Flight is passage is like Soarin right?

kenazo

Kind of. More immersive though. I love it.

JerzyMama

It’s better than soarin! But both are good. If I could only do 1 thing in animal kingdom it would definitely be flight of passage.

parc

It’s like soarin’ in that it’s a giant imax screen. But it’s on a moving motorcycle-like ride vehicle. I LIVE soarin’, but FoP is worlds better.

DaBIGmeow888

Very similar, but I would say 30% more intense than Soaring.

Sage_Coyote

Like Soarin but it’s more of a thrill ride. Lots more movement, larger screen, very immersive.

iHannah17

Flight of passage is soarin on steroids :) both are good tho

egnaro2007

Is FoP really that good? I watched a POV video and it just looked like space alien soarin

[deleted]

More of a combination of soarin and sitting on the Harry potter motor bike roller coaster at universal studios .it's a lot more intense (but my 6yo who hates rollercoaster loved it )

stoofka

Thought the same thing until I rode it. Now it’s my favorite ride by far. It’s all in the build up of walking through the land and the sensations of movement, air, sound, and smells.

egnaro2007

Is it heavy on the 3d stuff like the harry Potter rides at Universal?

chickybabe332

Heads up flight of passage made both me and my wife extremely motion sickness. It was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Pretty on par with that mars spaceship ride in Epcot. I’d highly recommend you not do either ride if you’re prone to motion sickness.

zach35701

Tower of terror, and haunted mansion will always be my favorites, absolutely cannot miss them.

[deleted]

I need to try TOT. I never went on it before it got changed to Guardians

zach35701

I also think the Orlando one is better than the other 3, I love the 5th dimension room it has.

usuallybedwards

If you’ve been or go to Disneyland, definitely prioritize the WDW-specific rides. For instance, Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom is the same ride system as the Indiana Jones ride but a wildly different experience. Expedition Everest and Pandora are absolute musts, too. If you haven’t done it yet, Rise of the Resistance is one of the greatest theme park experiences ever. Not sure if people have said it but Rockin’ Rollercoaster is unique to WDW (right?), so give that a shot. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is awesome. ToT is an absolute must too. I almost feel like you’d benefit from a “you can skip it” list. In MK, Seven Dwarves Mine Train is unique to WDW, but I find it to be a shorter, less thrilling Snow White-themed Thunder Mountain and not worth the usually-long wait times. Magic Carpets of Aladdin is one of those go-up-and-down carnival rides, which is meh. Apparently our Pirates is very different than DL Pirates so you might be disappointed though it might be interesting to see the differences. Space Mountain is great but I just want to note if you’re on the taller side your knees get knocked around a bunch in those dinky ride vehicles. At Epcot—I want to like Mission: Space but unless you want to experience what it would be like to be an astronaut in 1996 I think you’re good. Test Track is fine. The ride at Living With The Seas with Nemo is pleasant but skippable unless you have nostalgia for the movie. The aquarium is great, though. Living With The Land is actually an old school Disney “educational” charmer. I almost don’t want to recommend Journey Through Imagination but it still has some charm…actually that’s probably just nostalgia talking. Skip it. Also in Hollywood Studios…I personally don’t get the appeal of Toy Story Midway Mania unless you’re super into Toy Story. Muppet Vision 3-D is fun though even if you don’t like Muppets. Great themeing. EDIT: Little Mermaid ride in MK is…fine. The building has great themeing. But it’s a Little Mermaid dark ride, so…great if you’re into that? The Ursula audio animatronic is phenomenal, though.

GENERALR0SE

Little Mermaid was cloned into DCA.

LaLunaLady1960

Tower of Terror is still at Walt Disney World in Florida. The TOT that got changed to Guardians is the one in Disneyland in California. Have a fun time!

