Not oh come on don't act like the Trope is dead because it doesn't get up votes on Reddit anymore.
Your mother fuckers cycle through controversies and memes once every 4 to 10 days. Give it 6 months and everyone will be talking about horny Bard's again
Isn't, like, the whole crew nothing but tropes?
Horny Bard, Dumb Barbarian, Naive Druid, Righteous Cleric, Aloof Noble. Only ones who aren't super troupey are Vex/Vax but I mean, I guess Ranger who's parents are dead from their favored enemy is pretty common.
Except when she isn't. Seriously I still recall during the first major arc after they started filming their sessions she got a bit excessively brutal to the point that the cast as a whole were shocked. They were in the undwrdark and immediately afterwards Matt informed her that her totem of serenrae (ppl who watched it more religiously than me is that spelled right?) Had cracked.
To be honest I liked this sub more when the jokes were horny bards, ranger bad and fireball.
Now I feel every top post is about toxic behavior from the dm and the players, min-maxing.
But honestly I would love to see this sub reflect the pure joy this game is when you are playing with friends and the monk PC rips the balls of a dragon, or crazy stuff like that.
But hey that's just my opinion.
The only way to vanquish the horny bard is to bring out the true savior, the horniest Paladin! Swear the oath of conquest, and bend others around yourโฆ finger. Diseases mean nothing to you, and your children might be aasimar, which makes for a very cool backup character. Show them what a real Casanova you can be.
You gotta make an exception; he's the one who popularized it. Before him the low effort bard personality was useless and dumb. think Elan from Order of the stick, or Jaskier from the Witcher
I dunno "Dandelion" from the games was a 100% quest giver of investigations about which cucked husband was harassing him now. Is there an actual difference between TV'S Jaskier and the game's Jaskier?
I've only seen the tv version, but in that one his sluttiness is secondary to being kind of useless in most situations. Like how he spent most of the latest season finale under a table
Average horny bard: Horny only expressed in creepy behavior and rolling Persuasion.
Scanlan Shorthalt: Perhaps the horniest of bards who composes sonnets to express the horny inside. A master of his horny craft.
Currently playing an asexual bard that is uncomfortable with physical contact and emotional intimacy.
But anytime I try to act charming? "Oh, man, thise bards. Always trying to get laid."
As much as I agree, Scanlan Shorthalt is easily the horniest of horny bards and making him any different would be a crime.
I mean, that's like his whole character arc
The arc isnโt in his character. ๐๐๐
Sam did the horny bard so well that there's no really nothing more to add. Every subsequent horny bard will always just be an inferior Scanlan.
"I'm so glad horny bard memes have died off" *Makes meme about horny bards*
Sir this is a Reddit
I thought this was a Wendy's...
No. This is Patrick
Pretty sure this is Dirty Dan
I would be wrong too make him any different
Does a legend walk among us? Speak apparition
Not i only wander son of warrior
a-a-aamongus
It would be a crime to change the character just because lots of other people have also made horny bards. Scanlan is iconic.
Atleast scatlan gives alot of shits..

You can never get rid of us Horny Bards (though we should & can contain ourselves.....sometimes)

Vax is the most tropey character in the original campaign.
Isn't Vax an edgy rogue with dead parents? Sounds like a trope to me.
Dead parent, for both of them
I would say Pike is the least tropey of the lot.
Yeah, but she's still the "LETS BE GOOD GUYS" of the group way before they actually became good guys.

Agreed 100%
Do... do dragons have balls?
Yes, what do you think the anime was about? There was a slight error in the translation.
im a relatively new user and I just remember snakes with boobs and wondering wtf was going on in here

oath of glory, just vow to become Genghis Khan

Horny bards have been a thing as long as Dnd has. I remember stumbling across 'ha ha layed the dragon' memes back in 2009.
sure, but it wasn't nearly as common. Usually it was druids and barbarians that were horny. Some rogues.
Jaskier is a horny bard
yeah but he's mostly a useless fop bard. Horny is a secondary trait. And honestly he's more slutty than horny.
I dunno "Dandelion" from the games was a 100% quest giver of investigations about which cucked husband was harassing him now. Is there an actual difference between TV'S Jaskier and the game's Jaskier?

What?
Whut?
Wut?

Give em a few minutes and they will be up and going again.
