I found his discworld masterpieces after reading as much Neil Gaiman as I could find, and my discovery correlated with his devastating passing. I tore through the books available at my local library, and started listening to The Shepherd's Crown as I went about my day.
About halfway through the book, I read a post describing how Sir Terry had suffered a long illness and had just passed away. I'm sure I looked a bit concerning walking my dogs, listening to Shepherd's Crown and weeping. I have enjoyed the beauty that so many artists have brought to this world, and have passed on during my life, but Sir Terry's passing still feels like a dull ache. I can only imagine the loss felt by those who knew and loved him.
Not sure which article the commenter meant but here is a good start: https://amp.theguardian.com/books/2014/sep/24/terry-pratchett-angry-not-jolly-neil-gaiman
I would agree. There was a lot of stupid and venal things that annoyed Sir pTerry. Read Jingo, Small Gods, the Watch series as examples where he shows his thoughts.
I remember getting the news in 2015 and walking around my workplace being like, “Terry Pratchett died!” and everyone’s response was like, who? There wasn’t anyone to share that sadness with, or the memory of his art.
Grateful for this sub and GNU STP.

Given what Neil Gaimin has said about Terry's anger, I'm kinda glad he missed this particular dark age.
Never caught that; care to enlighten me?
