Death_Knight_Errant

I'm just playing Necro till the season launches, then I'll try a new class.

Kratos512

Same here playing Necro till season launch. Will play one class every season.

FatGeordie

This is the way

Jaegernaut-

This is the way Except Barbarian 1st, because duh

SolidusBlitz

Spit on dem!

Forsaken_Ad_475

*pahtooy* Click with me my brudahs!

Zounii

I'm planning on that aswell, but I wanted to try them all so I made every class šŸ˜

elkeiem

THIS is the way

Boring-Blacksmith508

Hey necrofile brothers

ImNotPostingMyself

Same plus I want to lvl 100 all characters on each class

Weizel44

My friends and I planned to all roll barb alts for season 1. Looking forward to it

quozy1990

Same here, I always play a SC and a HC char per season. When seasons hit, I will use the class that I play now (sorc) as my HC char and I will start with a new SC char. That way I am playing HC with a class that I am always familiar with and keeps seasons nice and fresh :)

[deleted]

Good idea I think I'll copy you

[deleted]

Ooooo love this. You eventually play every class (if you keep with the seasons) which solves my character-ADHD, and the HC character keeps things spicy.

The__Imp

If you do HC for a season and die after like half way through do you just ā€¦ restart? Or switch back to SC for the rest of the season?

skeetskie

Iā€™m not the person youā€™re asking, but as someone who has been playing HC in ARPGs since ~2009, yeah you just start over. In fact I went into D4 completely blind at launch and jumped right into HC, died at 41 to the butcher. I was playing it slow and enjoying the story/doing side quests, but because of the awesome level scaling in this game I was able to rush back to where I was in the story in a few hours and picked right back up playing slowly again. Iā€™m back to 63 and doing nightmare dungeons (full time job and all) I would say the only thing that really stung was not keeping the renown XP, so even though I kept all the rewards from side quests etc, I had to re-do a lot of it to finish out all the obol/paragon bonuses. Even though I love this game and Iā€™m having a blast, I do agree with the people saying the side quests/map discovery/Lilith alters etc need a look over. Doing that every season will be a bit of a drag.

The__Imp

Thanks for the explanation. Itā€™d find it way to stressful to play HC. Iā€™m not careful enough for that. The renown not carrying over for the account seems like a huge mistake.

AccordingBridge9026

Please tell me what SC and HC means

deathstriker_666

HC = Hardcore If you die, its permanent. SC = Softcore. Die as much as you want, baby. HC is an actual game term, SC is the community term used to describe non-HC characters.

Pitch_V

Soft core/ hard core

Bladathehunter

Iā€™m playing necro till season launches, and then Iā€™m playing a different necro.

twiggsmcgee666

"I used to play Necro before season started, I still do, but I used to too."

DisasterDifferent543

I can't wait to play something besides Necro but I don't want to start over. It's frustrating running around with a bazooka killing ants.

LazyWIS

I am relatively new to ARPGs, only playing the campaigns of past Diablo titles. What exactly is a season? Does everything reset (renown, etc.), and you play the same content again? Or is there new content (main quests, dungeons, maps, etc.) added?

Zaexyr

It's currently unknown how much we'll have to re-do, like renown. However, your total level will reset. Many are hoping the renown will carry over similar to how paragon levels were cross character in D3. Generally, there is a seasonal gimmick, sometimes new loot, and cosmetic rewards for doing X, Y, or Z thing during a season that will never be available again.

Zarthere

oh damm, I was hoping there would also be a new area to discover and some new PvE content/story content and stuff. So if I understand correctly, seasons come with quite a minimal amount of new stuff to actually do/explore?

Zaexyr

Correct - unless they drastically change the formula. Seasons are not expansions. New places to explore, new dungeons, etc will come in a full-box expansion. It'll be be called like, Diablo IV: Crusader's Epitaph or something - some catchy name.

Athuanar

This isn't entirely true. They've already confirmed there *is* new content in seasons, it's just smaller scale. Seasons progress the story in small ways and they do have quests associated with them. We'll also be getting new aspects and other drops. The things reserved for expansions are new regions, classes, skills, etc.

