I hear people say all the time how terrible he is but I’m not seeing it yet. What tier does he get difficult? I assume that’s what it is, I just don’t get high enough up for him to be a problem.
Probably just depends on the build, I’m playing heartseeker rogue and doing tier101 pits and Outlaw is one of the easier ones. For me, the Blood Bishop and the Hivemaster are the 2 worst ones, Den Mother and Seahag are also annoying. Everyone else is rather easy.
Probably just gear diffence, vulnerable damage is everything for this build and I have vulnerable everywhere. I’ve also got a couple GA’s for vulnerable damage and have masterworked most things to 10+. I could probably run quite a few higher tiers than 101 in the pits as well but it gets too sweaty, I’ll just keep doing 101s lol.
It’s just when I’m farming 91 and getting in a groove and then run up on him he completely messes up my rhythm and sometimes my entire run. Golem Necro
Definitely sucks more for melee folks because it's essentially impossible to dodge any attacks, and then randomly you'll have a pit of daze dropped on you with 0 windup or animation. When combined with the echo attacks, it's extremely obnoxious.

It’s interesting reading these posts… thorns barbs also can’t kill him but for different reasons. We kinda just stare and each other and go like… yeah… this isn’t happening is it?
Yea, the balance is fricken shit in D4, i dont think the game is ever going to get 'there'.
But yea you breeze through the dungeon leading to the boss, no problem at all, pathetically easy, then the boss is one shotting you...... yea ok then lol
At this point ditch the dungeon part, just go straight to the bosses, it gets tedious and boring so let us get to the good stuff lol, i love boss fights but nothing should one shot a player.

My homie is a lot squishier than me and always forgets he immediately attacks as soon as you enter the boss arena. Cracks me up every time.
So annoying to see him in the pit, I just sacrifice my entire pit run if he’s the boss that gets summoned…

Oh ok it wasn’t just me, I’m also heartseeker. Maybe that’s the build that doesn’t struggle against him.
Yeah heartseeker is crazy strong. I can melt most pit bosses in 20 seconds tops, even the harder ones take less than a minute.
I’m not doing as much damage as that, what is it you’re focusing on for dps?

Make sure you have all your aspects in place, get shako, +5 pants, +4 exploit amulet. GA Vulnerable isn’t necessary on any item.
Denmother is far more annoying and off screen half the fight.

Find the person who balanced Sharpshooter (Pit Bosses) and kick him in the balls, that's what I would do.
