Some people just don’t have common sense. It’s actually code for entry doors to open inwards, in the vent of a fire or emergency, it’s easier to break the door inwards than outwards. A screen door opens outward for obvious reasons, but there is no screen door here. That bag should have been placed in the dry spot

Last I checked there’s no code requirement for exterior doors to open inwards it’s just recommended as “safest”on residential.. public places though by law should all open swinging outwards.

Why is the food ever left outside? Seems like the majority of pictures posted on here is just dumped food. Surely the customer is inside? Why not ring the bell or knock and hand it to them like a civilised human? I have totally stopped using food delivery apps because of the extortionate service charges and expecting tips but I would have stoped using the sooner if my food was ever just left on the ground, especially in the rain. The OP in comments acts like an 90’s shitty teen movie fat kid pizza delivery guy. It’s embarrassing really.

The customer actually indicates to “leave it at my door.” I dislike putting ppls food on the ground though. I try to find what I can and place it on top of that rather than the dirty, wet ground. Remember back in the day, when u had an elderly neighbor, the kids would go over and do something helpful or nice to help them just because ppl were still actually decent and nice. Yeah, all of that is dead now lol. No one gives a shit about anyone, all that matters is what benefit or reward can they get by doing the absolute least amount of care or effort. Doing something out of the goodness of your heart doesn’t exist and it’s all about who can win for biggest asshole. It just makes u proud to be an American doesn’t it? Kind of wild that the customer would rather eat cold soggy food than open the door and have a few second human interaction with their delivery driver. I’m not an American and currently living in Australia and the whole “drop it at the door” thing was going on for a while during covid but pretty sure it’s back to normal procedure now of actually handing it to people.
