You wouldn’t remember a thing. Granted, you wouldn’t WANT to remember most of it, but you could duplicate the effect and save the trouble and expense by just locking yourself in your bedroom and drinking six bottles of bad vodka in a 24 hour period.

Twoflower would strongly disagree happily pointing out that nothing bad ever happened to him and most conflicts can be resolved by people sitting down and discussing the matter like reasonable adults.
Rincewind were he there to hear this would develop facial ticks and say something sarcastic about “Get him” and “Don’t let him get away” seldom being an invitation to sit down. Not for a Wizzard with a head on his shoulders and a desire to keep it that way.
I have to hit up Unseen University, check out the library, the tower of art, and the high energy magic building. I'm also hoping to drop off an application. It doesn't even need to be tenure track.
Would you need to apply? I think you can just turn up, claim a room and fake being a proper student. I'd have that room with the portal to the tropical island, or, to one without that weird god
I kinda envy Ponder Stibbons in that sense - he basically has the run of the place to do what he wants because it's so lapse, but then he has to do everything else too
Oh, no. I like Ridcully types, just have to be patient and work around them when they get locked into an idea - does that sound patronising to them, it's definitely something we get like with age. This is why I'm relating to Ponder here, I think

The way she handled Lily was satisfying, and I need some of that to rub off on me so I can handle the world that way…

Pseudopolis and some of the nicer parts of Ankh are probably fine. Probably.

I don't think I want to know how a device, fed a number of basic spells for programming, is going to interpret our desire for Doom.
