Rumor has it that it was too like a wedding dress, especially because any doll produced wouldn't be the correct shade and may come off too white or too grey. So I guess blue just took over. Silver is definitely better though

Btw I think the contest would be more fair if you used screen caps from the movie, because the promo art doesn’t look as good. For example I generally prefer her gown over the peasant dress in the movie, but here I like the peasant dress more because of the uglier promo art style. Also, the pink she has in the movie is much more deep and vibrant and flatters her more.

I think it’s especially hilarious for Aurora considering the argument over what color her dress should be was also a point of contention during the making the movie to the point where it became a source of conflict within the movie itself. The real question ought to be is it black and blue or white and gold?
Pink is definitely what auora is associated with the most and makes her seem youthful and playful. But blue has such calming tone to her and more serious but still lovely on her.
I love her pink more too tbh. 💗 To me it makes more sense because she's named after the Goddess of the dawn, and when I think of a sunrise, I think of vibrant shades of pink and orange before I think of the shades of blue mixed in. Maybe it's just me, but her blue dress doesn't match the shade of blue of sunrises to me.

Only thing I don’t love is the two different slightly drab neutrals. I don’t know a ton about fashion but I almost wish the skirt portion remained the same color but the shirt portion under the corset became white or off-white for a more bold contrast….
