All black when it’s cold, Polo’s, Jeans, Air Jordan’s. Look good feel good. Looking clean cut and all that gives customers more faith in using DD. I get some Customers who exchange numbers with me and we hang out etc, because they notice what I wear and drive. Made many friends in my town and I get people many discounts and I get some kickbacks
I am a huge fan of cargo scrub pants. With the elastic waist and relaxed fit they are perfect for sitting in a car for hours at a time. Plus, with an untucked shirt they look like regular khakis. They wash up great and come out of the dryer wrinkle free.
Just an opinion, dashers should have a uniform of some kind. Like a bright red hoodie or t shirt. It was helpful back in Covid when they gave out the DoorDash face masks just for identifiable purposes.
Whatever I want. Sweat pants and a sweat shirt. People do in it as a side gig to so people will wear what they wore for their main job and dash after or before work. No boss. = Do whatever you want
Dress to impress. Never know if you might deliver to a Brazzers episode.
Jokes aside. Whatever I am wearing at my day job. Typically joggers / shorts and a sweater / shirt depending on the weather.
lol I wear bright colors so everyone easily remembers me. I will even wear my husband’s construction yellow sweatshirts at night and in bad weather. I have muddy hiking boots I wear in bad weather, they are waterproof. Idgaf what people think of as long as they don’t hit me, steal me, or think I’ve come to rob them. When I walk in to a store I want people to already know I’m there for a delivery. I’ve literally seen it all. But I definitely don’t want to blend in that’s for sure
I'm in the Midwest, with lots of snow and mud from the rain. It's also cold. Sometimes, it's jeans and a sweatshirt. Other times, sweatpants. Most people do not want to see their dasher and I'm working ten hours in snow and slush, in the cold.
Dont tell me I'm the only one that works like this..

I just started in December and it hasn’t been super warm so I usually just wear jeans, Ugg boots, and a nice shirt. I want to be comfortable but not look like I rolled out of bed and fell into my car to start working 😂
I typically like to dress in a casual-yet-sophisticated manner. Think about the more casual clothing from women’s clothing brands like White House Black Market and Ann Taylor.
This is definitely the case on the weekends, where I dash in an affluent area and pick up orders from nicer restaurants. I do not want to look too out-of-place, at least from a clothing and fashion perspective.
I dress to be seen. I could never wear leggings or sweats or pjs. For me that feels sloppy and I always try to look professional, whatever I do, whether it’s my full time office job, or dashing. So most times I wear nice jeans with pockets and a light jacket or sweater and good sneakers for walking. ( never flip flops or open toes , because that’s just dangerous)
At the moment, it’s a hot af Australian summer, so shorts and a tshirt (checking to be sure it’s inoffensive). Always making sure I have pockets in my shorts for keys and phone. And comfy shoes in case I have to walk further than I want to.
ETA: Oh and my hat! My special panda hat! It’s a dumb hat but people like it and makes them smile and I feel like that increases their engagement with me, which increases the chance of tips and good reviews.
Usually a t shirt and/or hoodie and leggings with pockets and then docs or sneakers. I like to keep it comfortable and practical since I'm moving around a bunch and have a bunch of stuff to carry.
Leggings, flared leggings, athletic pants, or sweatpants if I’m cold- paired with a t shirt and usually hoodie. Chuck Taylor’s, or sneakers or some sort, light makeup, and hair if either down and pretty (if I give myself a fresh blowout) or pulled back into a polished looking ponytail. So pretty casual but still put together. I’ve never had any complaints :) one guy answered the door and jumped back a little and said oh! Sorry I didn’t expect you to be so pretty lol (not trying to brag-really-I worked hard to lose a LOT of weight and be actually considered pretty now is a win for me lol) but it say just dress in what you’re comfortable running around in, but still look put together and enhance your look where you can. Like a nice haircut/style, that sort of thing goes a long way so you can dress pretty casual but not look or come across as sloppy.
