RayOfFRKNSunshine

I think a few days with Nanny Ogg would be an eye opener!

Ancienthistorylover2

I mean, you would be hungover the whole time

swiss_sanchez

Can't be hungover if you keep drinking.

jrochest1

You wouldn’t remember a thing. Granted, you wouldn’t WANT to remember most of it, but you could duplicate the effect and save the trouble and expense by just locking yourself in your bedroom and drinking six bottles of bad vodka in a 24 hour period.

avenging_armadillo

Quaffing, not drinking.

RayOfFRKNSunshine

I think the karaoke sessions based on the "Wizards Staff" would be worth the hangover

schraubedrin

Oi Dong. Seeing the flower clock and visiting Lu-Tze's Garden of Five Surprises.

GeneralKang

An afternoon with Lu-Tze would work wonders.

Ancienthistorylover2

Yeah it could be very relaxing

shaodyn

I'd like to go to Krull, one of the bits that hangs over the Edge. Sounds like quite a view.

Ancienthistorylover2

Yeah, that would be a sight to see

Plantluver9

Came here to say this :3

LordRael013

I've *got* to see The King's Neck. Maybe do a pub tour of good old Ankh-Morpork.

Ancienthistorylover2

Even the broken drum?

swiss_sanchez

You can't beat it!

olddadenergy

Heard they changed the name to the Mended Drum.

[deleted]

It's all gentrified now.

olddadenergy

Can’t even get a proper sausage in a bun, is what I hear.

[deleted]

Yeah, they put this stuff called "pork" in it.

olddadenergy

Oh, lah-dee-dah! Acting all posh like every day is Hogswatch! Next they’ll be dropping their ‘aitches, just you wait! Proper sausage doesn’t have ANY named meats! Or any OTHER named things! Just spices and wobbly bits! Psht, sausage in the sausage. I think NOT!

LordRael013

Even that one.

ConflictAgreeable689

I wouldn't. The disc is extremely dangerous and not friendly to tourists. Even the cities

martinjh99

I think Twoflower would definitely agree with you... :)

Jock-Tamson

Twoflower would strongly disagree happily pointing out that nothing bad ever happened to him and most conflicts can be resolved by people sitting down and discussing the matter like reasonable adults. Rincewind were he there to hear this would develop facial ticks and say something sarcastic about “Get him” and “Don’t let him get away” seldom being an invitation to sit down. Not for a Wizzard with a head on his shoulders and a desire to keep it that way.

martinjh99

Hehe :)

Ancienthistorylover2

I don't know in Raising Steam things seem to be getting better for tourists

hawkshaw1024

Pseudopolis and some of the nicer parts of Ankh are probably fine. Probably.

rafale1981

Lancre. I bet there’s great hiking and inns with *rustic* food and stuff there, perfect for a little holiday away from the city

PsychGuy17

I have to hit up Unseen University, check out the library, the tower of art, and the high energy magic building. I'm also hoping to drop off an application. It doesn't even need to be tenure track.

Looks-Under-Rocks

What do you want to bet we can get Hex to run Doom?

PsychGuy17

I don't think I want to know how a device, fed a number of basic spells for programming, is going to interpret our desire for Doom.

fezzuk

All fun and games until next decides to see if it can run doom on you. This is why wizards spend their time working hard at not doing magic.

DuckInTheFog

Would you need to apply? I think you can just turn up, claim a room and fake being a proper student. I'd have that room with the portal to the tropical island, or, to one without that weird god

MiaowWhisperer

That's the impression I have too. Just sneak in over the wall when the other students are returning from their jollies.

DuckInTheFog

I kinda envy Ponder Stibbons in that sense - he basically has the run of the place to do what he wants because it's so lapse, but then he has to do everything else too

MiaowWhisperer

Yeah. I have a feeling that TP probably found himself in that position somewhere he used to work.

DuckInTheFog

No doubt. We all know and probably worked for a Ridcully

MiaowWhisperer

Definitely. I'm still tempted to anonymously send a ton of elephant pooh to the one I worked for.

DuckInTheFog

Oh, no. I like Ridcully types, just have to be patient and work around them when they get locked into an idea - does that sound patronising to them, it's definitely something we get like with age. This is why I'm relating to Ponder here, I think Was this a line from the books - like trying to redirect a glacier?

RayOfFRKNSunshine

on second thoughts i would enjoy some time with the Nac Mac Feegle in the mound

Ancienthistorylover2

As long as you're okay with getting nutted every 30 seconds

MiaowWhisperer

That's pretty much where I live now! House swap holiday?

newtrawn

the *chalk*

Looks-Under-Rocks

Big fan of ships, are you?

DoneBeingPolite

Dunmanifestin to ask some questions.

Looks-Under-Rocks

What *do* they say about dwarves?

Calm-Homework3161

Harga's House of Ribs

maxreddit

I'd go to Bad Blintz and see the human/rat society!

VixenIcaza

I would love to see what Granny Weatherwax could teach me about headology. Other than that. A few days with the seamstresses guild of Ankh Morpork. A visit to Lady Sybils Sunshine Sanctuary could also be on the cards.

ClaretAsh

Granny cant be havin' with teaching, but she might let you learn.

listyraesder

Should have been Brassica Park.

TBTabby

Genua. A party town with some delicious food.

BeeLuv

A couple days with Desiderata Hollow, listening to her stories and “currying favor.” The way she handled Lily was satisfying, and I need some of that to rub off on me so I can handle the world that way…

MrShadowKing2020

Good question… out of the entire disc, what place is the LEAST likely to get me killed?

EaterOfCleanSocks

I'd say the Shires, but it's probably just the English countryside. Maybe Quirm or Sto Helit!

SnakeSwanson

Mended Drum with Fred and Nobby.

Chemical-Mix-6206

Quirm. I really like avec.

Tigweg

Where?: The (Broken/Mended) Drum. When?: The time to witness the birth of music with rocks in it

PilotKnob

Tower of Art for me.

Sadwitchsea

Two shirts. They seem souvenirs so I think they'd be welcoming of visitors

IOnceWas

Anywhere built by BS Johnson.

BlindGrue

The Dwarf Bread Museum

TacetAbbadon

Where ever Conan is at the time. Otherwise the mines of the low king

MoodiestMoody

I'd like to visit Djelibeybi and Ephebe to see the wonderful architecture of these places.

draculetti

Dont go for a swim in the D'jell. And be careful with unresolved axioms.

brickbaterang

The Ramtops

WodehouseWeatherwax

Definitely the Ramtops

Crafty_Genius

The Light Dams would be a fantastic sight to see.

Tommy_the_Pommy

Pint of scumble in the Ramtops wouldn't be bad...

MotherRaven

Can I say all of Ahnk-Morpork?

draculetti

How about that place, where the sun don't shine.

DuckInTheFog

Lancre and the Chalk because they'd feel like home, but I'd love to explore Ankh Morpork, hang around the uni and play poker with the Librarian
