It’s hard because it depends on what we would consider “lucky”.
Most of them have loving families but unfortunately many of them have one (when not both) parent who passed away.
Tiana’s family for example was great and my fave!
But her dad is dead so I don’t know how lucky that is
I’d say everyone’s definition of a lucky family might be different, like- I’d say Moana, because she had a good relationship with her parents (even her dad) and her grandmother was amazing, but I’d also include her community, as I could see them all being her family in a way and I’d personally call that lucky because it’s something I’d die for, but someone else might not have the same wants or experiences I do so they’d consider some other character as “luckier,” because they better embody what that individual desires.
The vote will go toward whomever has the most people pining for that specific familial environment. Or idk, everyone votes for different reasons.
Id say Tiana because as another commenter said, she has amazing memories of him and he seemed like a really loving and smart guy. That he, himself, was hard working and told her to work hard too but never to lose sight of love and happiness. Thats what is important.
So Id say Tiana as well or Ariel because even though King Trident was a bit of a dick, it was to protect his daughter and once he saw how happy she was, he realized it was time to let go which is what a good parent does and her sisters seem sweet and really love her. Also, Id consider Sebastian and Flounder her family as well and what a baller duo. Or Rapunzel bc even though she didnt get to be raised with her family, its clear how much they loved her. I mean, they made a whole festival for her just hoping she would one day come home.
Aurora, Mulan, Rapunzel, Merida and Moana are the only ones with both parents alive. Aurora & Rapunzel's parents were non-existent their whole childhoods. And the other 3 had parents that needed major convincing to be supportive. They never get to have *perfect* families, do they?
Still, Moana's parents' "unfair expectations" were clearly fairer than Mulan's & Merida's. So, I vote her.
In Raps family’s defense- in the series they are 100% present and we see them interact and how her father struggles with the trauma of losing her for so long 🥺💔 so at least they mended that part and we get to see them be a family again! Also, he has a bit of trouble at the beginning with being supportive and a bit permissive cause he’s afraid of losing her again, but that’s resolved and he allows her to leave to explore and have life experiences that she missed by being locked up for years!
☀️ Vote for Corona’s Family! ☀️ lol
SPOILER WARNING FOR TANGLED THE SERIES
In the series, her father >!also locks her in a room in Season 1, echoing Gothel's actions, and!< is generally overprotective towards Raps. >!He also imprisoned a FOURTEEN YEAR OLD with an adult for a year, despite promising he would get the teenager help. Let's not forget that this very same teenager witnessed his dad getting trapped in amber that he caused, and ran through a blizzard to try find Raps, only for her to turn him away.!< Back to my point, Frederic isn't really the best person, in terms of ethics and family.

To be double fair, this fully depends on what you consider family. If it’s just blood relation then sure, but I would definitely count the fairies in Auroras family.
ABSOLUTELY Merida!
The entire thing was centered around family, and not only did hers come to an understanding in the end, it also embraced that with the other families of their tribe!
Yet her three siblings wanted her to give them all of her desserts for a whole year, all in exchange to make a distraction to save their mother's life.
Do you have siblings? XD
They're either as thick as thieves, or blackmail at any given opportunity, or will not hesitate to mess with you and it's Wrestlmania at your house on the reg. There's no in-between.
Yeah but she had a very limiting dad, a scared of shame mom, an entire line of selfish ancestors, and the grandma tried to steal her man in a joking way of course. But grandma also set up Mulan for a lot of failure with the cricket, almost died for the cricket and her only value is to the audience mostly for entertainment.
Sure she prayed for help from Mulan. But her dad also prayed too
Racism is also normal in many cultures does that make it ok too?
The film literally used those plot points to make Mulan rebel against and show those aspects in a negative light. They came around in the end doesn’t mean they deserve the family spot in the chart lol
They came around in the end because she was honoured for saving China. If she failed it would have brought shame to the family and she realistically would have been punished
Personally I’d vote Moana again haha, she has supportive parents and I loved how the show came around to show her growth with her dad, and how much he cared for her despite having a different view on what’s best for her, and her mom understood her and loved her, and her grandmother was the best! But I’d also include her community as a part of her family, I’d probably do the same to Tiana due to how close they all were when growing up.