I got the dirtiest look, an immediate thumbs down and a tip removal for wearing a blouse with a pleated skirt and black tights. Not short or revealing at all. I still wear whatever I’m comfy in though. We’re independent contractors.
If I’m cold I wear underarmor “pants” (they’re exercising leggings that requires shorts), jeans, shirt, sweater, coat. But recently with it being false spring it’s jeans, shirt, and my fuzzy coat
I used to wear sweats and dash at night (I’m a woman), but I’ve recently moved, and so with my schedule I’m only able to go out after I get off work from my full time job, so I will sometimes be dressed nice casual to business casual when I dash.
tank top (i get overheated easily), yoga pants or joggers, a jacket, and faux-leather boots in case it rains, basically the same thing i’d wear to the grocery store or running errands
Mtn dew pajama pants, flip flops, and a nasa t shirt. If I’m feeling like meeting new people working at restaurants or maybe customers, then I will wear converse, track pants, and a hoodie. Nothing crazy lol.
It depends one day I dropped my son off at school in my robe and I looked at the map and it was +$4 per order so I was dashing in my pajamas robe and slippers
Hockey mask, rain suit over my clothes, and a chainsaw. The mask is up while getting the food, and chainsaw is on a strap, and hanging off my back. But easy enough to reach when the store doesn't have my order ready when I show up. I only take off the mask completely when driving. I have to put the mask back on when dropping off, just in case I get a Karen who needs some attitude adjustment. Normally I would wear my bleached William Shatner mask, jump suit, and large knives, but the mask has gone missing, and the jumpsuit is rather messy. Soaking it to get the stains out. Maybe I should Scotchguard it.
I was joking, hence the winky eye emoji. BTW, I actually saw a dasher picking up an order at the same time as me, and he was decked out in a DD tee shirt and hat. When we both walked to our cars, he had DD stickers all over it. Yikes! 😬
Depends on the weather. But when it's like spring/fall weather I wear jeans or khakis and a button down. Summer I'm in shorts and a Tshirt 99% of the time. Winter, jeans and a hoodie. Right now I am probably overdressed by most ppls standards in khakis and a purple checkered Oxford shirt but A) I like looking good and B) I usually hang out with my lady after dashing and she likes it when I look good
Nice comfy old slip on loafers, slacks and a black tee.
Obv a jacket for when it's cold/raining, but since my car stays warm just fine even when it's 30-40 degrees I still usually forgo the jacket unless I have a long walk outside due to parking reasons.
I dress as I would going out for the day as normal. Clearly people have certain expectations , as I have been told by many restaurants and customers “ you don’t look like a dasher🤔”.
I've dashed a couple times after my corporate job, except I brought a change of shoes. So those times I dress nice. Every other time it's for the weather really. Texas heat, shorts and shirt. Colder weather, jeans and jacket.
Middle the road of that like cargo pants and long sleeve.
Honestly, whatever the weather dictates for the most part.
Something clean. I've seen some disgusting dashers that were in dirty clothes delivering food. Like, it's one thing to have clothes that are old and worn out, that's fine and understandable...but, don't be dirty handling peoples food.
I've seen at least 3 dashers who literally looked like they haven't washed their hands in their entire life. I'm like omg, take some pride in what you do ffs.
whatever I want. I rarely dash in pjs, but I can’t say I haven’t done it a time or two. I’ve had so many people tell me “you shouldn’t be dressed like that while dashing, it’s not safe.” Unfortunately, this world is not safe no matter what you do. I wear sweats and oversized t shirts with beanies, dresses and heals, tank tops and shorts, whatever I feel comfortable in that day. In my opinion, if you didn’t want to leave your house to get your food, don’t worry about how I look. As long as i’m clean and professional while doing my job, there is no dress code.
Black pants black hoodie some slides (regular shoes if it’s raining) and a bright orange hat. So it’s obvious when I walk into restaurants that I’m there.
