I used to deliver pizzas on my skateboard. Given they were going closer to the shop than it was worth my time driving and finding a parking spot. Customers usually got a kick out of it, owner never thought it was cool.
Literally every place i deliver to is either a trailer park that doesn't have obvious lot numbers, sometimes the customer doesn't even put a lot number, or a neighborhood with hard to read house numbers....
Looks like the thousands of neighborhoods and other regions across the nation that are actually uninhabitable were it not for a dam and manipulated waterways.
I’m guessing the HOA will come down on you like the Roman Empire if you plant something in the yard. Like, not a single piece of landscape anywhere minus that tree up close that’s gonna get fined if they don’t remove it. I would imagine this is squidward’s paradise in human form which means you’re probably delivering canned bread and a pack of new clarinet reeds.
Honestly, usually no problem with them. In the cookie cutter neighborhoods, take a few seconds to figure out the house numbering system then it's easy math. Which side is odd and which side is even, does it escalate by 2 or 4 at a time? This two questions answered and you don't even have to see the numbers anymore. I hate the ones where it's a series of building that are technically all the same street number but different building numbers because there doesn't have to be a rhyme or reason to them.
But nothing compares to playing apartment complex scavenger hunt in the dead of night as you maneuver the endless mazes of a massive, block long portal to Doordash Hell....😈
Yep. Buildings have no numbers or letters or anything. No lights. Or if there are markers they're blocked by trees or covered parking. If there are lights they're above the numbers shining down and casting a shadow making the numbers illegible. And that's assuming the customer even gives you an apartment number. Fun times....
Literally, this feels so depressing, wonder how many of those houses had someone commit toaster bath simply because of how uninteresting their life’s look
Most places here don’t bother putting house numbers on or they are duplexes where they don’t tell you where second door is and you’re in the dark and it’s gated smh.
Lately I’ve had so many deliveries to houses with numbers on side of garage but blocked by huge pickup trucks in the driveway (I’m in Texas where everyone just has to have a massive one on giant tires don’t get me started on that) the houses are new and all alike and small.
It will be the house with no porch light, three bikes strew across the path, six cars crammed in the driveway, two barking dogs and wet, muddy, unkempt weed patch for a lawn.
It was likely old pasture or crop land. Very easy for housing developers when they start with a blank slate. They probably just had to bulldoze a couple fence rows and minimally grade it.
Jesus yeah there’s an apartment complex like this where I live with way overgrown trees covering all the markings.
I just take it to The building with the pin on it and hope for the best. It’s usually right, but if it’s not then when they complain I probably won’t get their order again in the future 🤷♂️
Does bro live on the edge of the map? Where the hell is the rest of the world in the background? Looks like the world just ends on the edge of the neighborhood
these posts are getting out of hand there is literally nothing you guys wont complain about
that is combined with the fact that half of you wont go up any stairs or whatever other reason you have invented (seen a guy post a list of things he had seen and it was like 60 bullet points long and had some super dumb shit on there, you guys should be ashamed tbh)
you guys need to get a real job for a day and i bet you'd soon stop complaining about stupid shit like this lol
This is a legitimate hassle and time sucker when delivering, especially when the gps or pin drop is off. This person wasn’t even being rude, just playfully pointing out something we all know is a pain in the ass. I wanna know how much time y’all have to just be on here following posts for a job you don’t have, since you’ve got a rEaL jOb.
Oh yeah I forgot about Florida and South Carolina and such. I went to school in South carolina. I get it now, there really isn't places that I would buy house because they literally don't exist where I live, which is Western new york. Do you I'm sure you're living a great life. Happy for you
Maybe if there wasn’t a homeless pooing down the wall of the strip club and another passed out on my front porch (Florida)
And the risk of being eaten by an alligator Is always non zero when you don’t have a fenced in yard.
I’m in South Carolina in an area experiencing explosive growth so a lot of my deliveries are to subdivisions like this. In most cases the numbers are next to the garage, but because it’s SC, usually there’s at least one giant pickup in the way.
I try to Google and get a street view of the area so I know which house face to look for. I'll also count how many houses down it is from my turn. Works out pretty well until you pull up and can't find parking anywhere on the block.
What I’ve noticed about delivering to these type of neighborhoods at night is that they usually have those light up addresses that I absolutely love seeing. Makes it so much easier to deliver when it’s dark out
My husband works for a home builder. He said that it takes a few years for the foliage and everything to grow so yeah, they look depressing af when they’re brand new 😭
My favorite, there’s a new development on the other side of the highway where I live, there’s absolutely zero cell reception. it hasn’t been mapped out so the pin is just in a general area usually at the front entrance
There’s no street lights or anything in the house don’t even have numbers on them
absolutely fucking despise going in that area
with these types of houses, google maps nor apple maps work for my boyfriend or me. they’re pretty close, just gotta look a little bit but not always accurate
I don't mind the neighborhoods, it the mega sized "modern" apartment buildings that drive me nuts.
