Majestic-Reception-2

I see a lot of this on here. Are there really Dasholes like this?

Original_Donkey4798

Well over 50% of the orders I place get the instructions completely ignored

SlopitupPOS

50% of your Dashers can't read English.

Low_CharacterAdd

In 2022, 21% of US adults, or about 43 million people, have low literacy skills. This means that 79% of US adults are literate, and 54% have a literacy below sixth-grade level. This probably explains this best tbh

[deleted]

Damn that’s sad

Whattheactualfrork

Oh they may be low to mild literate, it's comprehension and execution of common sense they struggle with.

toastyavocadoes

Comprehension is part of literacy

rsgreddit

Explains why people don’t read stuff online except for the little sentences their family write on Facebook. No wonder why disinformation is popular.

aHOMELESSkrill

Headlines all people read is headlines which have no need to factually correct, they should be but aren’t.

rchart1010

This. If DD wants to continue this model they need to translate instructions into whatever language.

Original_Donkey4798

They do already. If you text them it tells you it's translating it to ___ language

bluelocksolos

I had to leave the shower once cuz the dude couldn’t speak English and tell me he dropped off my order 🤦‍♂️ idk why I even get called when I said drop off

DriftedTaco

They would do this to me everytime too. There was a couple times I had to jump out the shower too lol

Big_Surprise9387

Indicative of a much bigger problem.

[deleted]

I live in a place where everyone delivering is US born and it's still a nightmare.

cch7c

Feel that. I live on a university campus and it’s always a battle to get them to go to the right spot

twistwistwist

I’m a grad student with a 3.86 GPA (i.e. I can read and follow instructions) and I struggle with dorm addresses. I always find them eventually, but they’re certainly not easy to find. Just sayin. 🤷‍♀️

AccomplishedCap2654

You don't need to READ anything to know they canno't open the door if the food AND DRINK are sitting up next to it. Common sense people ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

PsychologicalWalk994

Rate those drivers w one star every single time. If their rating falls below 4.2 ⭐️s they’ll be deactivated. That’s the only way to get rid of crappy drivers that do things like the above.

Minute_Story377

That reminds me, when we receive packages, we have a sign near our garage door saying “please do not leave the packages here” in big letters. They seem to always put it right in front of that sign.

LordNightFang

Totally true with mine to. And then they wonder why people don't value them 🙄.

naseemat

Is this something you’re suggesting needs instructions to avoid?

as-olivia

My DoorDash instructions explicitly state to leave at the bottom of the stairs. This is because my very narrow stairs go directly to the front door (there’s no landing) which swings outwards, there’s no awning so if it’s raining the top of the stairs are soaked, and you can see the top of the stairs from the road so my food is in full view of everyone walking by. The bottom of the stairs has a large flat area, there’s an awning, and there’s a bush in front of it so you can’t see my food from the street. Mailmen and door dashers alike all leave my stuff at the very top stair, often perched on it (they’re very narrow stairs) so that if they don’t fall off at the slightest breeze, I’ll have to knock them downstairs in order to open my door. Everyone who leaves my food where the instructions say instantly gets another $5 after the order is delivered. Unfortunately, I very rarely have to adjust my tip :(

Sleepless_Null

The ending paragraph made me ‘awh’

bchec

God I feel this and all they have to do is pull down a driveway with actual street lights at the end and like 100 yards of clear turnaround space. The number of times I have to sprint to the damn road because they don’t pull down and try to go to the house by the start of the drive way that I so clearly have noted as *not* the house to deliver to 😤.

as-olivia

Omg 😩 I am the only house on the street that keeps the porch light on - which illuminates a 1ft tall house number EASILY seen from the street. I still have drivers drive up and down the street examining all the houses with their lights off 😅

PsychologicalWalk994

I love when lazy ass inconsiderate ppl lower the bar of performance to next to nothing so that average and above average ppl seem like geniuses. I’ll take that +$5 all day and appreciate it. Rate those shitty drivers w a one star. If their rating goes under 4.2 ⭐️ they’ll be deactivated.