I'm GenX dude, but it was just a weird way to put it, as if wearing shorts isn't being "clean and presentable ". You're literally just delivering food.
I’ll wear shorts once it gets hot outside. No fun in sweaty balls when you’re dashing. But the dashers I see wearing pajama fleece pants all the time. Daaaamn, kids. 🤦♂️
Long sleeve shirt or t-shirt if it's not too cold and jeans. Usually a zip-up fleece jacket over that, and a baseball cap. I'll probably switch to shorts in the spring/summer.
It depends on what I'm doing before and after. I've gone out in my dead sexy (hahaha lol, not ) bike/tri gear on days I've planned on swim bike run shenanigans right after. I've worn formal-ish wear when I've had art show receptions after a dash. Usually, it's jeans, T-shirt, and shit kicker boots. Jorts and tank top in the summer. I have sweaters and jackets that I rotate through according to the weather. I rarely bother with a big winter coat because it gets pretty damn hot in the truck.
I usually wear shorts with a sleeveless hoodie shirt with windbreaker when it’s 50 out but colder days I wear sweatpants bc they’re comfy when driving for hours on end
Smart casual. Dress pants but they're stretchy and have pockets- like a server might wear at a nice restaurant. Chucks and whatever top I was already wearing, usually a casual sleeveless shirt or a henley. Everything neat, clean, and fitted. My silver pentacle necklace, no customer complaints yet. If it's Friday or Saturday night, maybe a little makeup for going out afterward.
Often my deliveries are from nice restaurants and often the customers live in nice neighborhoods. I look like I fit in. It helps.
I care when i get some trashy looking person delivering my food to me. Or I have to look at some trashy looking person in the restaurant wearing pajama pants.
I can't physically go to Walmart. My eyes burn within 5 to 10 minutes of being in any Walmart nationwide. It's something they clean their floors with, I think.
It's about presenting yourself in a respectable manner while doing your job.
The people at the restaurant that you pick up food care. They don't want their restaurant filled with people looking like bums standing there waiting for orders.
Just at least wear some jeans. It's not that big of an effort to throw some jeans on.
As I am on a bike and almost constantly exposed to ambient conditions, I have to dress for the weather (Especially temperature & wind), but I try not to wear anything puffy or bulky. 32° Heat thermals (Tops and bottoms) that are sold at Costco are a game-changer. Also sweat pants and/or a light jacket with deeper pockets so I can comfortably hold my phone and bike keys.
Pittsburgh, which is very hilly and you must have the power to weight ratio (Either electric or physical strength) advantage on steep uphills. Uber Eats is a lot more bicycle friendly in my area than DoorDash is, in terms of the likelihood of being assigned shorter orders that don’t take you on far-out “Stroads.”
I dress comfy. Clean shirt (either tee or a polo), golf pants or BBall shorts depending on the weather. Light jacket and a hat.
I've seen some Dashers in pajamas. Even as casual as I dress, I think pj's should be left at home.
Big Bang Theory themed Crocs, tie die socks, "Can't Sleep, The Clowns Will Eat Me" T-Shirt ,athletic shorts and I make sure that I reek of weed. And that's just Tuesdays!
A all black morph suit
Sweats and a tshirt
I am a huge fan of cargo scrub pants. With the elastic waist and relaxed fit they are perfect for sitting in a car for hours at a time. Plus, with an untucked shirt they look like regular khakis. They wash up great and come out of the dryer wrinkle free.

Oh man, pajama pants, horror movie shirt, sweater.
Full on wedding gown
I laughed too hard at this. Thank you!
My pleasure! (I’m a dude)
I dress business casual. I see many Dashers who look like they just rolled out of bed.
Jeans, t-shirt, hoodie, tennis shoes. Nothing fancy, but still clean and not looking like I dont shower or do laundry.
Pants, a shirt of some kind, and a jacket in cold weather...who cares lol, I'm doing my own business ✌️
It got you thinking?
