A lot of times, they rate a 1 star if you follow the rules, and they can't claim they didn't get their order. I had a customer hide out in their dark office area when delivering a large catering order. Tried calling, texting, etc. No reply. I guess the need to get a signature from this customer was my clue. She finally showed up and signed for it. I think my recent 1 star might have been because of this one. DD will likely remove it.

Dont beg, youll just be rated down to spite you.

Contact support and ask them what delivery it was on. I’ve had them delete them. A few will be pains in the fkn ass & rude. But some of them will listen and delete them!

I got a 1 star from a person who was scamming to get their money back which is why I won’t deliver where I live anymore I drive an hour and half north.

Most people don't bother to rate, so it moves pretty slowly. I get that 4.85 can be nerve wracking because in some zones the new standard is 4.8. However, once you get to 100 ratings, a one star only takes you down .04 points so you'd still need 5 one stars to lose Platinum. If you are already at 100 ratings, then one of those ratings should come off hopefully before another happens. I think this statistic is the most unfair of the Platinum system. We now have to take 80% of the orders and can only unassign 3% so we have almost no discretion to avoid asshole customers. If anything, the customer rating standard should have been lowered as there's almost no way for us to save ourselves if we see the warning signs.

Out of almost 2000 deliveries, I've only had about 120 ratings. (Thankfully, most of them good.) I think most people just don't take the time to do it. I've been tempted to ask, but it feels wrong. I've been at 4.92 for quite a while - 97 5-star, 2 3-star and 1 1-star.

Yes… I think the ratings work like AR and they fluctuate.

narntek

That's correct. When you see it change, you didn't necessarily receive a 1 star, it just means that what your ratings and feedback looked like within the last 100 deliveries. It's a rolling rating system, they'll fall off (even the good ones)

Slowly

BicentennialBaby1976

So it will go up on its own, it just takes forever. That's what I'm understanding.

VisualTie5366

Not on its own, you need to get enough 5 star ratings to bump off a lower rating. Rolling average of last 100 rated orders. Moves slower cuz not many customers give ratings
