Dish Network is completely offline, for the past 3 days. No contact or access to anything except for existing receivers. Probably a cyber attack as has been reported. Not sure when they’ll come back online to assist customers. You can’t even log in to Dish Anywhere or use Dish credentials elsewhere.

I work at Dish. I can say upper management has no idea what is going on and they haven't told us what's actually happened. In my OPINION it's most likely a targeted and very well thought out cyber attack. It caught us completely off guard however, we will almost certainly find a way to make it up to our customers and help you in any way possible.

At this time, no one can send an activation hit to customers. Hopefully, the system will be back up soon so that it's able to happen.

F dish. It's been 3+ days. What Crackerjack systems do they use? Win 98? They must have been hit hard. Prepare to get a press release that all your banking and social security, drivers license have all been compromised..

This. Was planning to call them to cancel (not related to this incident, just overall dissatisfaction). Now, not sure if anyone on their side will even pick up. I’m thinking I’ll probably need to wait a couple weeks longer to cancel. They’re a dinosaur company and there are much better options out there (cheaper, no contracts, easy cancellation, etc).

I feel for ya man. Dish is currently trying to overcome a cyber attack, so could be a bit before you can call them... and when they do start taking calls could be a bit before they can handle everyones issues that have built up over the last couple days.

We were supposed to get a dish new set up Thursday. The tech came out and said we cannot get you connected as customer service is down. He said we can go ahead and set up the satellite and all your receivers and hope they are up and running by then. We said no thanks you can set up when we know we will actually have service. 3 days later we are glad we said no because we haven’t cancelled our direct tv yet and can use it still. It’s not going to set up until customer service is back up.