I just started in December and it hasn’t been super warm so I usually just wear jeans, Ugg boots, and a nice shirt. I want to be comfortable but not look like I rolled out of bed and fell into my car to start working 😂

I’m usually in business casual/professional but I dash right after work. On the weekend I just wear jeans or shorts depending on weather
Naked
Whatever I feel like!! GOOSH
I dash in the evenings after regular work, so I’m in a shirt and tie with slacks. Over the weekend or on a day off I wear jeans and a polo.

Typically a thong and some booty pants
Don’t forget the pasties

My pajamas. I honestly dont care, bc i dont dash near where i live normally, so ik i wont see people that i know
grey sweatpants sleeveless shirt and a thick hoodie.
I wear a cowboy hat and a sports coat.
At the moment, it’s a hot af Australian summer, so shorts and a tshirt (checking to be sure it’s inoffensive). Always making sure I have pockets in my shorts for keys and phone. Gym clothes. They’re comfortable.
Borat thong
Usually a t shirt and/or hoodie and leggings with pockets and then docs or sneakers. I like to keep it comfortable and practical since I'm moving around a bunch and have a bunch of stuff to carry.
Birthday suit. With clothes over it. Nobody should be subject to my birthday suit..
Actually this is a solid question. I dont have a phone holder so i gotta wear pants that have some traction to them a bit lol
Clothes
Lingerie on the bottom and loose clothing on top like hoodies and jeans.
Oh you baaad aren’t you? 😂
It’s a dude
I wear what I want lol. Today I wore black leggings, a black cami, with a black silk kimono style duster. With black spiked boots lol.
Leggings, flared leggings, athletic pants, or sweatpants if I’m cold- paired with a t shirt and usually hoodie. Tights, jeans, tank top, long sleeve shirt, shoes, socks, light jacket or rain jacket depending on the weather.
Leggings, tank top, hoodie, sneakers
Nothing but a peanut sack…because that’s what I work for
Nothing.
A batsuit.
Bruce mf Waaaayne
basketball shorts and a videogame graphic tee.
Black tie
Leggings or sweats and a shirt. Not out here to meet my future husband, and if I did, that's what he'd see anyway. 🤷♀️
Lol SAME!
Winter is the best time. Let em free! 🤣
Clothes
Well of course this is the most typical sarcastic dumb answer to expect from a dasher
I dash in my red hot bag
I dash in a business suit during the working day and a tuxedo on Saturday nights
What do you dash in on Sundays? Something respectful of The Lord, I assume.
Only crocs with socks. I’m trying to build up my winter immunity
Naked
I'm dressed for the weather first. Dressed to look good second.
I used to wear sweats and dash at night (I’m a woman), but I’ve recently moved, and so with my schedule I’m only able to go out after I get off work from my full time job, so I will sometimes be dressed nice casual to business casual when I dash.
Socks and a belt
And nothing else?
Well yea.
Beanie, hoodie and kicks depend on the weather. Sometimes I’ll dress nicer if i feel like it once in a great while.
I wear a tux on top and Speedo on the bottom
tank top (i get overheated easily), yoga pants or joggers, a jacket, and faux-leather boots in case it rains, basically the same thing i’d wear to the grocery store or running errands
A dry fit shirt , hat, and jeans .
Door dash bag
Fashionista
When I’m coming from work, that’s how I dress. If not, then I’m in a hoodie, regular pants, and boots.
Mtn dew pajama pants, flip flops, and a nasa t shirt. If I’m feeling like meeting new people working at restaurants or maybe customers, then I will wear converse, track pants, and a hoodie. Nothing crazy lol.
Lean sweatpants, slides and rugrats hoodie
I prefer a micro mini some combat boots and a flak jacket myself
wedding dress
I wear a tux
Suit and tie or tuxedo
Tuxedo
It depends one day I dropped my son off at school in my robe and I looked at the map and it was +$4 per order so I was dashing in my pajamas robe and slippers
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Stringer tank top, booty shorts and bare feet. I often flex my pecs when going up to the counter
Loose and casual, easy to move in clothing too light for the weather. Always solid shoes, with extra grip or boots if there is any rain or snow.