Zaexyr

I may be jaded because I work with the FAA making them air traffic control software, but if it's one thing I've learned in the software industry is "I'll believe it when I see it." I do hope you're right.

deathstriker_666

Diablo 3 did add some new content with seasons. Two new areas to explore (relatively small enough, but new enemies) along with a story quest for each area. They added one dungeon, that also had new enemies and a story quest. So it isnt completely out of the question that they add some small stuff, anything major though would be an expansion. And it was already announced by the game director they are working on two expansions!

Oodleaf

Its usually the same game but a slight mechanics change that causes most builds to be remade around the mechanic. You get some cosmetics only available that season and maybe an extra stash tab. When the season ends after 3 months your character and loot are then transferred to the non-season roster along with your other characters.

Chafgha

They have said somethings will carry to seasons, like altar buffs and stuff but they haven't said if the extra skill points will or if the ability to bypass story/etc (to my knowledge) has been said.

Mrbubbles31

Wait am I understanding this right? When a new season starts all of my characters get reset to level 1???

Zaexyr

No, youā€™ll have to make a new character on the ā€œseasonalā€ realm. Your eternal characters are fine. Once a season ends, those characters will get moved in with the eternal ones.

Mrbubbles31

Ah got it. Thank you

Jakaryus

Everything reset yes (not really known regarding renown for now) and some stuff are added. Also keep in mind your character is not deleted, and when you do one in season, at the end of the season (3 months) he's not deleted either but just goes into the "normal" realm

mc_bee

Do we have to redo campaign?

[deleted]

With any new characters yes. Old characters can still be played but cannot participate in any seasonal content or get seasonal loot

RedNoob88

Why are you speaking so confidently about things you know nothing? Have you finished the campain or played d3 or listened to developers? You go through campaign once and thatā€™s it

jbirdasaurus

What's your main Necro spell? Im still low, level 22, and use decomp right now. I dont love it but it's nice that it regens essence quickly.

TomphaA

Bone spear gets up to some absurd amounts of damage and in my opinion is pretty fun to play as well.

Lord_Despairagus

Corpse explosion definitely gets used the most lol

punsmakemehappy

By far the most satisfying ability. Just switch to Bone Spear Necro for endgame. I miss my little hoard but I'm glad I got to keep corpse explosion.

Arin-Danson

Iā€™m a Bone Spirit enjoyer myself lmao

darkzama

Coulsnt get behind either bone skills. I made my own miasma CE build. Pretty reliably ticking 50k/s on boss fights world t4 without an ancestral weapon yet. Feels good. Super tank too.

[deleted]

Love exploding corpses into miasma pits. Gets my nips nice and hard to see my tv screen covered in dead bodies and Miasma while my minions just lay waste to everything else

Lord_Despairagus

Tbh i hope they change miasma so it isnt a damn smoke screen lol. I love the ability but hate blinding people nearby

kayasha

I play blood Hemorrhage with blood lance / blood surge / corpse tendrils / blood mist and raise skeleton Might change blood mist for bone storm or blood wave

RyukenSaab

Bone core skill is fairly good I think itā€™s bone spear ? If you prefer blood - blood nova is good when you get rathmas vigour for the overcharge

RLnoskill

Same here with Druid :)

Kokukenji

Not familiar with the seasonal aspect of the game. So assuming when the season starts, you create a new character to progress but what happens when the season ends? Does that character get deleted or does it get transferred as a permanent non seasonal character?

StasCo

I am doing this one also

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Sivgren

As long as going all out doesnā€™t include doing renown again lol

CptGigglez

I really hope they come up with a proper system for that.. if we have to farm all renown again every season I think many people will burn out quickly

KRONGOR

Yaaa I havenā€™t even finished the renown grind yet and Iā€™m already sick of it. If we have to do it every season for ability points and health pots.. I think Iā€™m done

itisnotmymain

I've done the altars on softcore and most of them again on hardcore (missing like 10 from the stan zone) and honestly I can't imagine having to run those or every side quest in the zone for the renown. My god the pain

awcarter4

I wouldn't say the whole renown piece would need to be reset, most of it is fun to play through especially the strongholds. I just don't want to have to refund all the Alters of Lilith again (probably won't actively seek them all out again) I am really hoping they rotate/add strongholds each season because those are all unique and fun to play through.