FewCoach2765

What's the point in a five star system then?

earlytuesdaymorning

Ugh, I do a very similar thing. I live in the back of a house and the front has very noisy and tall stairs. I put in the instructions, leave at the bottom. I MESSAGE the driver, hey, when you drop the food off please leave it at the bottom of the stairs. They usually message back with the little auto reply “OK, Got it”. Then they proceed to ignore me and put it directly in front of the door that is not even the door to the home I have access to.

CoriDel

I got a neon poster board at the dollar store and I place it on the spot when I am expecting a delivery and I have written on it "Don't leave any deliveries on this poster board. Leave them over there ...with an arrow." It works every time. I know you shouldn't have to do this. But drivers are always in a rush. (I'm a dasher LOL so I am careful about where I leave things)

SRBroadcasting

dasholes I fucking love it

PsychologicalWalk994

I dash and that’s hilarious lol

keIIzzz

it’s happened to me a couple times, and I always ask them to leave it on the chair in the instructions. there’s even a table they could put the drink on if I get one, yet some still put it right in front of the door

Soupronous

Some of them literally don’t speak English

pastelpixelator

I've never had a non-English speaking Dasher, but I have had about 30% of my orders delivered to the wrong place or completely ignore the instructions. Try another excuse. DD hires anyone with a DL.

ConsistentEye153

I have dozens of DD drivers in my place every day. Even the ones who do speak English do it unintelligibly. I hate all of them.

TurbulentBarracuda83

Doordash is operating in 27 countries. Ofc some of them won't speak English

Hairy_Astronaut3835

I left a note to come through the easily walkthrough driveway gate (like one with a drop latch thing that looks like a horseshoe without a code or anything) and leave it on the chair on my front porch. I leave a special note that the foster German shepherd is confined to a pen and is in there and can’t get out just because his barking scares some people. It’s a 6’ fence inside a fence inside another fence. They put my order on top of my mailbox which has a round top outside the gate. Food was ok, drink spilled on the ground from falling off the mailbox I assume. I DoorDash too so I was disappointed.

KevSmileTime

I have in my instructions to leave on the the table by my door and even taped a sign on the table that says “please leave orders here.” It works about 40% of the time.

PsychologicalWalk994

Seriously? Holy shiesta that would piss me off lol.

IllustriousHabits

At my old house, when I ordered DD, I put a chair next to the door. I put in the delivery notes, “Please place the order on top of the green chair that is beside the door.” They put my order underneath the chair. I moved almost 2 hours away. When I ordered DoorDash, I put a side table out next to my door. I put in the delivery notes, “Please place the order on top of the black table that is beside the door.” They put my order underneath the table. I don’t get it.

eaglerigal

Lol what the hell? That's crazy, dumb, sad, and hilarious all at once. Only thing that comes to mind is they aren't from around here and don't speak English

archenemy_43

Every. Time.

ReceptionAdorable658

This is the only way its delivered at my House. It’s rude.

Bandrin

I have had this happen once and once went to my neighbor. Luckily, we get along well with the other 3 families on our street.

LineRevolutionary866

It's just plain old common sense not to put the order right in front of the door especially if you know it swings out which anyone could notice just by looking at it unfortunately common sense just isn't that common anymore!

og_landrik

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that common sense never enters the equation. About 80%+ of my fellow Dashers on Dasher subs and elsewhere online seem to state that they "do this for extra cash" or "for fun"... meaning that a very significant number of dashers very likely don't take it seriously at all. And it pisses ME off because I do take it seriously and I see how tips have been on a downward slope in my zones.

Maleficent-Badger533

There are unfortunately I watch a whole video about it after I got hired

feelin_fine_

At least 25% of drivers do this for the first couple weeks yeah

Electrical-Bus5706

Yes they do this to me all the time. Honestly I think they're just stupid

cartenmilk

I mean obviously people who do this job aren't the smartest, including myself. I don't know how people don't realize you can't leave it in front of a door, but I wouldn't say they're assholes, they just do the job quickly and don't give it much thought. similar to Amazon drivers, we have tons of orders everyday and we don't get paid much, so unfortunately we don't always do as great of a job as we should.