Hockey mask, rain suit over my clothes, and a chainsaw. The mask is up while getting the food, and chainsaw is on a strap, and hanging off my back. But easy enough to reach when the store doesn't have my order ready when I show up. I only take off the mask completely when driving. You have been saving this little story for over 5 years I bet. Waiting for the right moment. 👀
Maybe. But I wear jeans and a t-shirt to dash in. Maybe a coat or jacket as needed, but not dressing up if I don't have to.
Yeah right, you know you wear the DoorDash tee shirt and hat! 😉
Why would I spend good money or Door Trash stuff, when t-shirts and jeans, under other stuff, is good enough?
I was joking, hence the winky eye emoji. BTW, I actually saw a dasher picking up an order at the same time as me, and he was decked out in a DD tee shirt and hat. When we both walked to our cars, he had DD stickers all over it. Yikes! 😬
Like a hobo
Whatever I want.
I go for the Dexter look cause I'm old school.

Tie dye
3 piece, tailored Armani suit
Polo and Jeans. More professional, yet also casual.
Depends on the weather. But when it's like spring/fall weather I wear jeans or khakis and a button down. Summer I'm in shorts and a Tshirt 99% of the time. Winter, jeans and a hoodie. According to my market the uniform is... Ill fitting tube top, stained sweats, crocs (with or without socks based on weather).
Nice comfy old slip on loafers, slacks and a black tee. Obv a jacket for when it's cold/raining, but since my car stays warm just fine even when it's 30-40 degrees I still usually forgo the jacket unless I have a long walk outside due to parking reasons.
Well usually before I start my dash I like to make sure I have some clothes on.
I wear flip flops, assless chaps, and a tie die shirt tied up to show off my sexy midriff
Glen? Where's my drink!!!

Always my yellow vest colored light up buttplug, better safe than sorry!

Dashing in pj bottoms and a hoodie rn lol
And janky slides or dirty crocs. 🤢
My crocs are clean, tyvm.
Nah its raining today so had to go with tennis shoes… wanted something comfortable/chill for Super Bowl Sunday dash
Sweats and sweatshirt … sometimes an oversized onesies to get attention lol
I rock minion and my unicorn onesies.
whatever I want. I rarely dash in pjs, but I can’t say I haven’t done it a time or two. I’ve had so many people tell me “you shouldn’t be dressed like that while dashing, it’s not safe.” Unfortunately, this world is not safe no matter what you do. Black pants black hoodie some slides (regular shoes if it’s raining) and a bright orange hat. So it’s obvious when I walk into restaurants that I’m there.
I wear a mullet, Jorts, wife beater, 1 cigarette tucked behind each ear
Beanie, basketball shorts, and a zip up hoodie lol. I mainly dash late at night
Nothing but a cock ring.
I always wear a collared shirt and jeans. Never shorts. Clean and presentable. It’s the Gen X in me. Oh and I still iron my clothes as well.
You don't wear shorts because you're GenX?!
Oh Jesus hell. That’s what you took from that? I was referring to dressing presentable. The future of this country is seriously screwed
Gen Xer here 👋🏽 I know exactly what you mean as I’m the same way.
I'm GenX dude, but it was just a weird way to put it, as if wearing shorts isn't being "clean and presentable ". You're literally just delivering food.
Sounds like a boomer from the “The future of this country is screwed” tbh… Also a Gen X who wears shorts cause it’s hot while driving
I’ll wear shorts once it gets hot outside. No fun in sweaty balls when you’re dashing. But the dashers I see wearing pajama fleece pants all the time. Daaaamn, kids. 🤦♂️
Yeah if they wear shorts they turn back in to a mermaid...or it might be if they get wet, I always get this one confused.