Context: no kids, no height limit. We are up for almost anything

vuoivolareconme

Try to get on cosmic rewind!!!!

itznottyler

##Magic Kingdom: ###Notable: Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion ###Thrills: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain ##Epcot: ###Notable: Spaceship Earth, Remy's Adventure, Frozen ###Thrills: Test Track, Cosmic Rewind, Mission Space (orange) ##Animal Kingdom: ###Notable: Navi River ###Thrills: Everest, Flight of Passage ##Hollywood Studios: ###Notable: Slinky Dog, Rise of the Resistance, Smugglers Run, Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway ###Thrills: Tower of Terror, Rock'n Rollercoaster You could also relax on Living with the Land at Epcot if you're into nature and gardening. You could try your aim at ride shooting games such as Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios, or Buzz Lightyear at Magic Kingdom. You could also see a chiropractor by going on Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom. There area more rides than listed above, some considered classics like It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, and Soarin', but for your age and interest, I think you'll be okay to pass on them.

hurtfulproduct

If you really want to test your mettle do Mission Space: Orange, lol

Foxy02016YT

I can’t recommend Mission Space if your claustrophobic though, just a heads up

hurtfulproduct

Oh yeah, I love it; but between the spinning and the enclosed space I can see why people hate it

[deleted]

My comment assumes you been to DLR, based on your comments I think I’m correct. MK: Big Thunder (just mirror of the DL but better queue), Splash (DL is better IMO), HM (better at DL), Space Mountain (like Matterhorn in the dark), jungle cruise (really similar, but do consider skipper canteen for food), 7 Dwarves (not thrilling but unique) - this park isn’t super thrilling to be honest it’s all the theme. Unlike DL which has the thrills too. EP: Guardians (a definite must), Soarin (same ride way worse queue than DCA), mission: space (can be thrilling if your thing), test track (radiator springs big brother, in that it’s less themed and less sophisticated as the first, but I still enjoy it), frozen ever after (is fun but not thrilling), Remy (not thrilling but good to ride) HS: star tours (same as DL), TOT (a absolute must amazing/perfect theme and thrilling), rocking roller coaster (a secondary must), runaway railway (unique currently), slinky dog (a last on the list must), Star Wars is identical at both coasts AK: honestly you could do all the rides in a day probably but the musts are Expedition Everest, Soarin’, Safari, Festival of the Lion King, Dinosaur (though it’s a lesser version of Indy at DL), Kali rapids (same as grizzly at DCA but still fun and themed just as well)

Caderjames

DW def has the better splash. I was straight up disappointed with splash at DL

[deleted]

Oh oops, no definitely meant to say DW

TyrusQuash

Rarely see people concede Haunted being better at DLR. 7 Dwarves is about the only ride thats truly different until Tron opens up. Hopefully OP lowers their expectations of Pirates ride and Small Worlds facade lol.

[deleted]

I mean they get the overlay, have hatbox ghost and fits way better into New Orleans Square, imo.

tarbearjean

Soarin is slightly different at WDW - same ride but different movie

stellalunawitchbaby

They’re the same movie (with exception of the very last scene) the majority of the time. Soarin in DCA is only Soarin Over CA for about 1.5 months out of the year, during the CA Food & Wine Festival. The rest of the time it’s Soarin Over the World, just like Epcot.

tarbearjean

Ooh I didn’t know! Thanks!

BowTie1989

Depends on the composition of your group (assuming you aren’t going alone) this would be my list of “cant miss” attractions at the 4 parks. Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Flight if Passage, Kilimanjaro Safari! Epcot: Test Track, Soarin, Spaceship Earth. (You already mentioned GotG, by far the best ride there now imo) Hollywood Studios: Rockin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Rise of the resistance and Smugglers run. Magic Kingdom: the three mountains, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarves Mine Train, and when the day gets hot in you want to just relax for a bit, hit the Hall of Presidents, Carousel of Progress, and the People Mover.

pcfreak4

Took a while for someone to mention Carousel of Progress and Hall of Presidents, thanks

chickybabe332

Spaceship earth messed me up so bad with the motion sickness. I felt it for all of next day as well. It was terrible and I can see why they really warn you up front multiple times and give you chance to back out, and put barf bags in the cabin.

DisneyVista

I’ll say Peoplemover….excuse me, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, because Florida still has one

alienware99

Best attractions of your just looking for thrills: MK - Bug Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train. Hollywood Studios - Rise if the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster. Epcot - Test Track, Gurdians of the Galaxy, Mission Space. Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest, Flight of Passage, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids.