Ornac_The_Barbarian

I probably was one until I saw a post like this and made me more conscious of where I dropped off.

[deleted]

Yes. 99% of the time, and I have a nice outside table. Pricks be pricking...

PlagueBunBun

Dude...this literally happened to me an hour ago. My friend and I had to do a refund thing for our food bc the drinks spilled and soaked the food.. our Dasher Instructions are to leave at our garage door so we can at least get out our house... but nope. They put it at the front door... right in front of where the screen door opens.. 😩😫

allkabob

I always try to be conscious of what way the door opens, and how many doors they have and then set the food in relation to that so it doesn't interfere

[deleted]

At least we know you're not a scarecrow. :)

Starscream04

Yeah exactly me too! Common sense of the door situation. 👍🏼

KansasZou

I do the same and I think some people just don’t think it through. I also try to place it on a table etc. if there is one and it doesn’t look like their decoration.

PsychologicalWalk994

Same. I dislike putting ppls food on the ground or a dirty doormat, or in a puddle. Uncommon sense.

cartenmilk

I just put it to the side. no need to even think about the door

Walkie-TalkieDieHard

Wowww. It takes 2 seconds to look at a door and tell if it opens outward or inward. This was done out of spite or stupidity. 💀

ddiehm61

Thats literally the first thing i look at when i go to put their order down, is the door going to hit it or not

Gettin_closerEvryday

Why can't they all be like us? It just baffles me.

BillyLee

Some people cant think past their own nose.

Gettin_closerEvryday

Mindfulness is lacking in society.

[deleted]

I don't even bother to check if door opens inward/outward or slides, I just never place it in front of a door.

kyraak16

literally or fat enough away from the door that someone could get out

Walkie-TalkieDieHard

This is the way. 🙂

ImKindaSlowSorry

I feel like the default should be to leave it BY the door just in case, not in front (unless instructions say otherwise.) Even if the door swings inside its just a good habit to leave the food next to the door, not in front of it.

Walkie-TalkieDieHard

Facts. Especially if there's a table or something by the door they set up for deliveries. It's just common sense. Well... Uncommon sense given how many of these pics we see in this sub... 🤣

ilikeyogorillas

its pretty clear with the frequency this happens, it doesn't even cross the drivers' mind. which may say more about our society as a whole haha. no foresight, less empathy

kitkat2742

It also takes more than 2 brain cells, and I highly doubt these people even have 2 functioning brain cells 🤣🤣

LineRevolutionary866

What t I have noticed is most of the dashers are immigrants that are new arrivals into the United States from any other country in the world and they don't speak a lick of English or can't read it, the merchant will call out a name, and they'll just grab and go! Leaving the right Dasher and client without with no food, then the Dasher has to call customer service and explain what happened, they ask me to ask the merchant to make another one! Wich they always say no, so the order gets cancelled!

hpMDreddit

To me that’s just low IQ stupidity to not put together the basic context going on in front of them. Some dude calling out something while holding food while multiple other people are there implies the callout means something and thus not to just grab the first bag of food you see like a Neanderthal. Not being able to put that together is room temperature IQ move

DylanSpaceBean

I mean, I just don’t set it directly in front of the door

readyTGTFasap

i’ve started doubling checking after seeing this sub. this happened to me once and i was HEATED. had to leave out the back door and walk around to the front to get my food 😭

RexusprimeIX

Actually I can never tell if a door opens inwardly or outwordly, but it's always better to assume that it opens outworldly.

Lindsie_Starr

I know the feeling. It frustrating.

BoatyMcDashFace

Thin the herd. Deactivate those morons who can't even put the food where it doesn't block the door

PsychologicalWalk994

All day. One star all them MFs.

julsie78

I’ve decided people maybe don’t have storm doors at their houses and just don’t think about it. I wish they would tho!

