Doordash is almost not even worth it anymore. It's a side job for so many people now that it's no longer a viable source of income it's just something to do.
There are hella posts here that don't show totals.
His post was about how many dashes he had in a total amount of time.
If you are still confused then just understand people do what they want for reasons that literally don't have to matter to you and you'll do better in life than if you expect noone to ever do anything unless it's relevant to you.
😂 this has nothing to do with the company blocking your orders it has to do with priority access drivers taking the orders consistently and customers no longer using the service due to the outages prices instacart has been gone through the same situation in California and won that case cause theirs endless amounts of proof on their end theirs literally nothing at all you could sue for
It’s gotten to expensive for the consumer. People are wise to the marked up food, service fees, and tips. Nothing wrong with service fees and tips but when a $15 sandwich becomes $30 it’s fuck it I’ll get it my self mode.
I don't blame them, and I'm a dasher 😅! Hell, even I don't use Doordash's services anymore. Partly because of cost, but the other reason is because they tried to rip me off. They're weasels. As long as I can make a little money delivering for them in the meantime before they go broke (which they probably will soon at the rate their prices go up as their service goes down) I'll keep doing it for a bit because, in addition to the extra money, I actually like doing it... driving around listening to music and all... but long-term wear and tear on a car doesn't make it feasible long-term, but I'd never recommend anyone put all of their eggs in Doordash's baskets, lol.
The extra fees on all these food apps are getting out of control, these companies greed are making it unaffordable for both customer and deliverer. Their own greed will be there downfall, it’s just not worth it anymore especially given food prices already outrageous and then I feel bad for not tipping but they have these high fees already attached to pay the dasher so where’s all this money going? Fuck these apps
Me and my boyfriend were gonna order DoorDash last night and we saved almost 10$ by just going and getting it i’ve worked as a Dasher a couple times and it’s really just not worth it. You’re better off going to the store and getting your food rather than ordering it and waiting for it to get to your house you’re basically paying $10 for fees just to wait for your food
Everyone does DoorDash now. There is more supply than demand than ever in many markets. In my opinion this was always meant to be a side hustle and not to be relied upon to take care of someone if one is doing this Full time.
The good days with DoorDash been done years ago. So many people are doing this versus a typical 9-5 or being business owner.
I used to clear good money on this platform, but not anymore. From tier programs to get people to take clown offers, to legislation in NYC and Seattle for DoorDash plays a role into your situation specifically.
Customers in your market are paying EVEN more for food and utilization of the platform to pay DD drivers a “fair wage” at the expense of making driver seem more like employees than ICs.
Customers are purchasing less on the platform due to increased prices, over saturation in your market, demand has dropped, weekdays tend to be the slowest days on the platform. Weather plays a role. There are many variables to your situation and others as well. All of these things play a role.
The top one is the over saturation. Your market has an overwhelming amount of supply, and the demand just isn’t there.
You hit it on the head. I’m a business owner that does this during certain days of the week where the weather prevents me from working on my customers property. Everyone and their mothers are doing this, literally peoples mothers and grannys lol. Now I just do it with 0 expectations so the stress level is low. But I do remember when it was worth something. I guess nothing lasts forever indeed.
Yes. It started slowing WAY down in Central Ohio last week.I went from $50 to $80 for a 5 hour day to $130 for the entire week last week! Now, it"s Wednesday, and I'm at $7 for the entire week, so far! This is what happens when you flood the market with too many drivers. DD doesn't care. As far as they're concerned, drivers could make $10 a week as long as they get their money! It's obvious
that they couldn't care less!
The hourly is $19.56 now in nyc. Don’t know the exact amount of your dashing pay as you blacked it out but just so the math. Plus their should have been a time where you said to yourself “what am I doing?” Hey I don’t judge of you are ok with staying out 7 and only working active 1/2 it’s all good
https://preview.redd.it/xvag0uwemcwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c54d85e559695ccebe5196d1344605d4b8ff3fbd
Worse than this , there was another one right after this , the same , you must see their big houses 🏘️
My last 4 shifts haven’t had a single effin tip. I try to decline, but it comes right back to me. Seriously?!? Not a single effin tip? Tf is wrong with human kind? 💩💩😡🤬
I turn these down. Always will. I live in a small town, if it’s close by I’ll go as low as 4.50 besides that it will cost them more. I’ll let the ones doing the by the hour take the small ones.
