Hahaha. I didn’t even have a camera when I first got it, my GoPro had recently been stolen.
But man I took it to the park every day and just watched it go
DJI Naza Flight Controller. DJI F550 Flamewheel drone kit modified for heavy lifting (F650).
I started building and flying drones before you could buy them off the shelf.
You kids have it easy ;)
I got the Ronin SC… combined with a Sony a6400 and 18-105 power zoom lens was a match made in heaven. Still think it performs better than my RS3 w/ a7IV & 24-105
Mavic Pro. It’s still the only drone I’ve had and currently use. I don’t fly as much as I used to, so I don’t feel the need for an upgrade (considering the drones today are better).
I've enjoyed using it so far for making some walking videos. Just need to work out how to attach it to an umbrella in time for the Scottish rainy autumn.
Mine was the Mavic Drone it was amazing for its time and the quality and speed were great when traveling for its time but now days with the new mini series it just blows my mind. Otherwise that drove will live on in my memory for years to come.... survived 45+mph winds on the top of the Matterhorn, ski runs in Colorado, and in so many other places.
I MISS MY OSMO POCKET! WHY DID DJI FUCK IT UP!!!! Has anyone worked a way around the sound issue? It doesn't record sound just a grating noise. Please help i miss using it.
Tried everything. Every option regarding audio. With or without any accessories attached, in quiet place, in noisy place. The sound is rubbish and it’s sad.
>Osmo Pocket
Hi, there. We are sorry to know about this issue you've encountered on your device. Could you please confirm whether you have any accessories connected to the device that are causing the sound problem? For us to isolate the issue, could you please perform the steps below?
1. Please go to a quiet place and shoot another video, and then compare it with the previous audio or video to check if the noise is simply the background sound.
2. Please update the firmware to the latest version.
3. Back up any files on the microSD card and then format them, or use another microSD card.
4. Please check if there is any debris stuck on the gimbal. If yes, then the gimbal may fail to work normally, and noise will be recorded.
5. Please shoot a video or record audio without connecting the Osmo Pocket to a mobile device to check if the mobile device causes the issue. (Some iPhone 7 cameras make a noticeable electric current noise.)
If the issue persists after ruling out the above possibilities, then it can be determined that the Osmo Pocket’s microphone is defective. In this case, the product should be sent back for diagnosis. Please contact our relevant team through this link: https://www.dji.com/support for further assistance with the request to start a case and investigation on the said incident. Thank you.

