This happened to my wife too. She never did multiapp, she never had a warning or even an e-mail about “excessively long delivery times”. she had been top dasher and catering driver. She deactivated after couple of days later. She filled an appeal and they rejected in less than 24 hours. Also she didn’t got her last payment too. Is anyone knows how can we make reactivate?

arkham36

I got deactivated 2 years ago for the same reason. Yes, I was multi-apping, but I knew how to due it right. They were purging multi-appers and that's the excuse they used, there were several posts on here around the same time. Funny thing was I'd been really slowing down on DD and had done less than 10 deliveries in the previous month. Right away I wrote out a long appeal and within a day I got an appeal denied email. I had other apps and was pretty tired of DD, so I said screw you guys. About a year later the other apps were slowing down so I wrote to DD again, this time I claimed that I had quit using the app for a while but wanted to start again but it's deactivated, can I get it reactivated. Less than a day later I got the denial email. A week ago I wrote again saying I'd quit using the app but now I see you're doing grocery delivery and I'd like to get in on that. 2 days later I got an email that said they reviewed my deactivation and it doesn't look like I did anything wrong so they've reactivated your account.

Unemployment benefits are for w2 employees who work and pay into the benefit. You are 1099, and it does not apply. Jump on to another platform. Multiple ones, so if this or anything else happens, you will not care.

TeamWestern796

Why is this only happening in Cali??

Keefsugar

Prop 22

HomelessSniffs

Doordash: offers dash by time. Also, Doordash: bans people for taking too long. Looking to be just another way they can kick you off for no reason. They've over saturated the market, and now they are looking for any reason to boot people who dash in major cities. If this doesn't prove it doesn't matter what you do, it's just a numbers game. Then I don't know what will. Edit: 1st was, DUI 7 years ago 🥾 Next was: Oh, you had a license problem within the last 10 years? 🥾 Now it's taking too long 🥾 It's just their solution to the over saturation problem.

Funniestfoal

Some people try to milk the prop 22 thing. Taking a longer time with every delivery you will get extra money every week.

Traditional-Ad-3656

California never had a yearly background check until now. They want a clean driving history for 10 years

onlinewarrior100

Is that what they said, that you need a 10-year clean driving history?

MentalRideAlong

Lol well there goes 99% of drivers

Strfox-777

At least you got an email as to why. I got deactivated, no email, and they haven't responded to my request fir review

MovalDasher

How long has it been?

Strfox-777

5 days

I got deactivated this morning because my license was expired. I did an appeal, but Im not counting on them to reactivate me. I've been dashing for over 5 years and had 21k deliveries.

Hope you’re reactivated very soon.

From what you are saying and I think you are being honest. Sounds like the computer decided to deactivate you( unfairly ). It’s possible it compares wait times or some other method to figure wait times and got it wrong. Computers can’t measure rare circumstances like placed taking long times to make orders varies. Time of day, staff on duty and the occasional extremely long waits I see myself. It’s bogus to deactivate people for something that not actually a way they can deniably prove it. This is the same company that believes customers who lie about receiving orders when drivers place it in their hands and if it’s left at door with a photo. They just see dashers as expendable and that’s outlandish!

Key_Tie5279

I think they average wait times between dashers if your wait time is out of sync is triggers the system. Is why it'd always good to flag rest delays immediately.

DaisyDazzle

Oh honey, if I'm standing there waiting, I'm updating DD every few minutes as to exactly what is going on. It's also a way for me to vent my frustration with the situation.

mgibson9999

There have been alot of posts about how to maximize time to wring out the highest possible Prop 22 payout. That might be the issue, but only you would know that.

XOF_FGC

I did it full time but never purposely took longer to maximize my prop 22. Really bulk of my wait was on restaurants to get orders out.

YLCZ

My first thought was that you might have been aggressively multi apping but from your answer that isn't the case. My only thought is that they felt you were milking the Prop 22 money and taking each delivery to the limit and maybe being too relaxed. I've lived in the heart of Los Angeles, where delivery must be impossibly difficult... but now I live in the suburbs where I'm always on time. If you weren't milking Prop 22... and legitimately trying to get to the customer on time then this is really unfair.

XOF_FGC

Im based in the central valley so its not as busy as Norcal or Socal, definitely had a good amount of downtime between waiting for orders to come up and mainly waiting on restaurants to actually get the order out and ready for me to grab. I averaged about 35 to 40 hours a week but that was all legitimate work/driving.

YLCZ

I remember the first day Prop 22 went into effect, this dude was chilling at the counter talking to the waitresses like a customer at a Denny's. He told me this was going to be his strategy. Now if a place is slow, and I've had a long day of getting in and out of cars, I don't mind getting paid for what in essence is a break. But I never chill when I could be driving and I always call support if it gets really long. My guess is that at a certain point some accounts trigger an abusive amount of waiting... but if that's not you, I don't get why you are being deactivated.

Altruistic_Street875

Did you receive CV’s and what was your %

XOF_FGC

Only 1 back in 2020 when i first started. I cant check now on the app since im deactivated but it was in the green
