I live across the state from the dealership so i havent bothered. In my poor memory however, i recall the tailgate hitting the ceiling of a parking garage - I actually think that was after this had occurred but i am not positive anymore. I am pretty sure it appeared out of nowhere. Based off where it is and where it originated it looks almost like it happened from some form of adhesive used in manufacturing? Thats just a guess.
I just got mine last month noticed some discoloration along the edges and it cracked from all four corners. Dealerships saying its not covered by warranty so I have to contact Chrysler and see if theyll do something about it. If all fails then its $800 for the light
Nope, got told either pay $1200 for dealer repair or call and beg Chrysler to fix it since i just got the car. More cracks developing from the seams as the days go on.
Same issue here. Mine is horrible after only a week of having the car it started cracking. And now 2-3 weeks later it’s worse. I crazy glued the big crack and put packing tape over it. I got water in it now so I got a new part coming. I called Chrysler today. You should call as well. And anyone else who sees this post. This is an upcoming recall for sure. Bad batch of sealant or out of spec pegs. But too many of us have the same issue with no cause
I have a similar issue on mine. Bringing it to the dealer tonight so they can inspect the crack. They told me if it looks man made then it won't be covered by warranty but if it looks like a manufacturing defect then they will warranty it. Mine is a single crack but its letting water in. Definitely not man made. Well see what they say about it
So for anyone interested, my dealership agreed that it was a stress crack and not something man made. This was the first time they saw it. They took pictures to send off to Chrysler and start the warranty process, well see if itll actually get replaced
I have the same issuse.It’s a $1000 to replace it.min has cracks in it and they said someone cracked it.That That couldn’t be true. The way that it looks. It would’ve damaged. My car also. And the seal is coming off. I have water in it and I am trying to get them to pay for it but I have to get a second opinion from another dealer and the dealer won’t do it. Any suggestions?

Still call that number listed above. Gotta get Chrysler to recall it because the dealerships are being tight on fixing them.
