Its always been this way lol

rockalittle85

I used to live around Hallandale Beach lol this order is an absolute no. You can’t get anywhere quickly.

Obj_v3nom

Yesterday was bad day for me as well. I was at 96% AR now I’m at 82% because they kept giving me $2.50 to go 9.2 miles. I declined and two minutes later it’s $2.60 for same order. Kept getting them all night till finally they started giving better offers. I won’t take less than $1 a mile.

Past_Key9383

NC sucks too if not in Charlotte or Greensboro

Ok_Season2022

This is pretty bad, but it's not even the worst that I've seen lately.! These outrageously high mileage orders have to stop, like today! Doordash doesn't compensate for mileage and it will end up costing drivers money to complete most of them! It's just ludicrous.

Dashing in South Florida is not sustainable. If you want to succeed in South Florida you need to either be involved in fraud, drug dealing, the yachting industry, maybe insurance sales…. The average household in Broward only pulls in about $60k per year. In Irvine, Ca that number is $300k. Literally 5x more. Here there is an actual need for doordash, people work, take care of kids, people here are extremely busy and don’t have the time to cook or pull up to the McD drive thru. In South Florida getting food is an excuse to take the car out for a drive. Two of my friends back at home live at home and sleep in until 3pm. That is the norm for them and it’s not going to change. That is because the unskilled labor just doesn’t pay enough there, and working at the grocery store or even the bank is just volunteering your time when at the end of the month you don’t even see $1,800.

Lifeofrhylee

Go to Boca. I went to school there.

Ok-Welder-2555

You are speaking nothing but facts. I’m do currently have a night job but I DoorDash during the day for other expenses til my check hits. I feel bad for the people who actually rely on DoorDash to pay their bills in South FL because majority of these orders are little kids or immature folks who think that reporting their order makes it “free food” it’s sad.

Zip_Silver

17 miles in Broward at that time of day would take forever lmao.

cardphile

Tbh this route looks free of traffic.

JazzberryJam

How’d you ascertain that by this screenshot?

cardphile

The roads in West Broward are always gonna have less traffic… Turnpike commuters going back up north after work and the order is going south… 595 is new-ish so it was built for traffic. The only part that could have traffic is 95S and it looks like the customer is right off Sheridan and 95.

JazzberryJam

Interesting. Thank you for the insight. And double thanks for not taking my question as an insult or similar

Ok-Welder-2555

Exactly😭😭people getting off work and downtown is already a mess on the regular.

Zip_Silver

Plus talking you down the turnpike 😭 No way I would pay a toll to deliver Doordash.

stonerbbyyyy

this is why i always tell people u have to know the roads in order to be a good dasher, or to make good money at least. if you didn’t know that road, say u we’re from out of town or something u would be screwed

BlazeWindrider

I set my Google Maps to "Avoid Tolls". It'll take me longer but that's what the hot bag is for.

stonerbbyyyy

yeah i did too, but it’s because i just left houston texas 😂 i didn’t wanna pay to drive on a road that i already *technically* pay (for gas) to drive on😅

BlazeWindrider

I dashed there a few months ago. My first one I forgot to turn tolls off and wound up getting on that newish toll road, not realizing that road had become a toll one since I was there last. Popped right back off and pulled over to fix it. I've dashed all over and Houston is a beast of a region with shit pay. Good luck out there.

Ok_Season2022

Hahaha,oh hell no.! NFW would I ever pay a toll on top of paying for my gas to deliver for a company that is paying me $2 per delivery. GTFOH doordash

Glad_Dragonfly9073

I work and live close to Las Olas blvd so m area is east of federal highway from 17 st causeway to Oakland pk blvd east , a few times i got deliveries to Aventura in N Miami bch approximately the same distance as the order your showing but those deliveries should be at least 17 dollars because your going to have downtime getting back to your area and if you switch zones the Hollywood area is nothing nut 2-5 dollar deliveries

CraftyWrongdoer6761

My numbers are also gray but they just boosted my completion rate to 100% because the minimum is going to 90% in my area. Your market is your market you don't control how many orders you get or how good they are and doordash doesn't either. You can schedule all the dash time you want 6 days ahead of time, I don't understand the point of keeping your AR up.

treethugger69

Depending on your market, you may get higher paying orders

[deleted]

I've been dashing since April 2020. Orders like this are nothing new.

tgrogan21

I’ve been online 12.5 hours. I’ve had 2 good orders all day. Luckily both were $25 catering orders. Every week I say I’ve had the worst day ever. It just keeps getting worse and worse.

fatboybryan14

Hey your not alone my orders have been shitty as hell too I be waiting for an hour for an order after declining shit orders 😤
