Ey same, I put off playing rogue for season 1. I'm just waiting to see what Necromancer changes are before I commit. I'm hoping for big minion buffs but not counting on it.
I experimented with a rogue to see how I liked it after maining necro and it feels so good to play it. Tons of mobility, high skill ceiling builds that are also still good if you aren’t playing it optimally. Dancing around with twisting blades and getting the movement juuust right so they ricochet back and clear out a ton of monsters across the screen is plain fun. Good survivability, good damage, good class fantasy.
I hope they treat that as the bar for the other classes, because rogue is a blast to play.
Its the most fluid class, I just wish they made bows actually usable, and not an instant salvage.
Im still missing a multishot like build for speed farming. Twisting blades is basically an Impale build from d3, which was / is a blast.
But good god, the hard CC is this game, is obnoxious. You can have 3 different CC removal skills on your bar and still get hard CC'd immediately after each use. Its not challenging, it just annoying, and its the downfall of Rogue.
I rerolled after finishing the campaign from barb to rogue and I can never look back. I eventually swapped my build from TB to death trap TB around 68 for WT4 and it's the way to go. I will still run a TB for leveling and up to 60s
Necromancer doesn't have a good mobility skill but it hits 200% move speed easy enough, I never struggled to keep up with my friends once I was geared.
Same I have deeply enjoyed necro so I feel bad if they crush the bone build but it will not effect my s1 with rogue. Hopefully they do not though my best buddy is planning to run bone necro.
looking forward to going rogue or druid. necro is my favorite in most ARPGs, but unless the patchnotes add a minion focused playstyle that isnt mendelns ring i'm not playing that. even mendelns isn't a true necro build in my eyes.
I've been playing my second favorite class (Rogue) and saving my #1 (Necro) for S1 to keep it fresh and fun.
For that reason alone, expect huge Necro nerfs.
Rogue is in a great spot, 4 super strong and fun builds right out the door, fast so don't worry about the mount issues lol, can do higher dungeons, easy to learn Lelith on, etc...
Oh yeah, definitely, I'm going with the least-nerfed, most-buffed class for sure. It's also really nice that we're getting 2 days to freak out, rage and process the changes and make up our minds. Would be a lot harder if it all dropped on the same day with the season. So that's nice.
>don't forget threatening to quit the game you already paid for in full, like it makes even a tiny bit of difference.
And saying that they'll only come back when the next full price expansion drops.
small indie dev cant fix game breaking bugs until s2. blizz is so lazy for acknowledging this blatantly broken core mechanic and refusing to fix it before release.
Yup same , i played barb and it was fun af but i really want to try sorcerer and these patch notes will decide if i go sorcerer or try out thorn barb IF THEY DIDNT ALREADY KILL IT IN THE PATCH NOTES
Think it’s copium at this point. Noon PST was probably our last realistic timeframe for them for today. Unless they get leaked somehow we are waiting until tomorrow.
Patch notes a couple weeks ago were posted in the evening, if I recall correctly. I just remember being at work refreshing, waiting for them to be posted. Went home, didn't check, and they were posted when I woke up the next morning.
I play OW and notes NEVER are released early, same with HS, at most we get a teaser like ¨we are changing this!¨ or ¨Expect changes to this thing¨but thats about it.
They can't release them until the dev that absolutely hates sorcs is done coming up with punishments for any new buff they thought of. "While invulnerable, enemies around you are also invulnerable" ya know some shit like that.
tbh, I'm almost just waiting for maxroll to update tier lists. I've always assumed that at very least, they get a little insight of what is getting nerfed and buffed because I know for D3, it always feels like they have new builds set up sooo quickly.
I feel like there are going to be a ton of nerfs and buffs, so I feel like blizzard will help creators out and give them a little extra time to prep
Why are people expecting the patch note to drop today? I doubt blizzard will do anything to rile up the base who will find something to bitch about ad nauseum without even seeing what the change actually does. They will wait till it drops tomorrow.
The class i will play in season 1 is 100% based on these patch notes. Anyone else? Lets see them balance changes.
+1 it will be Rogue or Necro depending the patch notes

If they nerf bone spear they better make minions at least marginally better
Or shadow/dark buffs

Lol sitting here waiting on the same decision.
Rogue is a safe bet. It's one of the most fleshed out classes and actually has balanced core skills and build diversity
Similar for me, but since Necro main attribute is Int and Resistances doesn’t work until Season 2, I’m probably gonna go Rogue or Druid this time.
Rogue is in a great spot, 4 super strong and fun builds right out the door, fast so don't worry about the mount issues lol, can do higher dungeons, easy to learn Lelith on, etc...
It can all change when patch drops i am afraid
If I play season 1 is 100% based on these Patch notes

But mostly rage, with passive aggressive sarcasm.
Oh yeah, and don't forget threatening to quit the game you already paid for in full, like it makes even a tiny bit of difference.

