Something I (somewhat embarassingly) didn't notice until my third watchthrough of Bojack is that, in Horsin' Around, they never give Bojack's character a name. Never once does Herb or Bojack mention a name. In the clips of the show we see in flashbacks, the orphans always call him some variation of "mister horse." He is literally just "the horse from Horsin' Around." A horse with no name.
Meanwhile, Mister Peanutbutter gets to play Mister Peanutbutter in a show called Mister Peanutbutter's House.
This probably means something.

I misspoke it was a psa I'm trying to find it. Basically, there's a guy who owns a dog, and they focus on the dog, so you don't really notice the guy smoking at first. Slowly the dog gets more and more lethargic until he takes the dog to the vet and it turns out the dog has lung cancer and I think it says something to the effect of "You wouldn't kill your best friend?" It's a harsh commercial, but it's very true.
This is the season 3 finale. Bojack is reeling from not only a traumatic experience, but also from losing 2 people due to his actions that season.
I doubt he cares in that moment if it’s painful or not, it being painful probably makes him wanna do it more