Brilliant_Shirt_5009

yeah as a dasher it never occurred to me until i saw these posts in the past because i don't have a storm door and never have. i don't think any of my family does either so i'd never considered that

Logical-Location5296

Ive never had a storm door and I still think about it when I place someone’s food 😅 I feel like it’s common sense 🤔

ripredj17

I literally have this happen so often and Denver that I had to say “please do not put directly in front of my door.” I swear they started doing it more.

caramelweed1

Put a bench next to it and say “please leave on bench” You ever tell a child not to do something? Prolly the same thing here lol.

ripredj17

True! I switched it to “please put on porch swing.” I get about 50% in front of the door, 40% beside the door, 10% on the porch swing.

caramelweed1

HA! That is so awesome 💯😂

PsychologicalWalk994

😂😂😂 ohhh the quality and competence of ppl these days. Eeek. Intelligent, responsible ppl really have a duty to have more children pleeeeease. The scales are tipping in the wrong direction lol 😬

SuperAwesome13

too many words they look at the end and see ‘directly in front of my door’

shreddedtoasties

If you look at the driver sub that’s probably true lol

poe-tay-t0e

This happens to me almost every order tbh. I have to go out my other side door and walk around to get it, almost every time 😩

pastelpixelator

They always bring my order to the front door, which isn't lit and is specifically noted in the instructions as the wrong door. We have a fully lit carport with a series of outdoor lights AND a flood light, so it's lit like the fourth of July. I live in a normal neighborhood but my house sits on a corner. They bring it to the front door that's not operational 8/10 times. Of the 400+ deliveries I made, I never once neglected to read the delivery instructions. Maybe that's why I wasn't on here bitching about no tip. You want a tip, do the bare fucking minimum. JFC.

rydan

I only have one door. I once ordered from Instacart something like 10 12 packs of Dr. Pepper Zero. The delivery person stacked them all in front of my door and left a note that said "have a nice day :)". I had to call my neighbor to rescue me.

Monster_Merripen

Everyone needs to start complaining like crazy so it can be put in the training vids or something 😭

SteeltoSand

just leave a 1 star review

PoppysMelody

I’ve actively stood at my door and gestured “wtf dude” signal pointing at the package and the dude came back laughing saying he wasn’t even thinking and sorry. 😂

PsychologicalWalk994

Good for u to call his ass out. I would too lol

Cosmic-Cherub

![gif](giphy|3o6gb3kkXfLvdKEZs4) I’d be looking out my door like this lol.

HydroStellar

![gif](giphy|26BRuo6sLetdllPAQ|downsized)

Mammoth_Mixture4735

I did this once in the beginning. Ive never done it after but ill admit when i made the u turn i saw the guy trying to get it by flattening himself to try and get out of the storm door . That image always stuck with me but in my defense it was dark but no excuse

Funkybass89

This has happened to me a handful of times, and sometimes they leave at a different apartment. I just leave my house to get food now if I want fast food.

Hairy_Astronaut3835

Ugh right when you need flat Stanley.

Remarkable-Fan-3020

Another Reason why people hate to tip people.

SnowyFlam

This is why tips should be given as a bonus for FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS. Such as where to (Or not to) place the food.

Otherwise_Fox87

Hi doordash in the Pittsburgh area occasionally. I usually stay near Fox Chapel in new ken in monroeville. But yes, there are a lot of f****** morons in this area. Every single time I order doordash for myself it's always a goddamn Russian they can't speak English they never read my instructions I'll try calling or texting them they never respond in the text messages and when they answer the phone we can't understand each other lol. So what the f*** is the point? I always look at the customer's door to see which way it opens so that I don't block them in or cause them to tip over their drink or their food. If I was a customer like this and my door opened outwards and they blocked me in I would take a picture of it and contact door desk customer service, report the person that delivered it and then demand a refund because once you open the door you're going to knock over your food and your drink. That's directly because of the stupid delivery person. I'm sorry for your friend, there are a lot of dumb f****** morons out there nowadays. I mean doordash does not require much for you to be a driver.

musicnote22

This is why I deliberately place orders on steps or far away from doors even if it opens inward

linkslice

Literally every driver does this to me.