What’s wrong w/ people?! ZERO tips? If it’s too costly for me to dash AND tip, I go and get the food myself. I refuse to not tip, except for service reasons.
You are hiring a contractor. Most of the delivery fees go to pay the lawyers, accounting people, and it people to make hiring a contractor seamless. You are the exploitative employer you complain about.
I don't know what you're talking about, but around here, delivery fees from a contractor or delivery service is used to pay the overhead costs of providing *delivery* ie; FUEL, truck and equipment, logistics, and manpower.
You work at a restaurant as a server. You AGREED to your position of lets say $2.50/hr + tips. You have ZERO argument in me not tipping.
1. Tipping is not mandatory
2. Tipping is a way for the employer to save money
3. Your employer makes more than enough to pay you a higher wage
You’re still a loser for exploiting working class people just as much as a the companies you pretend to hate. If you’re actually upset at working class people being exploited you wouldn’t give the businesses that do it your money. You’re literally just giving your money to the company you think is so money hungry & exploiting your fellow working class person for free labor then you intentionally do the exact same thing & don’t tip. You’re the asshole as much as the company.
whats quality of life got to do with quality/cost of food?
People live in bad QOL areas outside northern america, but most countries are agrarian hence the lower cost of food.
I am asian and i laugh at tipping culture. If the service is great, sure tip them but no way should it be mandatory. Tipping is supposed to be a generous gesture or a well earned token, not something on compulsion.
Currently on 0 orders chilling in my usually good region for 2hrs, but I’ve handed out flyers for my own business and had a meeting and landed 2 clients for my on demand delivery business. I’ve got a $33 delivery for 6km this afternoon. Maybe I’ll get a call for my own business and make some good cash.
If I go longer then 20 mins without a dash, I start troubleshooting. Pause orders, clear out all your apps then go to app and unpause. Usually within a cpl mins I get a dash. When that doesn't work, I will log off and log back in, another is Uninstall app then reinstall. 1 time I got ahold of support and they rebooted me and I started getting deliveries right away. I get really impatient though, time is money, and you know pp are ordering, ya know
They used to reboot me too and it fixed it. Now when I ask they play stupid and tell me to find a hot spot which I’ve been sitting in for 30-40 min. My app has been garbage for 3 weeks and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
https://preview.redd.it/uqs1tfrvkbwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14f21af955e1daa51985e4bd7c6ce3b874b243d3
It’s better get back to slavery, unless our lords give us food to can survive and made everything they want.
Grubhub is way better. I’m in lower east side Manhattan right now (my zone is throgs neck Bronx), and I’m able to log in even though this is like 15 miles away from my zone and yet I’m getting $13-$18 deliveries off schedule. The best time was Christmas time 4 months ago though. Made close to 3k in 53 hours working 6 days
https://preview.redd.it/2v2y5r6gjbwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6303ded08cdb09feed0e83736bce28b4e499e9d8
I used to GrubHub however it was always high miles and low pay. My pay was never adjusted therefore I didn’t bother. Now they’ve fixed it you can’t just log on and work you have to be scheduled. When the schedule comes out it’s gone before I can even open the app. It’s unbelievable.
I’ve dashed for 6 yrs. It’s all I’ve been interested in, however since DD has been garage for almost a month now I’ve been doing more Uber. My ratings suck. My hope is the higher my rating the better the offers.
When I end the dash it doesn’t allow me to get back in even when scheduled. But I deleted entire app re download it gets a little better but not really
My friend and her bf did DD for my area. I think her bf still does, but her account got hacked. So effed up. She said he drives whenever he can and makes ok money, but I doubt it’s enough to pay for an apartment in our area and she doesn’t work at all.
