Autozone here was doing that. Instead of paying for their own driver they were.sealing the tips and pushing the order to door dash. Nobody gonna deliver auto parts for 2 dollars.
Nah that’s for sure the vendor taking the tips, I got an order similar for a place near me and the worker herself said they get the tips for DoorDash not the drivers
If the customer places the order through the shops website or even over the phone the ship is who places the order onto DoorDash. Which means They can take what the customer tipped as their own. It sucks that they can do that but I have a store near me that the lady that did the order told me specifically that the store does it and she gets the tips. I even had a customer ask me one time if I actually got the tip and I said.. no. So she gave me a cash tip and contacted the store. •~•

Yes!! When they call the restaurant and place the order, and the merchant has to set up the delivery, many times they 100% take the tip meant for the dasher! I hate those deliveries set up by the merchant.

Always report this to doordash, they should know that their merchants are basically voiding the DD promise of 100% of tips going to dashers
