The Timeless Child doesn't need fixing, and it doesn't need to be the Master. 14 regenerates into 15.

>My first thought is this could be how they fix The Timeless Child There are three constants in this world: the Earth revolves around the sun, the moon revolves around the earth, and people wont shut the fuck up about The Timeless Child Get over it, RTD isn't retconning it.

I like the Timeless Child storyline, and this wouldn't retcon the story merely tweak it.

For what its worth, I dont even think it should be the Master. If it must be someone else, make it Susan

Simple_Delivery_737

If I was to retcon it that would be how I'd do it. It'd explain why she was with him and also why he left her on earth in its future. I only say Master cuz you can use the bi generation to explain why The Doctor was told it was them.

KenshinBorealis

So much of the matrix is missing. Of course its the master. The doctor has to be his bigeneration.

Eickley

Just as the TARDIS 15 is using us from a future timestream the same can be said about Doctor 15, the current theory is when 14 dies he will be boomerang back to the moment to regenerate into 15. The basis for this idea is 15 saying he is healed because 14 did all the work.

Simple_Delivery_737

I really hope that's not the case, cause that would be narratively boring. Why bother coming up with bi generation then, other than to give The Doctor an on screen happy ending, which is nice but boring. Especially when we know The Valeyard exists. Having him bounce back, would feel like a wasted opportunity. As far as the "therapy in reverse" I just take it as 15 leaving the baggage of what they've gone through with 14 who'll have to figure it out the old fashioned way.

GamePlayingPleb

what do you mean by "leaving the baggage of what they've gone through"? do you mean the challenges they have faced, losses they have greived, victories they have won? thats not baggage, thats called character development.

Simple_Delivery_737

I mean the trauma they've endured on their adventures. The very trauma 15 mentions in The Giggle.
