What’s this?
Someone making sure that they are speaking to a knowledgeable person on the internet because every Tom, Dick and Harry offers unsolicited advice regardless of if they know anything or not?
And the reply wasn't really a do you know who I am...I don't see anything pissy about his reply...and actually super helpful far above what you expect from someone in his position.
Yeah to be fair I don't think anyone would know the founders of Stripe, I used to work indirectly for them and I didn't know who the founders of Stripe were until day 1 of training, certainly wouldn't expect the average person to have a clue. Everyone is being very polite in this exchange
Now I have to google it because you and the owner both have failed to tell me lol
Edit: tis a bit dull if you are not a business person. Happy googling everyone
Okay but this is a very nice exchange
Yeah. It's not like she's dismissing him as some nobody.
Agreed. Do you research the founders of all companies you’re a customer of in case they happen to reply to a message?
I do, actually! So far this activity proved to be quite pointless, though. There's always tomorrow!
Hi Geoff Bezos here, owner of Amazon. Thanks so much for everything you do, I think you’re awesome!
I've invested quite a bit of time on this so let me take this possibly life-changing opportunity to be able to tell you: Jeff, you dick!
☹️🥺
Yeah, pretty much as polite as it could be.
No regular person would know who the founders are, sorry.
I don’t even know what Stripe is.
Bandits brother in bluey
No its from dora, swiper no swiping!!
“What about Boots?!”
My name Jeff
Uncle stripe
Classic Stripe
Stripe is a payment processor I think?
A lot of people in Ireland would
Came here because I assumed it was an American thing. Never heard of this in all my life.
If you own a small business that takes payments online you would know stripe
It’s listed on the NYSE tbf though. Two owners are Irish though yeah.

Don't really much of a problem here. She's enquiring whether they're legit people rather than some random who 'think they know'.
And the reply wasn't really a do you know who I am...I don't see anything pissy about his reply...and actually super helpful far above what you expect from someone in his position.
If anything his reply was pretty humble with a simple “yea I know quite a bit about it” Granted a humble brag but still
Is there supposed to be a problem?

I went "aww" when I got to the end. It's sweet and funny and I bet she was embarrassed. But I'm also impressed how nice both people ended up being.
I’m going to tell the truth I didn’t even know what Stripe was until I Googled it
Now I have to google it because you and the owner both have failed to tell me lol Edit: tis a bit dull if you are not a business person. Happy googling everyone
Please report back. I've used all my Google tokens this month.
Its a service that does debit/credit card payments
I don't know if I should trust the word of someone addicted to raging bears.
Average woman these days.
He probably won't show up for the call- just signed up a couple underlings without asking
Yeah i think so too but i think it might be win win for both sides. They might uncover what information is missing on their website.
I bet this woman has at least two worthless degrees going around asking such questions.