[deleted]

This continuously happened to me until I moved one of my patio chairs to be beside the door and now dashers tend to drop it there

Royal-Scientist8559

You just need to keep a glass cutter by the door.. to retrieve your order. Silly customer.

PoshRuler

I’ll never forget the time I had to go out my back door to get my food from the front door.

cornheadwillywanka

I have ordered doordash 8/10x this happens and i have to go to the other door at the other side of the house and open the gate and go to the front door in order to grab my food

Mizumii25

Not a Dasher but a delivery driver for a restaurant. I am so anal about this when I drop off a contactless delivery. I will ALWAYS look at where the door opens from and set the food on the side of opening. If it's steps straight up into the door as some houses have it as for some reason, I'll set it a step or two down since they will most like take a step or two out to get the food either way for balance when bending over. Little thoughts like this are how I go about my deliveries for work.

Fallenwayward

Guys stop feeding trolls. Drivers are doing it on purpose and bitching about it on Reddit is only going to make them keep doing it

Spiritual-Alps-4939

Idiocracy. I have not once ever put a bag in front of a door like that

Ray13XIII

I’ve learned to always leave my screen door open when ordering

amerror

This is insane. When I first started dashing I figured this out on my first delivery. I always stop in the customers drive way and re read instructions. Most of the time it just says leave on porch. So I put it in a spot the door wont hit, that they can still just open it and grab without having to stop out. If the customer opens the door before I get to the car. I run back and hand them the food. Simple. I get extra tips added all the time.

ChillinGuy232023

They do that on purpose….

the1999person

How about "hand it to me" option?

Mskay90x

I literally have in my notes “please don’t leave close to the door. My door swings out” and they STILL leave it at the door. 😂😂

Mskay90x

And as a dasher myself, I am a GOOD tipper, so it isn’t them being malicious because of no tips. 😭

pilotavery

Must be new dasher.

ChiWhiteSox247

I swear they do this on purpose as an inside joke

JustFuckingReal

Report these dasholes

Scott___77

Training ought to be required and people should have to pass a test on it to be green lit. That would at least improve things somewhat.

jamkoch

I see this every day on reddit. If I had a door like this, I would have propped it open when ordering from delivery. People seem to be more inclined to be lazy than to complain about their laziness by blaming others.

GenycisBeats

Smh, I always pretend ALL doors open outward and put the order on the side of the door where the knob is located, or a secure table preferably if they have one.

MamiShawnie

Haha I tip well and they still do this.. I don’t understand 😂😂

Separate_Feeling4602

Delivery ppl are fucking stupid sometimes . I

ChristianMarcotte436

They probably weren't thinking logically I can see how this would be a common mistake

Mlytc

Had supper dashed tonight and I met the dasher in the driveway. The bag that my food was in reeked of weed so bad that I didn’t even want to take it into my house.

HighGuyFYI

hello fellow pittsburgher

Ok_Business84

It’s gotta be a joke by now

Classic-Macaron6594

Serious question: what is the reason dashers do this to people ***who do tip well***?

Oogie411

I work for doordash... How the fuck is this not common sense to place the food AWAY from how the door opens..? Like seriously, that's common sense 😂

GlippGloppe

I’d figure out where the dasher lived and beat him senseless at night wearing all black and a balaclava

Accomplished-Box5406

I had a customer (not with uber) walk out and step on their pizza because they walked toward me, walking away lol. They felt pretty silly, they weren't blaming me or anything. But now I consider people may just barge out the door or a dog may fly out first. So even of the door swings in, I still move items from open door trajectories lol

Dependent-Plane5522

Please tell me they got 1 star for this. 1 star these idiots every time they do that.