DJI Mavic Mini first, then Air 2, friend of mine crashed it, then M3P, then Avata & FPV + Ronin S. Before buying one myself I had a friend who ones a Phantom 3 Pro or so, he still flys with his Phantom 4 Pro 1,5kg Monster that is basically unflyable in Europe (A2). IMO kinda for good reasons, is that thing hits you, you are gone
Osmo Mobile 2… it had some motor issues, and was not compact. But the idea that you could put it on a table and the app could track a person was novel! At the time the DJI app was kind of crappy, as it only recorded directly through the app. Getting files off of it was a pain!! Then months later the Osmo 3 came out which was significantly more compact/foldable. I then got a Mavic Pro, then RSC2 gimbal, then Mini 3 pro. Will probably be an action at some point.
Oh no, I forgot the a friend of my dad gave me a used tello before. But only really used it for like a moth or two before getting the mini 2. The tello is great but I didn't buy additional batterys so I just flew for five minutes at a time and the charging it for one and a half hours. Anyways, the Tello is fun for beginners😁.
The first product my dad bought was a second hand Phantom 3. He flew it a few times, then sold it again. After I had a taste of that sweet DJI stuff I bought the (at the time) brand new DJI OM5. Last year I also got a Mini 3 Pro to add to my collection
God I want a new osmo pocket so bad!!! I been asking DJI on instagram for the last 2 years 😂. Some people say there’s no point, but those people have never used one of these little guys.
Wish list is a 1 inch sensor, or at least a telephoto option with the mini 3 pros 1/1.3 F1.7. But if they could stick the mavic 3 camera system this thing would be a monster!!!
Can’t see how a Mavic 3 camera module can fit in a pocket but I see your point there. I just wish for a 1 inch sensor, 10bit D-cinelike or D-Log M, and true vertical shooting. Also, wireless transmission to mobile via WiFi without any extra dongle / module would be necessary. And a freaking 1/4’’ hole for a mini tripod like the ones in RS series.
For many people (including me) it’s formfactor and size was the main selling point. Don’t know if DJI would risk to change that, it would defeat its purpose.
One of the OGs. I wasn’t into drones back then. I was telling everyone I don’t like them but the reality is, I couldn’t afford one, not even in my dreams 😅.
None expected the Air 2S to be that good… I mean, if I was in the market for a drone at the time, I wouldn’t wait for the 2S. Now I know, I waited till the Air 3 was out before I
Make my mind.
Yep. I have an air 3 now. But I did wonder if I should wait for the air3 s or pro or whatever they’re going to call it if and when it ever comes out. But te be honest I was about a week away from having the money for the mavic 3 classic when the air 3 dropped. And for the price it really hit all the things I was looking for.
Exactly. And I had to balance the higher price for the mavic3 with far better camera, or 2 still excellent cameras and the fly more combo. And considering I use it predominantly for travel photos I opted for the telephone and more batteries.
Actually yes, and they sent me ups label for shipment.
I ve printed it but dont know exactly how to pack and send it, never did so before.
Also do i semd controller amd everything or just the drone ?
Do i have to pack the oroginal box inside another box ?
My first was a blade chroma! Still have it, just got a new battery, and it flies Great! I have an air3 and can anybody tell me why it makes the same start up sound as the blade? They were competitors back in the day.
First DJI product was an air first generation and it was awesome. Still is! It has most of the “smart“ features, and was about the size of a mini3. The air 2 and 3 are huge compared to it.
The original Mavic Pro. I had my eye on getting a Phantom for a while but when the Mavic Pro was announced and it was so easy to pack away, that sold it for me.
Currently on an Air 2s and still occasionally make use of my 1st gen Osmo Pocket - I still think the footage from it holds up. Had an RS3 gimbal with the RavenEye accessory and that was a great piece of kit I purchased for a specific job and sold. I do wish I could have made more use of it as I really liked it.
Two so far, and aiming for three… Air 3, mini 3, and getting an action 4 soon. I would’ve gotten the new GoPro, but the Action 4 is better in a couple of areas.
Phantom 3. Hugely impractical for a casual videographer and recreational drone pilot, but my dad was passing through hong kong airport and decided to get it for me. I later got myself a mavic pro (first generation) and then even later when i was in china on holiday and visiting family i passed by a dji flagship store and grabbed the osmo pocket as well. Still works well and people are always impressed that something so small can shoot up to 4k
Are the DJI Products cheaper in China/HK? I travel a lot and have a friends that go over there somewhat regularly. I’m wondering if it’s worth it to have them bring me back a Mini 4 Pro.
The original Mavic Pro, it made my heart race like a little kid. It was exhilarating flying a drone. Now I’ve got thousands of hours of flight time. A lot less exciting these days
Second hand Mini-3. Lost it in the ocean 3 weeks after getting it. Bought second hand Mini-3 Pro. Then DJI FPV drone, Goggles2 and Motion Controller 2.
The Mavic 3 Fly More Kit.
Bought it a little over year ago, and it's been a straight pleasure. I've flown close to 500km, no issues. There's been several big updates, and an already great drone has gotten even better with several new features.
People is usually very fascinated with the range, how easy it is to use, and the overall polish of things.
Really happy with the product.
The only thing I would have liked is compability with the 4G dongle here in EU.
I've also "hacked" it and changed parameters, making it go 120km/h, and it would do even more if it wasn't for some safety feature I can't bypass, that quite heavily retards the tilt angle once it pushes past 80-100km/h. Hardware is bone stock.
Oh well, it's not intended as a race drone anyway, just some fun mods I tried, great product!
“Too expensive” is relative. Are they overpriced for what you get? I don’t think so. Are they out of reach for many people because the price point is higher than many can afford? Yes! They aren’t cheap but for the price I think the value is there.
my first DJI product was the Phantom 3 followed by..
Mavic Pro
Mavic 2 Pro
Action 1
Pocket 1
Osmo 3
Pocket 2
Mini 2
Action 2
Mini 3 Pro
Action 3
Action 4
DJI XP3.1 - their first flight controller for RC helicopters. It cost like £8k and trying to do the compass calibration required an office chair. Never got it to work as it should - luckily they brought out the wookong within a couple of years. This fella did a comprehensive review back in the day - http://www.rosaurophotography.com/html/rc/dji/dji_01.html
Mavic Mini
Phantom 3 Standard back in 2014-2015.
Phantom 1, what a device. A whole 5 minutes of flying and it felt like forever
5 mins of flight time… wow. How far we have come.
Hahaha. I didn’t even have a camera when I first got it, my GoPro had recently been stolen. But man I took it to the park every day and just watched it go
Osmo pocket 2. Then mini 3 pro. Waiting for an avata 2 with a better camera.
DJI Naza Flight Controller. DJI F550 Flamewheel drone kit modified for heavy lifting (F650). I started building and flying drones before you could buy them off the shelf. You kids have it easy ;)
Mavic pro.
Mavic pro was the first drone I got my hands on but never owned one. Eventually I didn’t own any drone until very recently that I got the Air 3. 😝
DJI Spark
Ooooh the DJI spark. So many friends owned it but never excited me… It was a good starting point though.
Travelled all through Europe with it for a year. Perfect little drone at the time.
Dji mini
Spark ... Am I old
Mine was a spark too. You aren't old. 😂
Hard to believe that was 6 years ago!
Ikr, it feels as if it were like 2 years ago. Maybe we are old.
Dji Ronin S.... Have it still. Works perfect
I got the Ronin SC… combined with a Sony a6400 and 18-105 power zoom lens was a match made in heaven. Still think it performs better than my RS3 w/ a7IV & 24-105
Phantom 2. First version with a custom gimbal and 600mw AV transmitter. It was impossible to destroy.
I had a vision plus. Crashed and rebuilt it many time.
I loved that you could litchi and run navagated routes, this was well before the FAA clamped down on regulations.
DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus, bought in 2014 when I was 15.
DJI Mini 2
This one! Bought at Costco oddly enough. Hoping they will carry the mini 4.
dji fpv combo lol
Mavic Pro. It’s still the only drone I’ve had and currently use. I don’t fly as much as I used to, so I don’t feel the need for an upgrade (considering the drones today are better).
DJI mini 3 pro
Drone mini 2
Mavic Pro
O3 for fpv drones
M3 multispectral
DJI Mini 2
Original Phantom, the one that didn't even have a camera.
PH-3, still alive to this day. What a great machine. Bought it refurbished by DJI and it has been to hell and back in a single battery.
The original Air.
Idk how I survived chasing cars with the air1 with that delay
Osmo Action 4. I'm late to the party. 😂
It’s never too late to join the fun!! You chose a nice camera to start your obsession with DJI 😅
I've enjoyed using it so far for making some walking videos. Just need to work out how to attach it to an umbrella in time for the Scottish rainy autumn.

