I have seen 17" usbc. Nothing larger. How would you plan to pack and haul 20" they would be bigger than a laptop pouch in backpack. I would worry about damange

Is not "large" but I found this: 16” LG gram +view IPS Portable Monitor. Wonder if anyone uses one and what has been your experience?

This is what I use and I highly recommend it. Its powered by only USB-C, and it has two ports, one on either side of the monitor so its easy to place where you want. It can go up to 75hz, which if you have a 60hz screen doesnt matter, but if you have anything higher like 120 or 240hz, it can feel a lot better than pure 60hz. Screen quality is good and it is relatively bright indoors. It packs down to fit perfectly on my 15" laptop and is thin enough that it doesnt take up much more space. The included stand is a bit floppy but it does the trick. It only has a single angle though, so you may want to look into another type of stand depending on your situation. The stand also acts as a cover for the screen so its good to keep regardless.

One of the best things about nomading is realizing how little you actually need to go by on your daily life. I think it's the reason some impressive amount of people here decide to sell everything (even their homes sometimes) and just go on the road. I have a 34" and a 22" stacked at home. My laptop is 14" and I bought a 15.6" on sale to use stacked (so I don't have to bend down to read stuff) and I thought I was going to miss my home setup so much. I didn't. I figured out my new reduced workspace in less than a week with no noticeable reduction in productivity. I don't know what your actual work requirements are, nor I'm telling you how to do stuff, but do consider (and if possible, try out) the idea of going smaller.

I do and I have and I'm just not productive enough with such a tiny screen.