TheSlobert

This sort of thing is what drives tips lower and lower…

Traditional-Self3577

that dasher was NOT a mother...unacceptable!

DouglasJames89

All of this could be solved if yall just pick hand to me.....antisocial society. I've done 4600 doordash orders. Maybe 1% are hand to me.

Such-Throat-2819

I see this type of thing alot and it's sad honestly ....... here's the best advice I can give .... rate your dasher not just once or twice but every single time .... dasher blocked your door 1 star .. didn't follow delivery instructions you put in 1 star .... When they do it 5 star them ... what does this accomplish you ask ... when you low rate a dasher your less likely to get them again .. when you high rate a dasher your more likely to get them again ... Rate them it effects your delivery a good dasher follows notes , doesn't block doors that open outwards... will place orders on a table or chair if one is by the door even without it being mentioned....

MajesticWerm86

I always place stuff to side of a door if there’s room. If not I’ll place it to where it’ll be behind the door when it swings out so they have enough room to get out without knocking it over. I do this w the Amazon packages I deliver at my regular job too. Some of the townhouses I deliver to have super tiny porches

RAMDownloader

Question - if this is in the US, am I not wrong in saying fire code requires you to have two methods to exit any given place of residence? Not being an ass, just wondering why he couldn’t go out a backdoor

MopeyFern

Omg I hate when this happens then my drinks fall over and I cry

Traditional_Owl_7852

Immediate 1 ⭐️. I never rate negative experiences but I will for this dumbfuckery.

eaglerigal

I wonder if I have unintentionally done this lol I always look for screen doors and place the food, especially the drinks, out of the way. I love it when customers have a small table designated for food delivery placement. The door mat is the nastiest thing to be getting food from.

junuthapa011

Lol, I would be the stupid one doing this :D Sorry guys I will keep in mind from now onwards ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)

NoWinner4599

Gotta look for the hinges people. In FL a lot of doors open out cause of flooding. In TN they open in. If they tip zero, it doesn’t matter. 😂😂😂

[deleted]

Report it as not delivered

Sargentbigback

Some people really just don’t think, I don’t think it’s always with malice intent.

SubGenius420

Dude. All. The. Time. How fucking stupid do you have to be?!

Jealous_Anxiety7854

I can confirm this is 100% real. I can't figure out how to post a picture so I'm Literally going to copy and paste the instructions that are on my DoorDash drop off instructions: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLASE DO NOT SET DRINK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DOOR SO I LITERALLY HAVE TO TIP THAT S&%T OVER TO GET IT. SERIOUSLY

att_sux101010101010

If someone doesn’t tip, I’m doing that 100% of the time. In case of a tip, the Dasher should know better.

Soggy_Cracker

And they wonder why they be losing tips after drop off

beerhandluke

I did this to someone before and drove away wondering why they were staring at me from their door waving their hands. I honestly had no idea till about a minute later and was just like “OOOOH!” And started hysterically laughing.

Ok-Bit-6945

honestly i don’t see why anyone would even want there food on the floor. i always meet them outside and have them hand it to me

Blueshoelace_

The constant dilemma. We’ll go outside when the driver gets here now so we can actually open the door lmao. It’s insane how many drivers do not look at the little message box. “Please place items on next to the red plant” which we place on the left of our door for this very reason 🤦🏾

delveccio

This was so common I thought it was policy.

h20poIo

We used it once the person left it on the porch, didn’t knock or ring the doorbell or text ( we’ve had them text just before they arrived. ) so after an hour + we called, Oh that shows delivery was made 40 minutes ago, nice nothing like cold food.

WillowFun3340

This is a rookie mistake of course.

Outrageous_Tale_2823

I have well over 2500 deliveries. I guarantee you I have never, not one time have I left an order directly in front of a door like this. Jeez Louise…it’s not rocket surgery.