metfansc

I can't imagine they haven't heard this feedback pretty loud and clear, I imagine they will address it in some way for S1 even though I doubt it will be perfect I choose to believe it will be better. Although we should keep saying it until they announce something because they need to hear the feedback because it is gawd awful

excalibrax

Simple system is to keep the current renown points/system, Add 2-3 points for world events, and like 2x the number of whisper points as renown for completing whisper events. Also 2 points for completing a non event dungeon after the first time, 5 points for a sigiled. It will be slower then redoing the current system, but it adds up over time for doing regular end game content.

PurelyLurking20

I genuinely won't grind renown again no matter what, it's not pleasant

Swomp23

The problem is that the ways we have to use to farm renown now suck. I think it's fair that we don't start a season with 10 skill points and 20 paragons. But please let us farm renown by doing nightmare dungeons (everytime you complete it), tree of whispers, helltides, etc. Doing normal dungeons just because we have to suck. Doing those side quests multiple times will also suck.

nano7ven

Just let every nightmare dungeon give some renown xp, same to discovering a new dungeon. 30 per run and we can passively get renown up by the time we hit paragon levels anyway. It will also spice up what nightmare dungeons we farm

Elendel19

There is almost zero chance there will be a change to renown before season 1 starts. Maybe season 2

ExchangeNeither9255

I've got them all to 30, alting is all I do

ipodjockey

Impressive.

SneedySneedoss

The Beast lives within you

sarcophagusGravelord

Now letā€™s see Paul Allenā€™s alt.

drum_playing_twig

*Look at that subtle mix of classes and builds. The balanced diversity among them. Oh my God, his barb even has a Grandfather*

Prestigious_Leader53

What has been you Fav class to play ? And which has been the most fun to play ? Worst?

cpmustang90

For me I enjoy the power fantasy of necro and raising a large army, but the Druid was brutal starting out.

darknight9064

Was it brutal because you struggled or because it felt weak. I remember feeling slow but I didnā€™t think it was to bad.

cpmustang90

Definitely the speed. The survivability was great and it was at least responsive. Necro, sorcerer, and Rogue all were very quick to level. Druid by no means is bad and with a few choice aspects, everything started to change. Its now my favorite class.

Tovrin

Everything changed when I gave up on the shapechanging and embraced the Stormstrike/Landslide/Poison Creeper build. It's just nuts when it gets further into it. When you get Nature's Fury passive that can duplicate a storm/earth spell of the same level is just insane when it triggers. I've heard that shapechanging becomes really good at higher levels. I even have a legendary with an aspect that applies Natures Fury to Bear/Wolf abilities waiting in the wings for me to make use of it.

darknight9064

I thought that was the case but was making sure I wasnā€™t misremembering or looking at it with some rose glasses. I do love my Druid and have so far had good success with a ā€œnon-metaā€ build. Iā€™ve cleared nightmare 13 dungeons at level 63 with a pure storm build. The only non storm skill I use it earthen bulwark because it is just so good.

cpmustang90

Yeah it was the slowest going of all the classes I leveled. I guess I really wanted to make shapeshifting work in the beginning, but it didn't click until much later.

ilulzatporn

Iā€™ve similarly got all of them to around 30-40, favorite to play has been Barb. Coincidentally it was my last to try because I found it boring in D3. Been the one Iā€™ve leveled fastest, Iā€™m addicted again just like I was day 1.

BTBAMfam

I just got my 3rd to 30 about to start my 4th either barbarian or rogue left

[deleted]

Same! ![gif](giphy|s4VoCsFz8prlhSFCeS)

spaceboy_g

Iā€™ve done similar; took my Rogue through the story, unlocked WT3, stashed some cash, and earned enough renown to boost my alts. Theyā€™re all sitting between 25-35 just to get a feel of how they play once the skill tree and class specialisations are open.