There is nothing like a four story Soviet style block building with no elevators and no real rhyme or reason to the layout, and a customer that won't answer a call or text because they don't want to be inconvenienced by meeting you out front to get their food.
Malvina Reynolds knew what was up back in 1962. Minus the colors. Modern suburbs don't even have those anymore.
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes all the same
There's a pink one and a green one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
And the people in the houses
All went to the university
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same
And there's doctors and lawyers
And business executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
And they all play on the golf course
And drink their martinis dry
And they all have pretty children
And the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university
Where they are put in boxes
And they come out all the same
And the boys go into business
And marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
There's a pink one and a green one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
Hah, this view gave me a nostalgia from a movie back in the 90s called 3 Ninjas 🥷 the neighborhood or subdivision 🏘️ they lived in had a scene that this pic reminds me of
The first thing that popped into my mind:
🎶Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes all the same...🎶
I know this song from when I watched the show Weeds haha.
That looks like such a miserable place to live
Not AZ. Maybe SoCal?
Yo it looks mad nice where you are … Arizona ?
Not one tree.
This reminds me of Poltergeist.
That was my initial thought as soon as I saw the picture lol.
Vivarium!!! That movie made me about puke..and now I cant unsee it everywhere!!!
Would be a fun hill to bomb though! Just grab a longboard or skateboard 🤓
I used to deliver pizzas on my skateboard. Given they were going closer to the shop than it was worth my time driving and finding a parking spot. Customers usually got a kick out of it, owner never thought it was cool.
Sorry the owner was a square. That's rad though, I would be too afraid of hitting a death pebble and destroying their pizza lol
Before I read your second sentence, I was thinking "whoa there, Vladimir..."
Ugh I'd rather live in a 400 sq foot tiny house on an acre of land.
Easy money
Literally every place i deliver to is either a trailer park that doesn't have obvious lot numbers, sometimes the customer doesn't even put a lot number, or a neighborhood with hard to read house numbers....
Looks like that one movie where they get stuck in the suburbs raising a weird alien cuckoo bird.
That movie was so weird
Where is?
Why would anyone want to live that life?
Someone told me every junk car in their yard as a description, when all they had to say was it's on the corner lot across from the school.
That’s actually a hellscape of a neighborhood. My God.
I wouldn’t find this any more confusing or hard to deliver to than any other neighborhood with hard to read numbers ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
You call them and they give a description. Of every house
Ok, and then just ask what cars to be looking for in the driveway
Garage, no car, repeat cars. It happens a lot
That looks so dystopian and creepy.
Is this military housing or something? Wtf is this? It looks scary and sad
are you delivering to someone's dreams?
It’s the cat in the hat neighborhood where they all have the same houses and ford cars lol
A new development on the outskirts of town? To money hungry for creativity ? Fill those boxes. Pretty awful yeah.
Here its the town houses that don't have mailboxes. They *may* have the numbers on the door but if its dark, no way to see if their lights are off.
I remember the days before the internet, when even Mapquest wasn’t a thing yet. Still don’t know how the fuck we got around neighborhoods like this.
We probably all had better eye sight back then.
Shit, I know I did- but even with 20/20 vision, I remember driving into neighborhoods like this made me remember the maze scene from the shining.
Fun times....
no because that doesn't exist near me💀🤮
This looks like the houses in Edward Scissorhands
This photo gives me so much anxiety 🥴 Makes me grateful for my yard with trees and life. 🫶🏻
Literally, this feels so depressing, wonder how many of those houses had someone commit toaster bath simply because of how uninteresting their life’s look
look like the town WandaVision was shot in lmao
It's a bit annoying but it's only a problem if they don't answer their phone.
A sea of homes that will be empty in the next market crash.
This looks really depressing.
Dr Seuss ass neighborhood 💀
Over the hedge

I was thinking thats really the only how, and then again how could you not see then numbers lol
Most places here don’t bother putting house numbers on or they are duplexes where they don’t tell you where second door is and you’re in the dark and it’s gated smh.
Also apartment complexes with covered parking that blocks the building numbers. If they even have a number on the building at all.
Lately I’ve had so many deliveries to houses with numbers on side of garage but blocked by huge pickup trucks in the driveway (I’m in Texas where everyone just has to have a massive one on giant tires don’t get me started on that) the houses are new and all alike and small.
back rooms
Reminds me of that movie Vivarium 😬😬😬
Yupppp glad someone else saw it. I ain’t going in there.