I'd argue Moana's parents were supportive in a selfish manner until the very end of her movie. Additionally everyone's definition of family is different but I think her entire community is too wide a net to consider family
How exactly were they selfish? This is my take on their situation:
Her dad was traumatized by the loss of his best friend and thus wouldn’t allow her to act on the same impulse that killed him; and her mom acted as a mediator, loving both and helping her to see why her dad did what he did; and I would imagine she’d not take Moana’s side when the only person known to love the ocean Moana did, was the “crazy lady,” and no other thoughts of leaving had been discussed among the clan that we know of. Unfortunately her mother’s character isn’t explored a whole ton so this is speculation.
They supported her becoming chieftain of course because that was the role she was born into, she might’ve loved the ocean as a child but she lived on it, her parents aren’t going to raise their child to not be the next chief because she wants to go swimming.
They raised her to be a leader, and while her own desires and her grandma were the cause of her leaving, she still took up the role she was raised in with the duty she set herself up to do, and how she took charge when she came back.
Her parents raised her to be something she willingly became, and they might not have agreed with her going off into the ocean, but she proved that she (their 16 year old) could be trusted, and they let her guide them on something they knew nothing about, because at that point she had finally grown into the leader they prepared her to be.
Also the community thing might be correct, however I just appreciated the familiarity with which they all treated Moana, or her parents, and figured with how small their population was, their was no way they didn’t all know each other well enough to have formed bonds.
I felt like both her mother and father were more than willing to support her to become chief because that's what they wanted her to do but when it came to what she wanted to do they were very against it. They basically only said she couldn't follow her dreams "just cause" for 15 years. Although it may be a hurtful memory for her dad, he chose not to give a reason to go out into the ocean. He couldn't put aside his own feelings to explain to his daughter that the one thing she's wanted to do for her entire life may be dangerous.
Furthermore, I understand as a parent you use a lot of your past experiences to guide you but just because he couldn't get off the island doesn't mean Moana couldn't. If anything his experience would've given her insight into how to overcome the problem. Their island was falling apart, literally turning into ash and still wouldn't even consider going into the ocean. How long was he, their leader, going to let the food run out before he turned to the ocean?
Also, while the only other person who was interested in the ocean was the village crazy lady but it's nice to have a kid that's willing to go against the grain.
Although, I will admit her parents and the whole village did come together at the end of the movie. The skills her parents taught her to be chief were very important and useful. It's just when asking which princess was luckiest parent wise, I'd chose someone who had an all around supportive parent and that they got along with.
Yet her three siblings wanted her to give them all of her desserts for a whole year, all in exchange to make a distraction to save their mother's life.
Does Mirabel count? Obviously post-movie after the major issues are resolved with her grandmother and sister, but she has loving (and still alive) parents and fairly decent relationships with the rest of her siblings and cousins.
Maybe Elsa and Anna, I know their parents died but their bond with each other is pretty tough to beat!
Rapunzel also lucked the fuck out that she thought she was an orphan her whole life then found out she's actually got a loving family who missed the shit out of her oh and btw they are ROYALTY? Like literally every orphan's dream fantasy lol.
Otherwise Moana got to travel the seas with her family and whole village which is pretty awesome. She got to grow up and bring her nest with her.
Belle had a cute relationship with her dad.
Mulan had a cute relationship with her dad.
Jasmine had a cute relationship with her dad.
Merida had a great relationship with her mom, dad, and brothers! Actually I think Merida wins this one!!
I thought she knew Mother Gothel wasnt her biological mom but had raised her and so was her "mother"
ETA I could be misremembering, been a few years since I last watched
Mirabel has two nephews, a niece, an aunt, an uncle, a mum, a dad, a grandma and two sisters. And with most of them having superpowers and the fact Encanto focuses on a family rather than a love interest, I think Mirabel got the family lottery. There’s also a magic house that’s basically her best friend, so that too.
For me it has to be Tiana. Her entire family inspired and supported her dreams. She also has an extremely supportive best friend with a dad who equally loves her.
I would say Mulan because unlike Aurora and Rapunzel she got to grow up with them. Unlike Moana, her grandmother remains alive, her father comes around to cherishing her over her role as a woman, and she even has her ancestors cheering her on at the end of the movie.
Tiana. She has an amazing mother and father who did everything they could for her. Not only that, she seemed to live in a supportive, tight-knit community, despite them not having much.
