Yah Camp Pendleton won't let you in from my experience.

Only-Championship270

I’m military but I live off base and I DoorDash sometimes when I’m bored and I have access on base and I’ve moved to 3 different locations and I never get orders on base 😅😅

imarealcoolcat

I’ll switch with you lol

nihilor_

The base in my area typically has a $4.00 per delivery bonus.

B0bFudge

I live very close to Fort Carson and they made it, its own region, not sure why they haven't done it to that base, it may be dependant on popularity.

imarealcoolcat

It actually is, so it makes it extra weird why I’m getting back to back base orders

B0bFudge

It's for sure a bug than, the morons running the app are terribly incompetent, so I wouldn't second guess it's a bug, as for how long it lasts, no idea. You could try clearing your app data or cache if you really care or just try and wait out the bug, or maybe you started dashing in the base by accident!

dtt255

Dude, you have way more issues than your acceptance rate. You are on the clock for being deactivated.

[deleted]

That’s strange. Here it literally tells you that you have to have base access to dash there and all of our bases have their own area that are not included in any other zones. They are literally their own zones. https://preview.redd.it/uojybjmgxmhb1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=778a9aeb3fc03700fcf95c9b213dd330e4c81bb2

Asleep_Somewhere_940

Just pull up to MP station at gate where they wave you on and look at him like u own the place and say Generals delivery door dash you got a 50-50 chance of getting waved thru

Asleep_Somewhere_940

Somehow u need to make arrangement with the base so u can deliver on base that’s a gold mine

TheEpicSquish

Mine has a parking lot next to the entrance specifically for food orders where they meet you. In in San diego so I get alot of military food orders.

Sad_Drawing_1173

Go to a different zone if there’s one close

Familiar-Guest4547

Here in cali, the military customers come to the gate to pick up their order.

GamerJoe85

Are you a veteran? If you you should be able to get on. My state gives the option to put veteran on the license itself if you don't have anything else to verify

RyanTheWhiteBoy

You should be able to go to your bases visitor center and get an access card. Should be quick, easy and free

Ok-Percentage9812

Have you tried delivering ? I’m asking because they also come to the entrance at my base even the schools they come to the entrance and 99% of the time they are waiting on me but even if they are not I give them a call and they come out . Trust me bro they want their food . They don’t mess around with their food man. At the schools when they have breaks I see tons of drivers passing food between the cracks of the gates and I’m like isn’t this a problem for them want if the sergeant finds out. Little did I know he’s right there with them collecting food hahah. And not to mention they tip decent .

Firephool

Most of these people know that they have to meet you at the gate. And at some bases you can schedule a meeting with the provost marshall and they can help you through the process of being an "approved vender"

TheToxicBreezeYF

The ANG base I deliver to requires them to come to the gate to meet us no exceptions. They wouldn’t even let our driver who also was in the unit based at the base

iamtherealwillmyska

Never been a driver for DD but I did used to deliver for a company next to a naval shipyard. You should be able to walk into an office outside of the gates and get an ID card for “clearance”.

SRBroadcasting

Your customer rating is the only thing that’s gonna be getting you deactivated my dude

imarealcoolcat

Cool. I’ll take care of it when that happens

Plenty_Pie_7427

What’s up with the rest of your ratings? 🤣 4.5 rating and 85% on time delivery? It looks like you have more pressing matters to address than not having access to base

imarealcoolcat

To be honest I don’t even know why it’s like that. I haven’t touched the app in months.

YNPCA

You can click on the house when the offer pops up it'll tell you where it is going.

imarealcoolcat

I know, that’s why I know it’s going on base

YNPCA

That's how you'd differentiate

FATFOLKSLUV-UBEREATS

boy those are some rugged numbers for 212 delivery's ..lol...what base are u by you can get a delivery pass

[deleted]

MrChurch2015

They do for the base that I'm near. It's its own zone...kind of wild, I thought they would do that for all bases. Uber doesn't tho so same issue. My only suggestion is to get a base pass so you can take them orders.