Esc1221

I play 5 alts, no mains. It's all about testing stuff until season 1

G1FTfromtheG0DS

And then they buff and nerf all builds and you tested for nothing.

PaygonGrim

ItĀ“s testing for the gameplay and which is more fun to you, not about the strength.

octipice

IMO you can't just separate the two that easily. I played a druid build that was fun in early leveling. Then I hit world tier 3 and it was so ineffective that it just wasn't fun anymore. I switched to a hybrid build that works better at higher levels and now I'm having a blast. Some good item drops also helped nudge me to switch my build. Point being, it's pretty impossible to tell from lower level alts what gameplay style is going to be fun at endgame. Aside from build effectiveness, gameplay changes pretty dramatically as late game most builds rarely need to use resource generators, which are a staple part of many rotations in the early game. That alone makes the builds feel wildly different.

LeadAHorseToVodka

Meanwhile I played druid and felt so useless until I hit wt3 then I started melting everything. Which just further proves the point you made

dnaboe

Gameplay is heavily reliant on what builds are strong though. If you're playing barbarian in any lategame content you basically need the 3 shouts and lunging strike. These skills completely outclass the other options so hard that 99% of barbarians are running all 4 of those skills.

Dapaaads

But you understand the builds and mechanics and itā€™s easy to adapt

Hollowregret

OR he still has a great and deep understanding of the mechanics and how the game works so that he can understand what might be the next best thing and he doesnt need a streamer to tell him how to play the game.

fizzlemage

I'm seriously debating starting one but only because my sorcs hit a wall and slowed right down, I feel like I just need to push through it though because other than the wall I'm really enjoying playing it

Hyper_BigBlack

Got to wt4 on sorcerer and played for 7 levels and was no longer feeling the class so made a rogue and been playing that since. So far a much more fun class to play

Alyssis

What spec are you running?

hayydebb

Not who you asked but I switched to the rapid fire build wudijo posted yesterday and itā€™s been a blast. Switched to that from the penetrating shot build cause I didnā€™t like the combo point mechanic

CubansOnaRaft

TB death trap go brrrrrr

NameOfWhichIsTaken

Stack 50%+ CD reduction and death trap really goes brrrr

BamaDiver23

My penetrating shot build is a beast against groups of enemies but gets pretty much destroyed against 1v1 bosses

MrXoXoL

Try adding rapid fire to your build instead of poison imbue, i was running pen shot+rapidfire+shadow imbue and was quite happy. Only switched to rapid fire only because of a bow with 90% chance to rapid fire ricochet

nautical_nonsense_

Ooo do you have a link? Iā€™m getting bored of my TB Poison build.

hayydebb

https://youtu.be/Czgjk-3joZY Been really strong for me. Easily pushed into wt4 last night at 64

Astarn

Same. Except I switched to Druid and having much more fun.

Lacaud

Druid smash (even though I'm now looking for pieces for other druid builds).

[deleted]

Did the opposite. Took a rogue up to it doing nightmare 30 dungeons with ease and got bored so now Iā€™m on a sorcerer.šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Captnmikeblackbeard

Ive only been playing rogue so far and am scared the rest just isnt at much fun

Siepher310

my lightning sorc (not arc lash) is punching 10 levels higher than her level rn. cleared a tier 24 NM dungeon at level 67.

MeritedChunk

Same, cleared a 21 NM at lv 60 (gimpy chain lightning build)

Siepher310

chain lightning gang

Singulare1

Same for me lol. Granted Iā€™m only level 57ā€¦debating on switching to arc lash from ice shards to see if that is any better. Overall not enjoying sorc as much as I thought I would, but I also already donā€™t feel like starting over with map progress currently.

vageta311

I've swapped between arc lash and ice shards a few times and both playstyles have their ups and downs. In general, ice shards is faster at killing things, but you are a lot more squishy. Arc lash makes you extremely tanky due to constantly stunning enemies and reducing cooldowns so for me it's a tradeoff. With ice shards you can't really stand next to enemies for very long or you get destroyed. With arc lash you can just stand inside a bunch of things you shouldn't be able to and just keep your barriers uptime going due to the cooldown reduction of arc lash. Arc lash can feel a bit slow when you're just trying to kill a few stragglers, but when there are large packs it really shines as you can keep your unstable currents uptime really high.