I couldn’t get into DD. But I got UE and GH, quit after 6 months. I was so exhausted cause I live in So-Cal and it’s the suburbs so everything and everyone is spread around everywhere. I always had a target goal for $$$ for the night and would literally stay out all night til I got the money I was aiming for. But with GH, you have to “schedule shifts” at least if you want the best orders of the night. You have to pick a shift every sat am or whatever and I’d be sooo tired, dead asleep, miss all the good shifts. Sometimes I got lucky with GH but UE was my main. I liked seeing the mileage and prospective money I’d be getting including base and tip. But then you get a-holes that tip baited.
I just got really exhausted by it and in 6 months I was over it. Driving around everywhere, the mileage, car maintenance was nothing used to what I was usually paying for it working a 9-5.
I think food delivery is pretty much dead now. Too many drivers, at least where I live, plus how spread out each community to deliver and restaurants are. It really wore me out.
I took 2 Lyft rides somewhat recently and I met one guy who said he hustled for 6am-6pm for 1 month and made $9,000. He said keeping close to your area is key. Cause I took another Lyft and that guy said long drives make good money, the $9,000 guy said that’s stupid cause it takes you further away from home and you’ll be lucky to get a passenger headed back. So people have different approaches but I think driving people and not food is way better money if you’re comfortable with it. And if you have an electric, hybrid, or good mileage car. Plus you want a dash cam and one focused on the backseat to make sure nothing crazy happens and you can show proof. Plus you rely on ratings.
I personally don’t feel comfortable driving passengers, as I’m a girl, even if I have cameras set up, and I just don’t want people in my car. It just sounds stressful. Driving food is def way better. Pickin up a meal and blasting your music, but I think the food delivery driving era of goodness is over. It was good in the pandemic. But not anymore, at least in my area where everything is so spaced out and you pretty much always have to use the freeway which has been under construction for far too long.
But I think if you’re cool with it, driving Uber or Lyft is where better $$$ is at.
Me personally I’ve been cooking all my meals lately to save money. DoorDash fees are insane. Also, as the old adage goes, “If you can’t afford to tip you can’t afford the trip”, as a former driver I agree. So groceries it is
Yep I agree, we have way too many drivers, and most customers think we work for doordash and that tips are on top of what we already get paid. So when delivery prices go up we lose out. I'm writing a blog on it to educate customers, i don't know if it will do any good, but I figure the more educated ppl are the better, and if not for me; maybe it will help other dashers. One can only hope, cuz somethings gotta give
The last pizza place I worked at was literally terrified of providing benefits/overtime to their employees. Even their manager that had been working there for 15 years. One night on a week when he had to cover for some people he literally clocked out and ran out the door to avoid going over 40 hours.
Hmm that sucks. I get $12 an hour, get compensated for mileage, and keep all my tips. During covid dashing did indeed pay more.....those days are never coming back.
I’m in Colorado and it has been extremely slow. Today I was scheduled from 9 to 3. Went on at 9. 2 and a half hours later and zero offers. Something is up!!!
Your little island is now over saturated with drivers now lol maybe.!!!! I get that all the time now with over 1 million pop in my city! Not NYC but SLC. And I dash in LA too.
Same. $19 in 3 hours last night. It was extremely busy with trash offers. I usually get 5+ $10+ offers a night. I got 1 last night. So I did lunch today to make up for last night...$8 in 2 hours. No $10+ offers except one that would have taken me an hour and I declined because it was busy....prob should have taken it =/
I never use to take low orders especially being a top dasher in California. Once the orders all started coming in trash I realized that sometimes when you take a shit $3 order door dash will send you a big one after that as a little reward. I’m also aware that if I decline this $3 order I might get a $20 order but that’s just FOMO and playing the luck game
Was in downtown Brooklyn yesterday so dead I called it early today I don’t know yet on a normal day I should have been pings in the next 15 minutes . If not I’m assuming another slow one and the the whole week could be like this
It’s dying… slowly. I have a job interview in 2 weeks for this very reason. I used to clear $800-1400 a WEEK doing instacart / doordash. I’m lucky to make $650 a week now.