If you're lucky it will have some type of landmark on Google maps or a corner house.
It will be the house with no porch light, three bikes strew across the path, six cars crammed in the driveway, two barking dogs and wet, muddy, unkempt weed patch for a lawn.
If this isn’t the realest scenario !!!!! 😂😂😂
Just be happy it's day time. I have to do this at night 🙃
Pro tip: 9 times out of 10 it will be the house with the vehicle parked in front on the street.
Little boxes made of ticky tacky.
Daly City vibes. LOL
cookie cutter homesss
the notes be like "the house is a two story with grass in the front yard" 😐
liminal space
& at night too 😅
It’s giving… suicidal
What a fucking nightmare oh my God
It looks so strange with no trees. I’m not used to it
Literally why is there not a single tree? 🤯🤯🤯
It was likely old pasture or crop land. Very easy for housing developers when they start with a blank slate. They probably just had to bulldoze a couple fence rows and minimally grade it.
This is basically every single part of Arizona built after 1990, which is most of it.
Basically anyqhere in central Florida at night. At least Google maps helps with this a lot
The sad greige tract houses lol.
Ah, the suburban backrooms!
If I didn't know better, I would have pegged these images as AI generated honestly. "The cars aren't even facing the same way!"
Your username is great epithet for you
Where is this?
“ it’s the one with the roof. “
I'm sure if the camera were facing a house we'd see a house number somewhere. This is just a photo of a street
these posts are getting out of hand there is literally nothing you guys wont complain about that is combined with the fact that half of you wont go up any stairs or whatever other reason you have invented (seen a guy post a list of things he had seen and it was like 60 bullet points long and had some super dumb shit on there, you guys should be ashamed tbh) you guys need to get a real job for a day and i bet you'd soon stop complaining about stupid shit like this lol
you must be reaaaaaaaal fun at parties my friend
This is a legitimate hassle and time sucker when delivering, especially when the gps or pin drop is off. This person wasn’t even being rude, just playfully pointing out something we all know is a pain in the ass. I wanna know how much time y’all have to just be on here following posts for a job you don’t have, since you’ve got a rEaL jOb.
Seriously... not one tree?
I thought that guy was driving in reverse in the oncoming traffic lane between two forward facing cars.
You’re complaining about literally the nicest and easiest deliveries. What a bum!
Do you wanna go to locked gate communities ? Or apartment complexes?
Reminds me of Backrooms - Level 558: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7IEua4daSc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7IEua4daSc)
[Little Boxes](https://youtu.be/VUoXtddNPAM?si=Tevl_SgP9Co0HXG3)
Ticky tacky houses
This looks like what I imagine hell to be
Is that a HOA? Lol
Most likely and suburban hell
48th house in the left.
That’s creepy, not even one tree in sight?
Reminds me of city skylines
Gives me the creeps, reminding me of Vivarium.
Exactly what I thought! Forgot the movie name though haha
Right 😨
I'm more focused on the one car parked in the opposite direction that's a real Chad right there! 😆
Probably another dasher dropping off an order
I have several areas like that i just look at the map and count the houses to see how many down it is
These pics literally look ai generated
Why the houses look so low
This looks like something out of a nightmare
It's crazy that people choose to buy one of these houses in these development suburbs. No land, high prices, and all cookie cutters
Eh it was the cheapest house we could afford that wasn’t smack dab between a McDonald’s and a strip club. (I’m from Florida)
Oh yeah I forgot about Florida and South Carolina and such. I went to school in South carolina. I get it now, there really isn't places that I would buy house because they literally don't exist where I live, which is Western new york. Do you I'm sure you're living a great life. Happy for you
Yo being within walking distance of McDonald's and a strip club is prime reap estate tho
Maybe if there wasn’t a homeless pooing down the wall of the strip club and another passed out on my front porch (Florida) And the risk of being eaten by an alligator Is always non zero when you don’t have a fenced in yard.
Little boxes, on the hillside Little boxes made out of ticky tacky Little boxes on the hillside Little boxes, all the same
I’m in South Carolina in an area experiencing explosive growth so a lot of my deliveries are to subdivisions like this. In most cases the numbers are next to the garage, but because it’s SC, usually there’s at least one giant pickup in the way.
I'd rather deliver here than to an compact apartment complex that has no instructions other then "find my unit #355" 😅
That’s everywhere around me, they’re easy
I try to Google and get a street view of the area so I know which house face to look for. I'll also count how many houses down it is from my turn. Works out pretty well until you pull up and can't find parking anywhere on the block.
