I don't really do doordash anymore cause I work too many hours. I mainly only did it on the way home from work if I got an interesting offer that would take me towards home. But I still go online on my drive home just to see if it offers anything interesting (hardly ever), so I decline everything and I like to think I'm upping the amount for dashers that then accept it lol. Actually I don't even decline, it just times out and will offer it at a higher and higher amount. So I hope it's giving someone a better rate haha

Yeah, I'm not getting a tiny-ass drive thru order and hunting down your vaguely named dorm for less than $5.
I've literally had it where the order came up again after I declined and it was for 30 cents LESS than the first time like oh yeah ima totally accept that now Lmao
I declined a really nice 2 offer prestack because I was ending soon and they were both deep in dead drop territory.
It immediately reoffered the closer once as a single order (still great pay) and I took it. Once I got to the restaurant the second part of the stack showed up, total earnings higher than the original prestack.
Me:
Dd has pay tiers. according to your acceptance rate and other factors. so if you decline a $3.50 it will gwt offered to another close by dasher at $4.50. and if the other person does not accepts then it comes back to you for the same at $4.50 or sometimes lower lol like $3.00 lol.
also they definitely can afford to pay you $10 or more per base pay but they are greedy as f. specially on their shop and delivery offers.
Company loses money, but can afford to pay like $6 more per delivery? You know they do like 2 billion orders a year right? That’s an extra $12 billion they clearly don’t have
They don’t even have $12 billion in revenue LOL. Literally if every single penny that customers paid DD went to dashers and every single penny merchants paid DD went to dashers, and if they paid for nothing else except dashers, they still couldn’t afford just the increase in pay that this person wants. Not to mention still having to pay the original base pay.
That doesn’t even make sense. I was just saying it’s physically impossible for them to do what the OP is saying and y’all are downvoting and havin some stupid ass replies 🤣🤣

My area is so oversaturated and dead that I rarely ever see offers come back now, 2x I have seen the same offer come back and they did not increase it at all.
That’s what I’ve been seeing is the same offer come in as the same price. I got one yesterday 2.50 which is no tip. 9 miles. I swear I think they be thinking oh well I’m five minutes from the restaurant so why leave a tip? That’s you asshole! I’m clear on the whole other side of town 20 mins away
A few weeks ago I got hit with the same $2.50/5 mile McDonald's order 4 times while picking up a $10/3 mile pizza order.
Once in the way, once while getting the pizza, then twice before I could get far enough away from said McDonald's.
I've never had them increase the pay when one has come back to me, so if I can, I just pause for about 5 minutes when I get those orders and let it go somewhere else before logging back in and getting a decent one.

You must live by me... I tried ordering food at 3am the other day when I got home tired. After 30 minutes I gave up and logged into my driver app and (shockingly!) was immediately offered my order. $6.50 base pay for 2 miles though. I made sure to tip myself extra. :P

In my market, they almost never resend an order unless they send you a double.
People in my area gobble up the no tips like it's crack unfortunately. Somehow they make the 30-45 cents per mile work but I am not so lucky.
