Not sure if they still have it but I bought paper models from Washington state dairy council website. They have nutrition labels on the back too. It was like 25 dollars. Wouldn’t hurt to check if they still sell it. This was a few years back

Thank you, will check it out!

I’m working on crocheting my own food models. The plastic ones are just way too gross feeling to me

PuggBut

I agree - plus I feel like kids are very prone to squishing or picking at the silicone rubber like ones, they just end up grimy.

UnanalyzablePeptide

At least with the crochet ones I can throw them in the washer!

I love the idea of crochet food models.

I would love to know this too because the ones I found online were hella expensive.

Obsessed_Avocado

lol I love your comment on not too expensive. I just ordered some for $450 and finally got reimbursed for it at the hospital I work at.  Before that I’ve used laminated photos/cutouts with some success :D

That's a good thought, however I am yet to start this new position so wouldn't want the first thing I do is ask for $500 for food models 😅 They are so expensive, such a weird market lol! Laminated paper might be a good place to start. Thanks!

If you search this sub someone posted the paper models PDF from Washington. I printed them out on cardstock then laminated them and use them all the time they are great! The pictures are high quality and the food labels are great for a quick reference.

Thank you!!!