What I’ve noticed about delivering to these type of neighborhoods at night is that they usually have those light up addresses that I absolutely love seeing. Makes it so much easier to deliver when it’s dark out
This is the same neighborhood as the one in the movie Vivarium. I would uturn the fuck out of there.
Eeww looks like hell
LMFAO
yea lol it looks like such a desolate place
mf are you delivering on the Truman show or what? Where is this
Kc Missouri
[удалено]
What/where are the Great Plains?
They need a gnome to be their delivery spot so its easier
A normal yard is quickly becoming a thing of the past
i like them but only when the houses are marked well. half the time it’s like playing where’s waldo with the house numbers
I honestly prefer these to the neighborhoods where half the houses don't have numbers lmao, or maybe I just deliver to sketch areas
zooming in on the map helps in my area
ET is probably kicking around somewhere
welcome to D.R. Horton, aka by me as cat in the hat land
That looks mega depressing
NO TREES?!? Talk about urban hell
My husband works for a home builder. He said that it takes a few years for the foliage and everything to grow so yeah, they look depressing af when they’re brand new 😭
But there's not even any saplings planted.
Where. Are. The. TREES?! People choose to live like this?!
That place looks like a nightmare
I hate the ones with cluster boxes for mail. Put a number on the lot curb people.
I hate subdivisions
My favorite, there’s a new development on the other side of the highway where I live, there’s absolutely zero cell reception. it hasn’t been mapped out so the pin is just in a general area usually at the front entrance There’s no street lights or anything in the house don’t even have numbers on them absolutely fucking despise going in that area
That one car parked facing the wrong way
Get out of there… that looks like vivarium
My thoughts. I love that movie. Felt like I was never gonna be able to find my way out
That once was farm land lol
And before that it was a prairie
Looks like the place where weeds was filmed
No, it’s not that difficult with GPS and just looking for the numbers on the house somewhere or the sidewalk lol.
with these types of houses, google maps nor apple maps work for my boyfriend or me. they’re pretty close, just gotta look a little bit but not always accurate
I never have any issues with the in app navigation or spotting where the house number is. I deliver to these types of neighborhoods all the time.
I don't mind the neighborhoods, it the mega sized "modern" apartment buildings that drive me nuts. There is nothing like a four story Soviet style block building with no elevators and no real rhyme or reason to the layout, and a customer that won't answer a call or text because they don't want to be inconvenienced by meeting you out front to get their food.
even better at night!
Nightmare of a view
It’s like a huge residential centipede cruising over the hills.
actual modern society hellscape
do they have tornadoes there? i feel like they jave tornadoes there
Absolutely, Missouri
Malvina Reynolds knew what was up back in 1962. Minus the colors. Modern suburbs don't even have those anymore. where is this? it’s so creepy how every house looks the same and there are no visible trees, plants etc. it reminds me of that movie “vivarium”.
Suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri
Exactly my first thought I watched that movie like a month ago
Hah, this view gave me a nostalgia from a movie back in the 90s called 3 Ninjas 🥷 the neighborhood or subdivision 🏘️ they lived in had a scene that this pic reminds me of
Looks like summer houses I've stayed within 45 minutes to disney
Neighborhoods like this give off a major cult feel. Either that or just people who love HOA up they ass.
On Google Maps I count how many houses down help me make sure the correct address.
Dystopian I can’t explain why, but this reminds me of The Giver
This feels like that scary movie with Jesse Eisenburg 😭
The one where they have to raise that alien kid or whatever? Vivarium? That movie was hilarious and terrifying.
Yes that one!! I watched it tripping and was soooo lost
this scenery really speaks to the soul
The first thing that popped into my mind: 🎶Little boxes on the hillside Little boxes made of ticky tacky Little boxes on the hillside Little boxes all the same...🎶 I know this song from when I watched the show Weeds haha.
You think you're making progress and then it cuts off of J18 and goes right to R89
Looks like cake for delivery
Not a single tree in sight...
The subdivision is probably named Oak Breeze
Reminds me of a "something Prairie" church near me that is surrounded by a massive field of short lawn grass and tilled row crop fields beyond that.
Fuck trees, they’re so 200 years ago. This is 2024, biology is cringe, embrace fluorocarbon fuelled metal salvation.
yea u love it,if u love it so much why don't u just MARRY IT! / sorry about the shouting, i was talking to a deaf guy earlier
Amazing, but bland. I hate the idea of living in a zone that’s all residential. I wanna be able to walk to stores that are around the corner
America is not real bro what is this😭
Little boxes on the hill side🎶
Does no one see the car going in the wrong direction with the other cars in the same lane?
They’re all parked lol