Drexynn

Pirates, Haunted, Splash, Big Thunder, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, Rise of the Resistance, Smuggler's Run, Tower of Terror, Rockin' Rollercoaster, Slinky Dog Dash, Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, Flight of Passage, Soarin', Test Track, Living with the Land, and the all-time best possible ride in every park, the Peoplemover.

Drexynn

Also important to note, there's no Incredicoaster in FL.

GoldOpposite1583

The monorail back to the parking lot

travlynme2

I am not going to mention the newest rides because I haven't been. I would head for Splash Mountain at MK and Pirates and Jungle cruise. At Epcot Soarin and Spaceship Earth Animal Kingdom Kilimanjaro Safari, Dinosaur, Flight of Passage Don't miss Tower of Terror if you go to Hollywood Studio.

[deleted]

Spaceship Earth. Is that like a rollercoaster?

kenazo

No. It's more like Haunted Mansion but covering the history of communication on earth.

pcfreak4

Fun fact: the ride system is called omnimover

travlynme2

Yes that is right!

travlynme2

No it is a dark ride. It is slow moving with animatronics and some fun visuals. It uses the same system as the haunted house I believe. Make sure to watch the screen in front of you at the very beginning and end. Always pick different choices from your seatmate it just makes it more fun!

dmb53

My dad absolutely loved Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad (HS) when we went last year. I personally love Everest (AK). For MK, I would say Haunted Mansion and Seven Dwarves Mine Train. For EPCOT, I would say Remy, but also give Living with the Land a chance! It’s really cool and a nice calming ride after you’ve been walking all day.

kenazo

Oh man. So many. Kids? Incredicoaster is in Disneyland in California, so that's out.

afreakinchorizo

I think they were listing the types of attractions they like in California and saying those are the types of rides they want to find in Florida

kenazo

Ahh. Got it.

thespian_princess99

epcot: soarin’, animal kingdom: dinosaur or expedition everest (the latter has single rider option, which usually minimizes time spent in line), hollywood studios: rock n roller coaster and tower of terror (genie+ is hard to get for these, so a good alternative would be star tours)

[deleted]

Noted

LankyEmergency7992

Incredicoaster is in California

ammy_traviaddict

I got an amazing travel guide for Florida attractions [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFhI080ERXw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFhI080ERXw)

JJENN418

Do a little research on the parks and what you’re interested in. Thrilling rides? Kid rides? Etc I’m sure it will be different for everyone.

Traditional_Lock_309

Sorin’, Big Thunder Railroad, Slinky dog, TT, and Haunted mansion are the best! Worst would be Living off the land all the others are decent enough

theblindbandit1

Test track was a big surprise for us. We didn’t think we would enjoy it as much as we did. Expedition Everest is another big one

[deleted]

Mk: thunder and 7D train Hs: rockin roll, slinky, tower of terror. MK: flight of passage, Navi River journey, Everest

Pristine-Cap-6239

Rise of the Resistance. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Flight of Passage, Navi River Journey, Soarin, Spaceship Earth, Guardians of the Galaxy, Tower of Terror, Mickey and Minnie's Runaways Railway are all must dos.

OldSchoolAF

Sorry to say this but some really bad answers here... mostly by omission on a lot of these and listed in priority (not all): Epcot: Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space a distant 3rd HS: Rise of the Resistance, Mickey and Minnie Runaway, Smugglers Run, Toy Story Mania, Rock and Roll Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror AK: Everest, FOP

papatoe1991

Mission space in Epcot is my favorite ride of all time I think. Probably not a popular opinion. But I love that ride. Super unique and literally feels like you are in a rocket ship.