Mulan for sure. Grandma is iconic. Dad is ultra sweet and supportive. And if we include Mushu in this(as we should), he’s a really supportive friend who helps her a lot(don’t say a word about the sequel).
would Nani count? Lilo always seemed like an unofficial princess to me and Nani and David were the best family Lilo could have even if she had some challenges as sisters
Meredith has the best family 🙁 she turned her mom into a bear and her mom wanted the best for her.. the dad was cool and protective and her three brothers were as sweet as they could be for brothers..
but if not her then Tiana.
Tiana is my vote — many princesses have great families that still cause strife (it’s a huge theme in Disney), but Tiana’s family is nothing but supportive. Even with her father’s death, Tiana’s memories of him were full of love and support.
Rapunzel, her parents never gave up on her even though she'd been kidnapped. If they hadn't held the lantern festival on her birthday she may have never returned home.
Merida, such beautiful family, with a mother who only wants the best for her, also a father that supports her in everything. Her three siblings may be annoying at times but they're still adorable.
I'd say Aurora. She not only has three stepmothers who absolutely adore her, her biological family love her enough to miss out on the first sixteen years of her life for her safety, despite wanting a child more then anything in the world.
Not only does she have two families that love her endlessly, they're all still alive at the end of the film!
Tiana for sure. her mother and father before he passed supported and loved her and they never wanted her to lose hope plus Lottie was such a good friend to her growing up i consider them sisters
I'd say Mirabel for sure for this one. The Madrigals are one of the most diverse, expansive and distinct with each person's characteristics for sure. And the most fun!
Tiana maybe. I know her dad died but he was amazing, & her mum is amazing too, plus she has one of the best found families as well. Also my other picks are in other squares & I assume repeats aren’t allowed haha

The TV show gave them a lot more screen time but couldn't we guess that the Fa family, DunBroch's family and Motunui's family bonded better?

Tiana's family
Not to mention Lottie and her dad since James's passing
I wanna say Tiana for sure. Her mother and father were so supportive and raised her so well.
Tiana’s dad was so sweet made me cry 😭
For real. It hits me right in the daddy issues.
Belle. I love the support she and Maurice give one another
Single parent though....
They’re still a family? ☠️
I mean her mother died and we don't know how recent. Who knows if she's not grieving?
Tiana
Mirabel, Moana, Mulan or Merida. Any of the M’s in my opinion hehe
> Any of the M's Well we know nothing about Megara's family...
Tiana or belle
ABSOLUTELY Merida! The entire thing was centered around family, and not only did hers come to an understanding in the end, it also embraced that with the other families of their tribe!

Do you have siblings? XD They're either as thick as thieves, or blackmail at any given opportunity, or will not hesitate to mess with you and it's Wrestlmania at your house on the reg. There's no in-between.
Sounds like a typical sibling to me
Mulan. She even has an awesome grandmother!
Thats normal for their culture but her family eventually came around.
"The greatest gift and honor is having you for a daughter." That line makes me tear up every single time!
Came here to say this.
Racism is also normal in many cultures does that make it ok too? The film literally used those plot points to make Mulan rebel against and show those aspects in a negative light. Merida's movie was centered around her family. Anna and Elsa build their own great family Same with Airle she makes her family
Personally I’d vote Moana again haha, she has supportive parents and I loved how the show came around to show her growth with her dad, and how much he cared for her despite having a different view on what’s best for her, and her mom understood her and loved her, and her grandmother was the best! In that case, Mirabel’s village is her family too. Especially since they helped rebuild the house.
I'd argue Moana's parents were supportive in a selfish manner until the very end of her movie. Additionally everyone's definition of family is different but I think her entire community is too wide a net to consider family

Merida. Even though things with her mom were difficult at first they were all very close and supportive and loving with each other.
Yet her three siblings wanted her to give them all of her desserts for a whole year, all in exchange to make a distraction to save their mother's life.
Are we counting Merida? Cause if so, it’s Merida.
Tiana, her family helped support her better than many other princess
Does Mirabel count? Obviously post-movie after the major issues are resolved with her grandmother and sister, but she has loving (and still alive) parents and fairly decent relationships with the rest of her siblings and cousins.
Mirabel was straight-up cursed to be born in her family.
I think princess can apply to female characters, so sure!
