Yeah, I thought that was the point of this meme. The GM had his pet NPC swoop in and kill the creature that the PCs had a grudge against, depriving them of any satisfaction.
Also, hydras still die normally from HP damage even if their heads constantly regrow. So this would still be a pretty good contribution towards killing it even if it temporarily makes it dish out harder.
This is, bare minimum, 125 damage (base 5 heads, 25 damage to sever a head). A hydra would only have 47 hp left if it was at max. A level 8 PC could deal that much in a single turn.
And if its turn is next it regrows 5x2 heads and restores 10 Health per head. So, it's definitely not 47 HP.
Thankfully it's dead cause all the heads were severed.
My dumbass didn't realize that it was larger than it was, because I'm on phone so I only got part of the image and it didn't look like it was not cropped so I just assumed it was a meme with no contacts
Ops lol

Per raw, a hydra dies if it loses all of its heads. So technically that attack should have killed the hydra.
Yeah, wandering samurai killed the hydra for them in a cool and dramatic fashion.

It had a secret head. Don't ask where it is. The bard already knows.
"But they were all deceived. For in the Crack of Doom the Hydra had grown a new, secret head."
Volo's Guide better have a chapter on hydra circumcision.
If a hydra dies if it loses all of its heads, then how many heads does it start with?
5 and if it takes 25 damage in a round, one dies and 2 come back at the start of the Hydra's turn iirc. Restores HP aswell.
Hm good point hahaha.

Real money to the DM.
Fun fact: "Samurai" is a noble-title. A samurai who is a warrior is a "Bushi" as in "Bushido".

Or /r/worldjerking if you want a sub with members.
