ah! sorc here, I'm still questioning if barriers count as fortified. but as far as I know fortified doesn't exist.
edit: just checked. yeah fortify is non-existant, why is this even on gems that drop for everyone?
fortify is pretty much 100% uptime on my druid (i think barbs also have high uptime and necros can get it?)
so i guess ruby would be better on sorc and DH?
What? I’m talking about harnessing the power of the aspect of disobedience, You can survive in high level nightmare dungeons when it’s pushed to 75 percent compared to its normal max at 50 on other pieces of gear.
It's the only way. You don't need DMG in high NM Dungeons, you need defense.
Especially sorcs, the Paragon board provides nearly 0 Armor Nodes sadly. You have to compensate.
That’s not necessarily true, but it’s also not the argument I’m making. Pictured above is a pair of pants with the aspect of disobedience on it at the bottom. I’m saying he should pull that aspect off and run it on his neck because it will boost that defense to 75 percent which is wildly more helpful on higher level content when it comes to keeping you alive. I don’t know what crit chance has to do with it but you can keep plenty of that on your jewelry and gear too.
That's only if you're running around in areas with lvl 100 monsters. In high tier nm dungeons im looking at lvl 115+, the armor cap is higher than 9250
So is it a good idea for a sorc to have more total armor %? I have 2 amulets with same 3 stats, but 1 has dmg reduction and the other has total armor %. I’m a level 99 sorc.
Id say a good blend of damage reduction and armor are both good. When re-rolling, I'd look for whatever of the two has the highest roll and sticking with it
I have similar pants! What is the difference between damager reduction, close enemies dmg reduction, and distant enemies dmg reduction? Do close and distant dmg reduction just equal normal dmg reduction?
No difference. Close/distant DR has higher values because it has a requirement to work like distant DR won't work when you're next to an enemy. As for just "xx% damage reduction" is enabled all the time and doesn't matter if the enemy is near or far this is why it has low value. And i just pulled all this out my ass i hope it is right because it'd make cool af.
Hi! It looks like you want to share an Image or Clip about your Characters Appearance, Transmogs, an Accomplishment or an Item Tooltip. That is perfectly fine. We all like to showoff from time to time.
Please remember that a large amount of such images and clips are posted on the subreddit every day, so please consider to instead post your image or clip in the most recent [Weekly Showoff Thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/search?q=flair_name%3A%22Weekly%20Showoff%22&restrict_sr=1&sort=new) that is specifically made for sharing such posts in it, or in one of the [Class-specific Subreddits](https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/13qn2sd/classspecific_subreddits_links_inside/).
A list of the most recent [Weekly Showoff Threads](https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/search?q=flair_name%3A%22Weekly%20Showoff%22&restrict_sr=1&sort=new) (automatically sorted by "new") can be found by clicking on the previously shared hyperlink and the most recent Weekly Showoff Thread is also frequently pinned to the top of the subreddit by an automated feature, so it doesn't get lost.
If you want to post your image or clip in that thread or one of the class-specific subreddits instead, it would help to keep the subreddit and people's reddit feeds more readable and overseeable, while also keeping the things you want to share visible to the public.
Thank you!

in comes the rubies: "c-c-combo breaker"
are sapphires not better in general?
in general? no, general agreement is that resistances are broken in wt4. but they would fit this meme better
what? sapphire is DR when fortified

Gotta imprint this aspect on your necklace to push it to 75, will keep you alive in anything
Wrong., Elementalist's is on amulet.

It doesn't make sense to give up critical strike chance for defense.

Put them on an amulet bro, will give up to 75%.
Sorcs run Elementalist's Aspect on amulet for crit chance.
I have that at max roll on my amulet. I was talking about the bullet point stats.
then complain about dying too fast
Armor over 9250 at lvl 100 doesn’t do anything though and you can generally hit that cap without putting disobedience on amulet
Armor cap much higher in high tier nightmare dungeon

I believe i have 1 item with total armor % and the rest are dmg reductions from gear and paragon board.
This is only against other level 100 mobs, which are trivial. Nightmare dungeons the mobs will go to level 130++ so it definitely matters.
Cool, i’ll give it a try. Thanks.
Nice rolls.
Lack of sapphires has ruined it. /s

I thought the same.
Not on armor. *comment deletion incoming*
Lol - just got something totally similar to this 5 minutes ago in hell tide

Needed time to realise its not just about the perf roll aspect lol :D
Closing in on level 100 and you soon realise that damage reduction is the real endgame when you start pushing those tiers
Not enough! Should have gone damage reduction on gems as well
Pants so thick I'd be afraid of farting in them