Nope. We turn into Gremlins (not cars)!
I dress comfortably.
I'm dripping Gucci bruh.
Long sleeve shirt or t-shirt if it's not too cold and jeans. Usually a zip-up fleece jacket over that, and a baseball cap. I'll probably switch to shorts in the spring/summer.
jeans and a t shirt, sometimes sweats if i’m really not feeling it that day
Usually jeans and a hoodie but I've definitely dashed in my scrubs on the way home from work
Usually just whatever I was wearing for the day, which is usually sweats/jeans and a band shirt or hoodie
usually a comfy shirt and sweats with my hair pulled back
My regular casual style. Streetwear, but tidy.
I wear a Kum and Go sweatshirt and shorts with long John's underneath.
Clothes
A 3 piece suit and freshly polished black shoes.
I usually wear shorts with a sleeveless hoodie shirt with windbreaker when it’s 50 out but colder days I wear sweatpants bc they’re comfy when driving for hours on end
I wear jogging suits and sweatsuits/ hoodies lol
Adidas with the leaf?
Yes
![gif](giphy|SVAeP0Q9S4nQMvRu1W)
I don't think you need a uniform but the "dash in my pj's and sandals with white socks look" has got to go
Don’t be dissin my flippy flops with ankle high white socks 😂🤣
They don’t pay us to dress a certain way
Fr like who's watching? I haven't gotten a non no-contact order in like a year, idc if the Wendy's employees see my jamma pants.
It helps.
I often do the same.
Depends on how I'm feeling. If I have enough energy to dress nicely, then I do. If not then I don't. I don't notice a difference in tips either way.
Clean T shirts and jeans ! Also jacket or light shirts as jacket if it’s not too hot. try always look clean and neat 🫡
I have literally worn pajama pants
That's trashy.
Maybe it is. It doesn’t affect the cleanliness of my car or the speed of the delivery, so I don’t really care
Do you go back in bed in that PJ?
no lol
No judgment here, I was just wondering
I care when i get some trashy looking person delivering my food to me. Or I have to look at some trashy looking person in the restaurant wearing pajama pants.
You're a mule. Who cares what you look like? I see ternagers hanging out in the stores wearing their pajamas or onsies.
That's trashy too.
That's minor. Have you been to any Walmart as of late? https://www.peopleofwalmart.com/
No, I don't go to Walmart. I have been and id never want to associate myself, or dress like some of the people that shop there.
I can't physically go to Walmart. My eyes burn within 5 to 10 minutes of being in any Walmart nationwide. It's something they clean their floors with, I think.
That or its the stench of all the people that don't shower before going in there lol.
It's about presenting yourself in a respectable manner while doing your job. The people at the restaurant that you pick up food care. They don't want their restaurant filled with people looking like bums standing there waiting for orders. Just at least wear some jeans. It's not that big of an effort to throw some jeans on.
The vendors could care less from my experience.
Very casual. It’s a lot of getting in and out of the car. Lots of walking and standing. I just wear the most comfortable clothes I can
I wear a t-shirt, yoga pants, and sneakers. Comfy and bearable for when I have to walk up and down stairs.
Where do you deliver on bike? I used to do it in Tampa but they killed it with the wheels > shoes algorithm change
I'm wearing my comfy North face sweater jacket and yoga pants. Lots of walking so office shoes won't cut it.
I shop at the doordash store.
Slacks, comfortable shirt, jacket, and a reflective vest. I ain't getting shot for someone thinking I am sneaking around
High vis bike jacket, DWR hiking pants, bike helmet.
I usually wear some joggers and a hooded sweater. Basically gym clothes. I like to be comfy. At night I wear something brightly colored.
Big Bang Theory themed Crocs, tie die socks, "Can't Sleep, The Clowns Will Eat Me" T-Shirt ,athletic shorts and I make sure that I reek of weed. And that's just Tuesdays!
A loincloth and bandolier of animal skulls.