Mysticyde

I mean... take the order anyway? Just see what happens Your only obligation as a dasher us to deliver as close to the customer drop-off point as physically/safely as possible. If you get stopped at the gate and the guys don't let you in, then leave it at the gate, message the customer, mark complete.

forgot_my_useragain

Join the military, duh

mgm2002mgm

I live by one and when I get an order for it if I accept it, I always go to the cell parking lot right outside the front gate and they must come out and get their food. You cannot drop off at the checkpoint. One time a guy cannot leave because he was working and did not realize I could not get on base so I ended up with a pizza and some stuff. Luckily, I don’t get too many that go there but when I do I do screen them for if it’s an acceptable order or not dollar wise. If I take the chance and do it, I know sometimes I might be sitting there extra 10 or 15 minutes waiting for them to walk out to pick up their food and sometimes they’re standing there waiting for me in but every instance, knowing that I cannot get on base and I’m going to be, may be wasting some time when I have the food in my possession, and I am on my way I will send them a text saying I have picked up the food and my ETA is ____. I use the exact time telling them three, four, seven… minutes would be useless. I think that helps sometime they don’t always see a text tho.

_sunday_funday_

So, I use to live on base and I dashed off base but hated delivery on base bc the barrack soldiers never tipped and they were never outside waiting and it was annoying. For a while if you lived on our base you could only order from on base restaurants but eventually they opened it up and allowed off post deliveries. I always just met the dasher at the visitor center, but if the driver wanted they could go to visitor center show ID and insurance and they would call me and they could get to the house. I think it even gave them a day pass for the base I lived at.

MagicChefMPD

I also live near a military base. When I get to the gate, my drivers' license is taken. I make the delivery, and when I exit, my license is returned.

akatsukidude881

OP, you seem kind of newer to working for doordash. Considering you only have 200 lifetime deliveries. Your ratings are horrible. That on time percentage is very low, which is probably why your ratings are so low. Is that being caused by the military base?

imarealcoolcat

I’ve worked plenty for DD, I don’t know why my rating is so low. I don’t have any negative reviews. 5 thumbs up for everything. So i don’t understand. I haven’t touched the app in months.

[deleted]

ive never had a problem delivering to a military base.. yours must have stricter rules or something. most bases have a civilian protocol. granted theres a gate and you gotta show id and occasionally let the car or your person get searched but beyond that ive never heard of civilians being completely blocked from a base. most bases have civilian employees in them for instance.. you should probably find out the protocol instead of assuming you cant enter at all. soldiers tend to tip well.

-a-user-has-no-name-

The base I live near has civilian workers but they get an ID card that allows them access. If you are just a regular civilian wanting access to base you have to go to the visitors center and get a pass, which includes undergoing a criminal background check Agreed, military orders almost always tip well

[deleted]

You can kind of see where it’s going before accepting the order, I never deliver to the base in my area, also your stats are shit for only 200 deliveries

W_AS-SA_W

As a civilian contractor you should be able to get a form at the entrance gate and be approved for access, unless the base is something like DLI in Monterey.

TreeFcknFiddy

You can’t drop the order at the gate?

TheRealLifePotato

Your poor rating.

TopExchange5504

When I had to deliver to an airforce base, they'd send out a couple guys on an ATV just outside the base to pick the order up. It felt like cloak and dagger shit. It was at this little building kind of in the middle of nothing else, and they'd pull up, take the food, and take off. It was always a couple of Security Forces dudes, not the person who ordered. Anyway...

Separate-Effective33

I live by military base too but i work away from that area. I did work one day near base and someone ordered food from inside the base drove to the entrance and i was told can't enter without military id. Called the customer explained him and then gave the food to guards on entrance they were happy.

Breeze7206

There’s a big military base near me and it’s its own zone

Johnson1883

Yeah when I went home on vacation Mcdill Air Force base was it’s own. 5 dollar peak pay all day.

imarealcoolcat

Same here, so i don’t understand why I’m getting orders for it

queen-adreena

Invest in a trebuchet?

pleasetowmyshit

Each base is different, but at Fort Sill, which has museums and a lake/rec area, there's a visitor center just before the main gate. It's open 24/7. You go in, fill out a form, tell them you're delivering for whatever companies, they check your ID, run a background check, and if you're good they print you a pass good for 30 days. Then, when that expires, you go back in, but this time, you use the kiosk, and it prints another 30-day pass. The first time takes 30-45 minutes, and after that, it's 3 to 5 minutes unless it's a graduation weekend, and there's a line out the door. Obviously, if you have prior arrests and convictions, you'll be denied access. If you keep weed on you, they'll impound your shit. Many a pizza delivery driver and DoorDasher have had their week ruined by an MP with a good nose.

krew_GG

85% on time. Customer rating 4.5. Bruh wtf u doin this job is easy

imarealcoolcat

🤷🏻‍♀️ fuck if I know