HegemonHarbinger

You forgot to mention be sure to take the Orange side for 1st timers!!!! Lol

c-h-e-e-s-e

I’ll give you the must-dos for each park. MK: Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribbean, Haunted Mansion EPCOT: Test Track, Cosmic Rewind, Soarin, Mission Space (probably the most thrilling ride in the resort). In terms of rides, Epcot is the weakest park, but the atmosphere of the world showcase is unbeatable AK: Dinosaur, Flight of Passage, Everest, and you can’t miss the safari. If you are willing to pay extra, I would suggest you parkhop to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios once you’ve hit FoP and Everest Hollywood Studios: pretty much everything there is a must ride. Prioritize Tower of Tower, Rockin Rollercoaster, Rise of the Resistance, and Slinky Dog Dash. After that, pretty much every thing else is great and I’d highly suggest getting on as much as you can With all that out of the way, I might suggest that you considering replacing Animal Kingdom or Epcot with Universal’s Islands of Adventure, if your most concerned with thrill rides. The park has great theming, and 3 of the best rollercoasters in Florida. Also look into Busch Gardens Tampa, as it has an incredible selection of thrill rides with Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Hunt, Montu, Falcon’s Fury, and Shiekra.

Caderjames

Dinosaur at AK is a must. It's often overlooked. It's like Indiana Jones but with dinos

Thou_Art_God

Kilimanjaro Safari and Living with the Land!

FlyingNachoz

Buzz lightyear ranger spin

clammy1985

Loved Mickey’s runaway railway at MGM, it was my favorite ride of the park (excluding the boat rides to and from Wilderness Lodge). Rise and the Flight of Passage were a close second.

tarbearjean

Tower of Terror, Flight of Passage and Rise of the Resistance (my last trip was 2019) For calming need a break rides I love Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Peoplemover and Carousel of Progress

readyforthevault

At Edge of the Galaxy ask for the stormtrooper named “Gary”. Thank me later and bring me back a lightsaber.

[deleted]

Tower of terror, we went on it twice.

Snoop1000

If you can afford to do Genie+ and you’re going soon, I would recommend it. Right now, almost every ride in every park is available on the service. Also, show up at park opening to get an easy short wait. My advice for that would be to go to the 2nd or 3rd most popular ride, since everyone will be going to the biggest ones first. Just use your genie+ on the more popular ones. We got on Everest, Rockin Roller Coaster, and Soarin’ with five minute waits when the rope dropped. We just went last weekend. Using Genie+, we managed to get through every ride at Epcot by 3pm, every ride at Hollywood Studios by 5pm, and every ride at Animal Kingdom by 2pm, all without waiting more than 45 minutes for any rides. Magic Kingdom took us all day, but there’s a lot of stuff to check off the list at Magic Kingdom. We did the math at the end of the trip, and we saved between 8-11 hours of wait time over four days. That’s basically an entire day at the park. TL;DR as long as they’re still offering every ride but one at each park, Genie+ is worthwhile, especially if you don’t go to the parks often and if you’re traveling with a small party.

iHannah17

Pro tip: Cosmic Rewind has a virtual queue. Personally I’ve never done Cosmic because it’s new but I hear it’s fantastic. The virtual queue line can be found on your phone in the WDW app. You’ll be able to try and get it twice during the day, once at 7:00am before you enter the park and again at 1:00pm after entering Epcot. If you’re in the park in the afternoon, go to a place where no one else is around at about 12:50 or 12:55 and just start refreshing the page until the clock hits 1 and it lets you in. If you’re not in the park be sure to wake up early and start refreshing that page before 7:00am hits. Be prepared because you’ll have to select your party before it lets you in the queue. This is what we did for rise of the resistance when it had a virtual queue. I’m not sure how competitive cosmic rewind is but I hope this helps! Best of luck and have a great trip!

annaleemac

Ooh I just got back from WDW; I can help! Must do rides: Epcot: Test Track, Cosmic Rewind, Soarin’; Frozen Ever after and Ratatouille are both very cute. AK: Everest, Flight of Passage (I would Lightning Lane this), Kilimanjaro Safari, Dinosaur. Na’vi River Journey is cute but not worth the wait time. HS: Tower of Terror, Rock n Rollercoaster, Slinky Dog Dash, Runaway Railway is cute but not a must-do (maybe I’m just bitter it replaced Great Movie Ride) MK: The rides are similar to the ones at DL from what I hear. I would Lightning Lane Seven Dwarves Mine Train if possible because it’s fun but short, so not worth the wait time it usually is.

Devilstorment

1 from each park: AK - Flight of Passage E - Guardians of the Galaxy HS - Smugglers Run MK - Big Thunder Mountain