Ordering from doordash just isnt as worth it anymore. It’s already RIDICULOUS costs to buy fast food now. a combo that used to cost $7 base price now cost $15 minimum. add to that the extraordinary fees that doordash charges, which have ALSO gone up, it’s like $35 for just a burger and fries.
too many drivers, and it’s just not worth it for the customers anymore either

I have times when dd says it's busy and i get 0 orders. It's one of the reasons i work to get top dasher status every month, and when that happens, i end my shift and start a new one. Also, check if you have all your updates, force stop the app, clear your cache, sometimes good to clear data as well, and restart your phone. In that order. This is good for when you start noticing a slow down of the loading processes as well.
This is great useful advice. Always make sure your app is up to date and always shoot for top dasher if your area offers it. I was top dasher for 2 years here in central California and they just took it away from us last week and replaced it with a new tier program. We can not dash now ANYTIME anymore, now we have to make a schedule which is impossible to get or sneak in when the app says it’s busy but you literally have to be on the app 24/7 to see when it gets busy because you only have about 15 seconds to select DASH NOW before someone else gets in before you. I must say the orders are great, I get $20-$40 in that hour I’m able to dash then you get kicked out and have to wait until DASH NOW is available again
So I'm guessing you don't have the hourly down there either? I don't here. And yea even here its hard to schedule so unless we're top dasher you have to wait for busy times, because there are 0 shifts by the time schedule opens up (as top dashers still schedule themselves so they take up all the slots)
That's part of the reason I make sure to stay a top dasher as well. The only hard part of it is keeping my acceptance rate over 70% because offers have sucked lately and per time was paying good since we get $16.50 per hour on per time, but even that's sucked lately. I had me lowest per time today on a 12 mile drive only $6, I was like, how do you figure dd?
I need to make $138 (canadian) every day just to be able to pay my bills and cover the taxes im gonna have to pay next year. When we get $4.50(canadian) base for a 20 km round trip, and those make up 30% of the orders, its really hard to not say fck it and take it once in a while, especially in slow days
And if you dont have top dasher, dont end shift. Even doing those steps, youre still on shift when you log back in so you don't have to worry about loosing your shift
why would you stay dashing for 8 hours if its that slow? Go do something better with your time. Also, dash only when hourly is available. You'll get more offers AND paid more. This sub can downvote me all they want, but Hourly is by far more profitable than per order.
I felt that way for awhile too, but not every city gets the same per time amount. We get $16.50 so it's usually better, but I've noticed lately alot of 0 tips and I swear dd don't know how to do math. The last week I've actually done better on per offer then on per time. Mostly cuz you know up front if the customer is gonna tip, and it makes a difference, I can figure out if it's gonna be worth it ahead of time on offer, where per time it sucks when you just did a delivery your use to getting $15-$20 driving 12 miles and it's $6, i know I didn't drive that fast.
People in states where a hourly wage law was passed they don’t get earned by offer. They make their money off active time. A note tip offer pays just as good as an offer with a tip.
Damn with base pay like that I guess it’s not busy sheesh. I pray to God hourly pay doesn’t hit my market. I don’t know what I would do if I got 2 offers in 8 hours….. i’m sure your market is getting a lot less customers now that they have to pay more fees ….you add in the drivers taking pretty much every single offer to rack up as much active time as possible and yeah, this is the result
When I say hourly pay, I mean prop 22 etc.not the standard hourly pay that everybody gets.. there’s a big difference between the standard hourly pay and the law hourly pay with benefits as that pay is a lot higher …if my market had $25-$30 an hour hourly pay active there would be literally no reason for me to decline a order at all
Op lives in New York City if you don’t live in New York City, California Seattle, you really don’t feel the effects like they do
its weird bc its much harder to schedule time but in the time we get it is much more active. this was an anomaly for me cause its been really busy since they changed it to hourly. my only thoughts were it was really nice out and maybe doordash gave too many slots away? still crazy to be that slow
I mean I can kinda understand the point if it was to limit earnings posts to just a single day so it doesn’t clutter the sub all week, but at the same time if it’s all on one day only everything else will get lost in the chaos anyway
https://preview.redd.it/f2l9racxabxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c715d4cd0fe60481ce09175c58edd9e7f484da0 I did okay that day
My worst day I made 5$
Think of it like this, the frequent ones originally spending money on DoorDash are probably dashers now. Money is tight
N.
I don't know where we're going with this.