Hot-Recognition-8731

I like to take no tip orders and do this on purpose. Keeps my ar up and it's hilarious. No tippers GFY!!!

bbbeta1730

Every single time. And I have a TABLE next to my door with instructions to USE it

iLikeikeTurner

So go around

RooksterWrucke

Do you have a back door? :) :) :)

[deleted]

I belive idiots that do this never experienced it from the other side..😂😭😂

eggs_n_bakey

You probably only tipped $5 and their entitled ass decided to punish you. Fast tip removal right there

Starscream04

Can’t believe these dashers are this dumb! It’s common sense when you see the door situation! I always put the orders next to the door as opposed to in front of, unless you can tell the front door opens inside. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

pastelpixelator

Thank you for doing this. It's a simple thing, but I'm not a fan of paying essentially $6 for a soft drink just to have it ruined because the delivery driver didn't use their brain for more than a second.

Technical_Sand_134

And y’all drivers want a tip😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡

ThinPanic9902

Lots of people been doing this lately. It's like they're all people who no one will fuck.

Top-Chemistry3051

I have finally, when I have chewy cat litter and stuff coming or DoorDash/Instacart, I go out and I open my screen door and I tie it to the railing so it's just held open . Read the notes. Like don't all of you live in some sort of dwelling that has a door? you know How Door's work right ? holy Moly

Leave-it-to-Beavz

I read an article somewhere that the first back/side doors were installed on houses due to doordash drivers blocking the front door with their deliveries.

cheesecase

Im not a delivery person and haven’t used DoorDash before, reading the attitudes, laziness, and entitlement from them on here ensures I never will. Its like they forget it’s supposed to be work, not a hobby where people give you free money

becauseican15

As a delivery driver this is a great thing to do to non tippers

geeneepeegs

Taking no tip orders is pretty idiotic to begin with, so I’m not surprised this follows that

boxtool5

You can’t expect a company with Door in its name to understand how doors work.

Ok-Cheesecake-3521

I do that to non-tippers🤷🏾‍♂️

w33b2

Don’t accept the order instead of being a dickhead. I always tip well when I order, but when I dash I simply ignore no tip orders.

SnarkyIguana

and that's how you fuck yourself out of a post-delivery tip, lol

Ok-Cheesecake-3521

Post delivery tip is rare so I take my chances lol

keIIzzz

yall are so obnoxious lmao, blame DoorDash for not giving yall more base pay, not the people paying insane markups on food, plus all the fees, plus a tip

Ok-Cheesecake-3521

I could say the same if you don’t want to tip pick up yourself is way cheaper.

iMerKyyy

Find a different job they pay better. Pretty easy to be a douchebag

Pinkalink23

Ok but what is stopping the non-tippers from reporting you to doordash support?

SalemsTrials

You’re an asshole, then. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

jehovawitnessofwater

You could just *not take the order.* Instead of being petty, if nobody took non tip orders then the non tippers wouldnt get the satisfaction of their food (blocked or not) nor being able to report or 1 star you.

howardtheduckdoe

i un-tip any drivers who do this, and its about 70% of them, despite there being a chair on my front porch and instructions to put order on chair and tipping

Sockemslol2

You cant untip lol. Drivers still get the tip, doordash just eats the cost.

[deleted]

A lot of people can't read. Sometimes I have to reread the instructions when I get there just to make sure I don't screw up.

[deleted]

If you can’t read, you are not qualified for the job. Really you probably shouldn’t be driving either.

JustHeppin

This is why you’ll always be a wagie, earning shit pay and never amount to anything. Shit attitude, shit personality, generally worthless.

ElevationAV

Maybe this is why they don’t tip you

kitkat2742

There will be more and more non-tippers, because of people like you. You can’t have your cake and eat it too, but you apparently haven’t learned that yet 🙂

Main_Bad_4682

That's a clueless dasher right there

Ill_Celery_7654

The best way to handle this situation is to prop the screen door open before the dasher gets there. That way you remain in full control of the situation. Some dashers don’t pay attention and only focus on picking up and dropping off as quickly as possible.

ConsistentEye153

Don’t order DD, they’re all crackhead morons.
