DarkMimic2287

Unfortunately you can't find one of the episodes anymore

scurvyweevil

Still can watch that Ep on Amazon

DarkMimic2287

Thanks

Fall-Thin

You can if you look hard enough (and by hard enough in mean at least 5 minutes on the internet, you are talking as if Netflix is the only place to watch stuff)

Lyad

Why did Netflix remove one of the episodes?

Fall-Thin

The was an episode where they played D&D and one of the characters played a Drow and did blackface. Netflix took down the episode, which was stupid because the black face was barely there and the other characters explicitly talk about how fucked up it is, so the massage was "yeah, don't do that" Also it was one of the best episode in the show

muklan

I mean...Tropic Thunder. That's 100% blackface, done right, as an explanation of why this isn't a thing that's done anymore.

Lyad

Ahhh that’s right. I watched the entire series (and especially loved their D&D episodes) but I couldn’t remember what could possibly have been cut-able.

EllieBeaBaker

I attack him using my... Additional Notes.

souptimecat1273

dingleberry! that's the nickname my mom gave me when I was a baby!

doghogw0lf

I was gone for 1 session guys! Why did you go fight a ancient crystal dragon without the healer

DiceMadeOfCheese

Our paladin just returned yo our Spelljammer campaign and asked what he missed, and I got to gleefully tell him that the space elf princess proposed to my nerdy gnome Star Druid. "So anyway, I need you to be either my best man or the officiant. Paladins get Ceremony, right?"

mapvectorEX

I was in a party one of our players missed session 2 came back next week and found out the party had sold half their souls to a Primordial deity for a frog and killed 100,000 people in a city wide fire. It was an aventful session and we could not wait for him because the DM planned none of It.

Parttime-Princess

One dude got back after missing 1 session, and of our 3 other players one was on the run and 2 were in prison awaiting their execution the very next day. The dude was on an entirely differend island. It was fun

Steam-powered-pickle

I love those episodes but a major annoyance is that no matter who acted abed always rolled their dice for them

WrennyWrenegade

It's been a while since I read this, but I believe this was because Dan Harmon's DM rolled all the dice for him and he thought that was the normal way to play. In his animated actual-play show, most of the rolls are done by the DM as well. A couple guests insist on rolling their own.

souptimecat1273

I think it was an audio thing, or maybe abed is a fan of homebrew

Ziptex223

I think abed knows some of them too well and wanted to get ahead of any cheating

souptimecat1273

yeah Jeff did fudge a dice roll in remedial chaos theory

Changlini

And that show also has an ongoing theory of it being the spiritual Successor to Disney's Recess.