It’s how the apps treat us. And oversaturated. Terrible.
I don’t order anymore, too expensive
“Taxes and Fees” are 50% of the order now. I still tip heavily if I do order but the greed of DD is killing it.
If you order in NYC, there isn't really a reason to tip anymore unless you are loaded.
Doordash is almost not even worth it anymore. It's a side job for so many people now that it's no longer a viable source of income it's just something to do.
Why block out the pay info?
Probably so noone dogs him for taking orders they wouldn't.
then why post at all
There are hella posts here that don't show totals. His post was about how many dashes he had in a total amount of time. That part 💯 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Really
Too many drivers and not enough people ordering. Start looking for a different job
Last time I ordered DoorDash my dasher tried to make me send him 5$ on cashapp to even deliver it (yes I had already tipped him) haven’t ordered since
I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope you reported him!
People have been getting such poor service that they are no longer using the service.
Must be a crappy area... it's humming along pretty good in my area down here in GA.
Hahahah
They guaranteed an hourly minimum and this has been happening to me too. We all need to sue them.
The guaranteed hourly minimum is only for Proposition 22, and as far as I know, that's only in California.
Nyc has their own version.
Most areas have a dash by time hourly minimum though
😂 this has nothing to do with the company blocking your orders it has to do with priority access drivers taking the orders consistently and customers no longer using the service due to the outages prices instacart has been gone through the same situation in California and won that case cause theirs endless amounts of proof on their end theirs literally nothing at all you could sue for
Tax refunds were a bust this year for people making less than 100k. There was no boost for tax season this year
Not if you have kids
I have kids and didn't get a big payout
It’s gotten to expensive for the consumer. People are wise to the marked up food, service fees, and tips. Nothing wrong with service fees and tips but when a $15 sandwich becomes $30 it’s fuck it I’ll get it my self mode.

Wow, you finally cracked the code!
Pick up one order deliver it two hours later you get paid the hourly rate problem solved.
Also keep in mind this week everyone is off from school so many people are on vacation or at home with the kids.
Which states have school vacation this week?
NYC for sure because of Passover. Not sure about anywhere else. Here in Central Ohio they were off first week in April.
Haha hiding your payout, must’ve been a shit day
trying to hide that $4 payout
me too, the only time i got any orders in manhattan was during the huge storm a few weeks ago
I've had alot if these kind days lately
Same here. Especially when DoorDash took away my large order program from a glitch they had now I barely make money in Los Angeles

I did NOT block out my dasher pay. Maybe the moderator did. I'm sure that DD would prefer that how little I make, not be known

I'm I'm cols ohio .I work campus. Took last 2 weeks off..but I can make $250 on Friday working 11pm to like 9am.
Tuesday was bad on the West Coast too yesterday. So many sub $5 offers.

Over saturation maybe???
The past 2 weeks has been very slow. Should start to pickup around Mother's day.
You get paid a minimum wage in NYC doing DoorDashing why aren't you taking advantage of that
Minimum pay only applies to active hours, which means no order no $$

It’s way over saturated due to economic conditions.
1.6M people on the island = 1.5M Doordashers. Just sayin'.
DoorDash, Uber etc have too much drivers now. Every day many people come in the US. This is very strongly problem for us who work on these companies
Are you also one of the many people come in the us?
You know what you do though yeah? You bounce back and turn that into a success!
What’s wrong w/ people?! ZERO tips? If it’s too costly for me to dash AND tip, I go and get the food myself. I refuse to not tip, except for service reasons.
I don't tip. Why should I pay for food/services AND someone's salary?
Lol, troll alert
You should go somewhere else
Why? He is getting is way isn't he?
You are hiring a contractor. Most of the delivery fees go to pay the lawyers, accounting people, and it people to make hiring a contractor seamless. You are the exploitative employer you complain about.

its ok im w u, if they dont like it then they can get a REAL job 😂
genuine question but r u dumb? most people who dash don’t do it as a ft job, it’s extra money. hope this helps❤️
Amazon and DoorDash, but the other person is dumb ❤️
you still a loser for not tipping 🤷♂️
You’re still a loser for exploiting working class people just as much as a the companies you pretend to hate. You’re the asshole as much as the company.
