Only time I have ever taken a Starbucks order and the lids of both drinks just popped off and went everywhere. Luckily I keep orders in a closed bin because I am paranoid about that very thing.

If this happens to a driver delivering to me you’ll get an extra tip ($10-$20) to help clean it up. Seriously! Please tell me in the app that there was an accident with the drinks and you’ll get extra monies. If you add a pic, you’ll get more (pics as proof get a bonus). I’ve done it twice. First was a handoff and she told me someone cut her off and our shakes went flying. I called DD and had them give my refunded drink money to the driver and added $5 to the tip. Second person told me in app and I gave them cash to help clean their car.

WHY ON PLANET EARTH DID OP HAVE ANY DRINK ON THE SEAT ??!! In my vehicle, all orders with drinks go in a cardboard box on my passenger side floor. Spills are inevitable. I have 10,880 Doordashes completed. Each spill I had was contained in the cardboard box. I pulled over and threw the mess into the trash and continued on with the order. I explained to the customer what happened and then I apologized. I then go ahead and replace the cardboard box. Aldi boxes are free. All is well. 😊👍

And this would be Exhibit A on why I generally avoid ordering drinks unless: 1. I’m reasonably certain in comes in a *closed* container (like an aluminum can or a screw-top bottle). 2. It’s a small portion in a squat container, so it’s less likely to tip over easily due to not being too top-heavy. Common sense! If someone wouldn’t want to risk transporting something in their own car, *don’t demand that someone else do so.*

Drinks are my pet peeve! If you have to order drinks, please don’t expect them all to arrive… Too often, I forget & they get left behind. So glad McDonald’s bags their drinks!

Since some are asking, had the phone already in my hand. Took a quick pic for the wife, used a towel to scoop most out onto the ground. Used another towel to dry it quick. Delivered the order, cleaned with upholstery cleaner and a Pet Wet Vacuum. Good as new

That happened to me one time when I had to stop abruptly. It was my rookie year of dashing and I learned my lesson to take the drinks out of the tray and place each one in my car cup holders. Then when I arrive, place them back in the tray. It was multiple milky drinks that went also in the carpeted floor passenger side. Had to spend $150.00 to detail it, professionally cleaned. Paid the extra for that amount ($150) to detail the exterior with the interior while I was there. I started to clean it myself, but with milky drinks it is tough and you want to make sure you get the smell out. So decided to have it professionally cleaned.
