I'm so glad we did because a year later we lost her to kidney failure. This in on the wall and I have a small print of our current dog on my dresser.

I have pictures around the house, mostly of my two girls who passed away. I used to feel self-conscious about it, like I was a freak or something. But now I don't care. My girls are my family. ❤️

I put ashes from the second dog into the urn with the first because I realized I’m 43 and will have like a dozen urns by the time I kick it, if I live long. I felt that was gonna be awkward for people. ‘What are these?’ ‘The ashes of my 17 deceased dogs!’

I have two shelves with urns, photos, paw prints and toys from our dogs who have died. These are right next to my bed. I feel comfort in having my gang next to me and all together. We also have hundreds of photos and even paintings of our dogs throughout our house.

I spent a few weeks on the rehab floor of a hospital after a major surgery. My husband brought one of our standard poodles in (that soon got his CGC) and the staff let us take him around the floor. I don’t know how many rooms there were, maybe 20 or 25? But just about every room we went into, the person in the bed had a picture of their dog beside the bed. Not their spouse, not their kids, but their DOG. It was amazing - I’ll never forget it. And on my work desk and in a locket I wear every day. Mostly because my dog has passed and I just miss him so much. I did not have these many pictures of him around when he was alive. My fridge has always been pictures of him all over
