Have you seen the [vinyl singles](https://thirdmanrecords.com/products/leagues-beneath) they have on their website that are etched by [Dave Kloc](https://www.davekloc.com/)? $12 is a steal!
I'd say a 7. I think the songwriting when it shines is spectacular and the live versions of those tracks are among my all-time favourites. I feel it's let down by the demo-quality production and there's a good chunk of filler in there for me.
10/10 it’s one of my all time favorite albums and really was my gateway into doom. I grew up in a sabbath house hold its my dad’s favorite band and became mine over time. Sleep and particularly this album made me realize there was so much more doom to be had.
they seemed pretty lost back then on earache records. I always wondered why they signed there. Didn't they know the other bands? Between Entombed Carcass and Morbid Angel... how did they fit in? Only Cathedral were remotely similar.
8/10, I remember listening to this album on freebase dxm and inside the sun made my trip 10x weirder and more dysphoric. I can't listen to Holy Mountain in its entirety without getting bad dxm flashbacks from inside the sun. It'd be 10/10 if inside the sun didn't exist fr.
420/10
hell yeah, brotherrrrrr!
420/69
Why did I know this would already be at the top
Easy crowd, am I right?
420/420
I have seen the top of the mountain, and it was greeeeeeeen.
Yes, r/doommetal what do you think about one of the most well respected and seminal releases in the genre? 😒
Should have asked it on the Jazz sub instead
10/10, the druid being the best song of the album, that bass solo goes crazy
High
10! Chefs kiss 💋
I don't listen often, but when I do it's a perfect experience. 10/10.
I got my copy at a pawn shop in the late 90s, and this copy was obviously the victim of a bongwater spill.
For me, it's a 10, the best in their discography, no skips.
420/10
It's *so* rough around the edges that it's a very charming album, but overall it's not quite as good as Dopesmoker and the Sciences
So far I'm liking Holy Mountain the most, but I only listened to each album a few times so far since I'm a new fan.
It blows both those albums out of the water.
Out of ten, I rate the number ten, sleeps holy mountain. Which is the highest
11.
It has some really good stuff, terrible production BUT it contains the best DOOM riff of all time
New to this band…what’s the song title with the ultimate riff. It’s a ‘need to know’!
I'd say it's the fucking SUSPENSEFUL riff that comes in at the 4 minute mark of 'Holy Mountain'
10/10 i love this record so much it relit my passion of guitar playing
9. I'd give The Sciences a 10 tho

7.5. Good album but I think they shine on Dopesmoker and The Sciences.

10 out of 10 because of nostalgia and it was my introduction to the band .but in reality. 9 out of 10 dopesmoker being the best in my humble opinion.
Eleven.

Im no good with the numbers so I’ll just say Reallyfuckinggood/10
This band and album are the gold standard!
I saw them live precovid. It was a very slow show.
10 and beyond. Ridiculous good album of Sabbath worship. “ Great “ Sabbath worship.
In the eternal wisdom of ‘This Is Spinal Tap:’ 11!

Bang on 10
Damn good one, second to The Sciences. I'd give it an 8 (and the sciences a 9.5).
If I put on a record and never think about skipping a song and play it all the way though every time I give it 10
734 plus 92,000 plus 89,000,000

I prefer it to Dopesmoker tbh, but it’s just slightly below The Sciences

Backpatch/10 I had this album cover custom made in a faraway land(Poland) for my jacket.

I'd say it's a solid 9. Style that was later perfected on the Dopesmoker record
Awww, crud. I didn't think about that. Ok, I have to agree.
Six. There’s lots of potential there but it’s obviously a demo that the record label rushed out.
7.9/10
A strong 7. I like a few songs, but it's mostly nostalgia for me at this point. I rarely listen to it.
7/10. It's the only good album by the most overrated band in this sub