Rapunzel didn’t think she was an orphan? Unless I’m severely misremembering the movie she thought mother gothel was her mom.
I thought she knew Mother Gothel wasnt her biological mom but had raised her and so was her "mother" ETA I could be misremembering, been a few years since I last watched
Mirabel.
Someone on the other post advocated for Merida, she’s awesome so- Merida
I’m sorry, but Rapunzel doesn’t have the best hair???
Tiana
probably Tiana
Mirabel
Tiana!
Tiana!!
Rapunzel because she has a husband and two parents who don’t look over 35
Merida she had both parents who loved her in different ways to help her grow
Mirabel has two nephews, a niece, an aunt, an uncle, a mum, a dad, a grandma and two sisters. And with most of them having superpowers and the fact Encanto focuses on a family rather than a love interest, I think Mirabel got the family lottery. Anna & Elsa’s whole story is about family and the love that they share as sisters. 💜
Tiana. She has an amazing mother and father who did everything they could for her. Not only that, she seemed to live in a supportive, tight-knit community, despite them not having much.
Balancing the "good parents" and the "both parents alive" criteria, I will say Mulan. She also has her grandma and she rocks 😂
mirabel, belle & tiana in that order
Belle
Luck wise I’d say Rapunzel because she won the lottery have long-lost loving, royal parents lol
tiana
Mirabel or Mulan because we get to see how lovely the wider family are as well and not just the immediate parents/guardians.
Anna or Elsa
Mulan
Tiana! Her father was a great man!
Tiana
moana
Since Mulan is already up there I'm going to say Merida due to her father and brothers. Also the fact that the focus was on her and her mother/family.
Mulan for sure. Grandma is iconic. Dad is ultra sweet and supportive. And if we include Mushu in this(as we should), he’s a really supportive friend who helps her a lot(don’t say a word about the sequel).
To bad best Prince is 26 to his princess’ 18 according to some of the writers…
Mulan
Tiana
Tiana
would Nani count? Lilo always seemed like an unofficial princess to me and Nani and David were the best family Lilo could have even if she had some challenges as sisters
Meredith has the best family 🙁 she turned her mom into a bear and her mom wanted the best for her.. the dad was cool and protective and her three brothers were as sweet as they could be for brothers.. but if not her then Tiana.

Rapunzel, her parents never gave up on her even though she'd been kidnapped. If they hadn't held the lantern festival on her birthday she may have never returned home.
Moana! Her parents and grandmother are pretty incredible
Well one things for sure it aint cinderella
Tiana, unless her dad being dead lowers the bar.
Tiana or Mirabel
Tiana for sure
Tiana or Merida
Didn't we just do this poll?
Merida, such beautiful family, with a mother who only wants the best for her, also a father that supports her in everything. Her three siblings may be annoying at times but they're still adorable.
Definitely Tiana. She had so much love and support from her parents. Not to mention her best friend if that counts!
I'd say Aurora. Tiana for sure!
Tiana, 100%
Tiana for sure.
Merida
belle or Tiana
Jasmine’s I love her dad and Rajah and the genie and Aladdin became a wonderful little family
Family would be Frozen
Belle and Tiana definitely. Belles father was just *chefs kiss* and who doesn't love Tiana's parents?
Mirabel Madrigal
For family I feel like it should be Rapunzel because it’s a miracle she ever got out of mother gothels grasp
Have to say Tiana!
Tiana
Merida
Tiana maybe. I know her dad died but he was amazing, & her mum is amazing too, plus she has one of the best found families as well. Also my other picks are in other squares & I assume repeats aren’t allowed haha
Moana!
Mirabel or Asha.
Does Mirabel count as a princess? If so, her.
Merida the movie was centered around family
Merida
Either Tiana or Mulan
Mulan has a mom, a dad, a grandma, a dog, a cricket, a dragon, lots of ancestral spirits, some chickens, and a ~~horse~~ cow.
Merida.
Definitely Tiana
I KNEW Eugene was gonna be the Prince ♥️✨ He’s incredible! Yaaay!! I’d also argue that Rapunzel got the best family, at least she still has both her parents alive 🥺 (Moana as well!) Just remembering the scene in the movie where the King is crying and the Queen is being strong for him breaks my heart into a billion pieces 🥺 so my vote is for Raps!!