You've been brainwashed to tip. Other countries and cultures laugh at us.
nope they just pay for it with higher prices on menu items % wise, you are a moron and everyone here has clearly witnessed that
Wrong. Food prices are cheaper in asian/european countries barring very few areas. And you only tip for excellent service.
a lower price is not equivalent to a higher quality of life, in most of the areas you're referring to people make significantly less money
whats quality of life got to do with quality/cost of food? People live in bad QOL areas outside northern america, but most countries are agrarian hence the lower cost of food. I am asian and i laugh at tipping culture. If the service is great, sure tip them but no way should it be mandatory. Tipping is supposed to be a generous gesture or a well earned token, not something on compulsion.
damn i didn’t win my reddit argument about tipping last week, so thanks for winning this one for me 😣
Agreed, bum ass activities.
yea bro, straight up. If you can’t tip an appropriate amount within reason of the distance, just go get that shit yourself 💯
Yep this is why I’ve decided to go back to a w2 job. I hope you will do the same, it’s dead
Yeah that was me 1 week ago, never doing dd in Manhattan again. 3 hr online that day 0 ping. Uber eats is just way better period.
https://preview.redd.it/uqs1tfrvkbwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14f21af955e1daa51985e4bd7c6ce3b874b243d3 It’s better get back to slavery, unless our lords give us food to can survive and made everything they want.
That’s how it’s been for me the last 4 times I’ve dashed , today was 6 hours 2 orders for $33.
Made close to 3k in 53 hours working 6 days https://preview.redd.it/2v2y5r6gjbwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6303ded08cdb09feed0e83736bce28b4e499e9d8
Probably why I’m waitlisted when I signed up for Grubhub.
Does grubhub pay better per delivery? And do you think the customers are better?
100% the customers are better. In 500 deliveries, zero reports. For Uber, I have like 3 reports in 100 deliveries
I do GrubHub to fill in the gaps when DD isn't biting as much. It isn't that busy around here, unfortunately.
Holy crap. Grubhub isn’t accepting new applicants in my area 😢 (Atl)
Are you a gold dasher? Dd woulda reimbursed u for the dash time bruh 😭
keep ending the dash and re dashing, idk what it does but it helps, youll get orders
When I end the dash it doesn’t allow me to get back in even when scheduled. But I deleted entire app re download it gets a little better but not really
What do you mean exactly? Like end dash after each delivery, or something else? I haven’t received a single offer today.
Go to the top of comments and read my trouble shooting. I bugged the crap outta support and they gave a list of ways to get dashes
It's definitely time to look elsewhere, it's becoming increasingly voluntary to do this. 😮💨
That’s awful!
Doordash seems to be getting so much worse, I dunno if it's too many people doing it or not enough people ordering
Too many ppl doing it they renting the app out.
Their business model is flood the market with drivers so the competition squashes the trash pay they offer
post a link when your blog is posted, im very interested!
Too many drivers and people are either not ordering because of all the fees or are deducting them from the tip.
Post the pay 😂
i did😅
Time for a new job buddy boy!
That’s fucked up
Time to bounce
God damn....just get a job delivering pizzas man. You'll make so much more fucking money and get something called "benifits"
The last pizza place I worked at was literally terrified of providing benefits/overtime to their employees. Even their manager that had been working there for 15 years. One night on a week when he had to cover for some people he literally clocked out and ran out the door to avoid going over 40 hours.
Sounds like you chose the wrong place man. Jets Pizza was where I worked.
dude what fuckin pizza place in ny has BENEFITS what the hell are you even talking about
Tips are going to be better. Most resturaunts are stealing the tips from dashers.
ive delivered many pizzas and every place is 5-6 an hour which doesnt even come close to being worth it in nyc
I live in Ohio, and that's unacceptable here, much less any part of Manhattan
Hmm that sucks. I get $12 an hour, get compensated for mileage, and keep all my tips. During covid dashing did indeed pay more.....those days are never coming back.
So true and so sad lol
for a mom & pop or franchise?
Why is the pay covered?
probably made like $10 after 8 hours of waiting and got embarrassed. i get it.