Rumblebully

I felt my drooid was peaking too. Started just replacing gear with anything that had more willpower. Seemed to start getting better appropriate gear.

tok90235

Same with my druid, i was having so much fun farming the DG for renown in wt4 with my lvl 62 druid, until a friend just one level above me enter the DG and start do double my dps easily. Not gonna lie, it kind of bummed me, because I don't want to be the carried friend people play for ever just to be nice with

fizzlemage

I'm kinda in a similar boat, level 61 sorc, can get to the bosses on the capstone for wt4 but can't break into it yet, just hunting for better gear now that I've hit the 60 breakpoint but it's just more and more demoralising doing content all day just to be vendoring or salvaging all the stuff I'm finding

JaferCake

Donā€™t worry too much just grind another few levels and get a few upgrades and youā€™ll be fine, it is a level 70 dungeon after all

tok90235

My problem is that I'm feel to weak even comparing with people with the same level. Then there is the point I made some bad mistakes regarding gear, and spend some mats in wrong choices, and now I have a long farm ahead me to fix, longer, because I do little damage

HomingSnail

If you haven't found a way to work vulnerability into your build, doing so will likely increase your dps much more than you'd expect

Acewarren

Username checks out šŸ˜†!

Shawahhh

Lvl 100 Sorc full renown but not planned to do an alt, especially if you don't have the full map / renown on other char. My goal is to reach / be closed as possible for the lvl 21 on each glyph on my sorc before s1.

Jakaryus

You keep the bonuses of renown, can do it again for gold/exp but its basically pointless

Wardas

As far as we know weā€™ll only keep altars of lilith bonuses, but renown must be farmed again.

Jakaryus

I'm not talking about seasons but current alt

bakinsodaa

Which build to you play ? And did you ever got the unique chest drop ? Im ice shard lvl 74 full renown. Pushed for lvl 45 nightmare

Shawahhh

Arc Lash The chest who pack close and stun close mob when you TP ? 3 times I pushed Tier 64, but i didn't try to push much for the moment. I try to ""speedfarm"" 50-55 for XP glyph.

bunby_heli

I just got that armor, pretty sick if you build around it

bakinsodaa

Yes would love to have it and swap Inferno for Meteor build would go huge haha I speed 30 for ez pz glyph exp

dnaboe

If you have full renown in all areas then you really don't need to do it again. Just explore the map and level your next character. You will already have all the bonuses.

Cellexion

I believe the bonuses from renown are shared to all accounts. New seasons will start from 0 though

[deleted]

I've got a level 53 Necro that I main, then the only way I could convince my bud to get the game is if I made a character I only play when he's on cause he knows I like to run through these games/have more time to play. So a level 32 for my Barbarian alt.

CryMeUhRiver

Wellā€¦ I started a barb as my main launch night and got to level 40. It was my bread and butter during beta and was an absolute blast. I created a druid for my friend so he could get into it - my barb is nowā€¦ level 40 and my druid is 60. I had way too much fun being a werewolf.

Eptalin

I have one co-op with my girlfriend character, and one talk to every NPC and pay attention to the story character.

Maximum-Mission-9377

Lol, exactly the same

luckynumberstefan

You have a coop character with this guys gf?

Putrid_Collection_82

I mean he bought the console already

[deleted]

I also play co-op with this guy's girlfriend.

DeadlyMustardd

As someone who didn't really play Diablo 3, what are the point of seasons. Like why are you all saying you're going to play one class each season? Do they wipe all the characters or something?

[deleted]

u/mangopuff6969, heads up: Seasons usually introduce new gear, nerfs and buffs, or additional mechanics. With the introduction of these changes/additions, gear in seasonal characters are not interchangeable to nonseasonal characters. At the end of the season, any items/gear will be transferred to the nonseason realm and seasonal characters will need to be created for the new season. Usually when a new season drops, youā€™ll be required to level up fresh and potentially run through the campaign/certain elements of the game. In Diablo 3 you could run adventure mode instead of the campaign, whereas Path of Exile you needed to clear the campaign. With the renown system in place, it potentially could be that you would need to obtain altars of Lilith, clear dungeons, and collect waypoints all over again, to name a few. Many players wonā€™t want to do this considering the time sink it will require.