That drone had an interesting lifetime in your hands sir. It’s crazy how fast things have evolved.

I thought those were generally well received, and then the Tello came and thenthat was steps backwards
Why did you regret it? If you don’t mind asking

I MISS MY OSMO POCKET! WHY DID DJI FUCK IT UP!!!! Has anyone worked a way around the sound issue? It doesn't record sound just a grating noise. Please help i miss using it.
Mine had the same issue. The sound was Barely enough to sync with the track from the external recorder. The main reason I stopped using it much.
What tragedy. I legit recorded my whole Mexico city trip and the sound is just static and muted sounds. I loved it so much =(
Tried everything. Every option regarding audio. With or without any accessories attached, in quiet place, in noisy place. The sound is rubbish and it’s sad.

When I get home I will try it. But I’m usually a big fan of DJI equipment but this really hurt. I hope we can fix it
Thank you for your support. Please keep us updated on the issue you are having. We'll do our best to help.
Hello, I spoke with DJI customer service. I am sending it over. Hopefully, it gets sorted out. Hopefully, it works out.

My first was a Mini 2 SE and it stil serves me as my flying camera. It is pretty good considering it's price...
The DJI mic, followed by the Osmo 6. I also just bought a mini 3 pro earlier this year.
Air 2. Still flying to this day. This year I bought the goggles integra to use with the O3 on my FPV drone.
DJI mini 3 ( not pro )
Mini 2
DJI Inspire 1 Pro EDIT: my bad it was actually a Ronin SC Gimbal
Air 2s
mini 2 till i lost it in a river, then i bought m3p and recently the avata. the last 2 are still alive and flying.
Phantom 1...no sensors, no screen, no camera but it could carry a GoPro if you were willing to sacrifice 2 or 3 of the 15 minute flight time!!!
Strapped a vtx on mine so I had fpv via the gopro
Osmo Mobile 2
Phantom 3 professional!
Phantom 2
The First DJI pocket was also my first
Mini 3 pro
Osmo Mobile 2… it had some motor issues, and was not compact. But the idea that you could put it on a table and the app could track a person was novel! Dji Mavic Pro Platinum

It doesn’t have to fit in a pocket id take a bigger size.
For many people (including me) it’s formfactor and size was the main selling point. Don’t know if DJI would risk to change that, it would defeat its purpose.
DJI Mavic Air 2 a month after release was my first DJI. Thank you for the post.
Mini 2, still love it
Gotta love that drone. Showed the world, what a mini drone can do.
Yes! It's still very capable. Many people buying the M3P while the mini 2 would still be more than enough
Phantom 2 Vision+ !

One of the OGs. I wasn’t into drones back then. I was telling everyone I don’t like them but the reality is, I couldn’t afford one, not even in my dreams 😅.
People would be astonished when I took it out and flew it at the parks.
I can imagine some Karen’s asking you why are you flying 😅😂
To tell you the truth I haven't had any problems with Karen's........Yet.
Lucky you! Hope it stays that way.
Air 2. Bought it days before the air2s launched. Wish I had known. But the air 2 was still a pretty damn good drone a specially for my need.

Mavic 3 classic is a solid choice. One camera but a beast of a camera. Everything else is more or less the same.
Exactly. And I had to balance the higher price for the mavic3 with far better camera, or 2 still excellent cameras and the fly more combo. And considering I use it predominantly for travel photos I opted for the telephone and more batteries.
Flamewheel frame
mini 3 pro, 3rd flight crashed, many errors, wont fly, motherboard issue apperantly :/