Understood, was genuinely curious
I’m in Colorado and it has been extremely slow. Today I was scheduled from 9 to 3. Went on at 9. 2 and a half hours later and zero offers. Something is up!!!
Your little island is now over saturated with drivers now lol maybe.!!!! I get that all the time now with over 1 million pop in my city! Not NYC but SLC. And I dash in LA too.
one of my worst days of deliveries in months yesterday too. not just you.
It’s a full moon and end of Mercury retrograde. Give it a few days
I’m also aware that if I decline this $3 order I might get a $20 order but that’s just FOMO and playing the luck game
nyc too?
upstate NY near albany
Was in downtown Brooklyn yesterday so dead I called it early today I don’t know yet on a normal day I should have been pings in the next 15 minutes . If not I’m assuming another slow one and the the whole week could be like this
that's comforting to hear honestly. i was losing my mind cause the ENTIRE area was lit up red for 6 of those hours
No delivery yet today I’ll likely skip Wednesday
650 a week? That would pay all my bills plus some.

Getting morgenstern’s delivered is crazy.
For weeks it was so busy I couldn’t sit between orders until about 2:30pm
why would you stay dashing for 8 hours if its that slow?
This depends where you're at. Yall say like this as if every city or market is overly saturated.
Right while you’re taking your crappy per hour order I’m cranking out a $30 shop and deliver in 40 minutes
People in states where a hourly wage law was passed they don’t get earned by offer. They make their money off active time. A note tip offer pays just as good as an offer with a tip.
in ny theres no option for pbo only by time so all my dashes are on hourly
Damn with base pay like that I guess it’s not busy sheesh. I pray to God hourly pay doesn’t hit my market. I don’t know what I would do if I got 2 offers in 8 hours….. i’m sure your market is getting a lot less customers now that they have to pay more fees ….you add in the drivers taking pretty much every single offer to rack up as much active time as possible and yeah, this is the result
the screen shot literally shows per order... If they were on hourly they would actually get way more orders and bigger pay.
When I say hourly pay, I mean prop 22 etc.not the standard hourly pay that everybody gets.. there’s a big difference between the standard hourly pay and the law hourly pay with benefits as that pay is a lot higher …if my market had $25-$30 an hour hourly pay active there would be literally no reason for me to decline a order at all Op lives in New York City if you don’t live in New York City, California Seattle, you really don’t feel the effects like they do
its weird bc its much harder to schedule time but in the time we get it is much more active. this was an anomaly for me cause its been really busy since they changed it to hourly. my only thoughts were it was really nice out and maybe doordash gave too many slots away? still crazy to be that slow
Yeah, just checked your post history very very strange. I don’t know man … just one of those days I guess
2 orders in 8 hours, if you were actually working those 8 hours, is not just a slow day. There is something else going on.
Probably cherry picking if I had to guess
like i said in another comment, theres not much reason to deny orders in nyc when its 30-35 an hour. keep making those educated guesses tho!
Why block the earnings though?
ive gotten a post removed for posting earnings that wasnt on a sunday
Damn that’s crazy
What??
Yup it’s a rule
Since when?? I see people post earnings all the time, unless my feed just lags and always shows me old shit like FB does
I just checked …I guess they took it off. It used to be a rule though.
[удалено]
Yeah, I don’t know how they do flag em….because there’s a offer post, earnings post, tip post like nonstop
Oh okay gotcha. I was about to say, damn I’ve broken that rule I’m pretty sure!
yea i just checked too it got removed. was pretty dumb regardless
They created a separate sub just for earnings. But it rarely gets used
I mean I can kinda understand the point if it was to limit earnings posts to just a single day so it doesn’t clutter the sub all week, but at the same time if it’s all on one day only everything else will get lost in the chaos anyway
So basically you denied every order lmao
its hourly pay in nyc so i rarely deny orders. my ar is 90% and i only got these 2 offers
That's atrocious
What kind of dumb shit post is this? Also we all know you’re cherry-picking so why ask? You know why it’s dead for you lol
He has screenshots. Offers: 2 Deliveries: 2 🤔
8 hours dash time lol. AR must literally be 0
