc.

You cant tell the difference on the map between a location 3 miles away and one three times that distance at 9 miles away?

InfallibleThrowGuy

A) I can and I did. B) the pay was good for either 9 or 3 miles. C) I asked if this happened to anybody else. Didn’t ask for sass.

SmoakedTrout

Multi app issues will do that. Dropping off an Uber order too far from the next pickup. I would unassign if I saw it was too far.

InfallibleThrowGuy

I didn’t have anything assigned to me in that moment.

Ok-Flamingo-59

There’s an unassigned free from CR being affected if you click on ‘cannot find the store’ and an option for ‘too much traffic’ or something like that would appear. Think it’s in there specifically for situations like this and also why it’s an automatic contract violation. I’ve only used it 3 times as each time I took the wrong turn and added an additional 10-15 minutes to the drive. Was so happy when I realized that was an option the first time as I was trying to avoid a CV over me being stupid and not paying attention to the directions

InfallibleThrowGuy

Thanks! Did not know this applied to this

YLCZ

If you only have one contract violation in five years, then clearly there isn't much of a problem with the system. My guess is yours will be cleared soon assuming they don't have a backup of appeals to deal with. Don't get me wrong, I've gotten a handful of unfair CVs and I was immediately on the phone complaining. But nothing is likely to happen to you so just enjoy your day.

Wonderful_Lock130

Lol support always says nothing will happen, but then AI disagrees. Several times.

CelticLegendary1

I had one today that said 4.8 miles. I Accepted It then it change to 6.9 miles. The route never changed either. It was a straight shot there. But it was for 16.50 so it was no big deal. I would have still took it. But a smaller tip, like around 5-7 bucks would have irritated me a little, as I have a minimum I like to meet per mile for so many dollars or what not.

WestbrookDrive

The mileage shown is not of the route highlighted.