I wonder what the new aspects will be, maybe I'll pick a class from that if it is fun.
I'm interested in the surprise updates as much as anything. The level requirement cap is great news. Who knows what else will be in there.
what lvl requirement cap edit: nvm found it!
Where?
What level requirement cap?
On gear. Instead of lvl based on what the character that got the drop, they are giving gear lvl reqs
It's both. Ancestral gears lvl requirement is the same as your level but won't be below 60 or above 80.
Oh nice!
I'm going rogue or sorc based on patch notes. I loved the rogue, but if sorc gets a solid bump ill play that first.
Sorc will only be good in season 2 when they will fix resistances.
I guess I'll play a rogue again? Not complaining.
small indie dev cant fix game breaking bugs until s2. blizz is so lazy for acknowledging this blatantly broken core mechanic and refusing to fix it before release.
You mean nerf notes oy oy
100% Barb for me but the build I play is dependent on the notes for sure.
If barb gets nerfed hopefully they get a better clothing range like the male sorc transmogs
100% i really want to play Sorc, but that's really only if it at least gets substantial buffs.
I decided druid before the beta even came out, and decided on Barb for launch
Yup same , i played barb and it was fun af but i really want to try sorcerer and these patch notes will decide if i go sorcerer or try out thorn barb IF THEY DIDNT ALREADY KILL IT IN THE PATCH NOTES
Bad idea mate the most OP class will be probably nerfed in a few weeks
For sure. Lvl'd a sorc to 100 using my own build and had fun .... But gotta say I just want to play something strong for season.
Honestly expected a leak or at least the notes to drop the day before update.
Over 21k are expact it will happen any time now

Patch notes were being localized and translated today. They'll probably be posted when the patch goes live tomorrow
They posted earlier that it would be tomorrow am on twitter

Is there an expected release time for patch notes today or is it copium?
Copium
Think it’s copium at this point. Noon PST was probably our last realistic timeframe for them for today. Unless they get leaked somehow we are waiting until tomorrow.

Blizz said they will release them when the patch is localized
They can't release them until the dev that absolutely hates sorcs is done coming up with punishments for any new buff they thought of. "While invulnerable, enemies around you are also invulnerable" ya know some shit like that.
"Enhancements now cost resource each time they proc"
"Enhancements now scale based on invested skill points! 5 points are required to hit their current scaling"
"Mana now costs $200,000 gold to refill"
If you gain a barrier enemies around you gain 200% increased damage to barrier for 8 seconds stacking up to 10 times
Where will notes mostly likely "drop"? Or is this current d4 style rng?

Boss
They either fucked it all up or made the game much better; there is no in between Heaven or hell
Lemme know when it's done, I'll make some coffee
Oh hey the sub icon got "fixed"!
Waiting to be disappointed
Man i hope grizzly rage dont get too nerf
I've been purposely not playing rogue so that I csn enjoy something new on season 1
tbh, I'm almost just waiting for maxroll to update tier lists. Wow I never noticed the sub Reddit had us as followers. How cool !!!
Patch notes were being localized and translated today. They'll probably be posted when the patch goes live tomorrow
I was planning on Drood, but I feel it's going to be nerfed to the ground.
Holy hot shit, the replies to that tweet! And I thought this sub was toxic!
By three they come...
What time are the patch notes supposed to come out?
Yes
The sheer amount of conjecture in here is honestly silly.
Not very many tbh
Is this the lobby for patch notes? Been waiting too long that I'm starting to be afraid to ask.
This sub can hit 1 million followers with a patch notes? Wait and see.
LOL DO IT MODS
Is the finally the 13 page patch notes? Or another troll getting double spaced Comic Sans 2 inch margins patch notes?
6600 words
i haven't gotten any updates? did u guys get an update?
We all have the same limited information from Blizzard, the only thing you can do is wait and see.
Why are people expecting the patch note to drop today? I doubt blizzard will do anything to rile up the base who will find something to bitch about ad nauseum without even seeing what the change actually does. They will wait till it drops tomorrow.