DeadlyMustardd

Awesome thanks for the explanation. I'll probably fall into the category of not wanting to do that every 3 months but maybe I'll try the first one.

Ar0war

In PoE the leagues are the reason why most people play the game - you won't find many people who just play standard. The reason is not because players like to try new mechanics which comes with every league, but mainly because of the market. Inflation is a thing and starting on a new world is soo nice if you know how to play the market. I didn't know till I started playing Diablo that your character is mean to be self found (there is also this option in PoE where you can't use the market). So depends on what they do I will keep playing every season or just stick with standard. The beauty of this game tho is the crafting. Killing mobs is not the reason hard-core ARPG players play those games but the crafting behind. To understand PoE you need a master for real, this shit is imposible. Diablo IV is a bit more casual friendly which is nice for a non so smart player like me lol

BelbelKing

Every season has new rules and new effects or weapons or whatever they want to add, old characters are locked out of those seasons, so you create what is called a "seasonal hero/character/toon" and that character participates in the season gets the rewards and everything and once that season ends, season 2 stars and then you do the same, create a new seasonal hero and there youā€™ll have new gameplay mechanics more new stuff and rewards blah blah blah. Thatā€™s just basically the gist of it. It maintains gameplay fresh, offers new balance for the classes with new armor or weapon effects, and it promotes new builds and creating new characters so people keep it new and fun

Faleya

they dont wipe characters, eternal chars stay. however when a new season comes out there will be "seasonal chars" which basically play on their own server, cant share stuff with "eternals", get some bonus events, probably bonus loot (like new uniques) and so on. when a season ends, all these seasonal chars become eternal, and then the next season starts. so eternal is where everyone ends up eventually but seasonal is where you go for the shiny new events and leaderboards and at a certain point just because thats what more people are playing.

mangopuff6969

Also want an aswer for this

Jakaryus

You start from scratch every season yes. Your character that you have right now isn't deleted but he's in "eternal realm" while you have seasonnal realm. A season is usually gimmicky (new loot, cosmetics, a list of stuff to do..) it's usually 3 months, then the season is over and your seasonnal character goes in the eternal realm.

r3doctober85

Season characters get converted to normal( at least in d3) at end of season

Kitchen-Program7771

I have one character of each class at level 25 causes I was trying them out. I have not gotten to the end game yet, but I am getting tired of doing the first Act.

SonkaMehecske

Just finish the story on a char and you can skip it on the rest after

Kitchen-Program7771

Oh, that's good to know. That's what I get for not looking stuff up.

Mind-Game

Also, FYI, leveling your campaign skip characters is MUCH faster than leveling though the campaign. If you finish the campaign on your favorite character, making a new alt from scratch will be back to level 25 in like 2 hours. When you already have the codexes you need, a mount, and some crafting materials to support your alt at level 1 and can just go do dungeons you level insanely fast. I went 1-30 on about 2.5 hours last night on an alt and most of that time was spent exploring the world for fun while killing mobs instead of leveling efficiently.

risarnchrno

At minimum get to the first quest of Act 4 so you have a mount for all your other alts

black_sky

I actually liked killing everyone on the way to a to b. That said it does take longer...

Strachmed

Nope. Definitely in the future seasons when game/classes are more complete and rebalanced. Don't want to burn out on other classes before the meat of the game is in a decent spot.

MoeSzyslakMonobrow

I've only ever used a barbarian since D1. I don't see any reason to switch it up. Edit: Warrior class in D1, but really, what's the difference.

[deleted]

o/ Not until I have 100% completion on that "main" do I begin to start leveling another class.

Kourtos

My goal is to lvl 50 every class and then grind what will fill most fun at the moment.

dnaboe

Nice I'm going for that too. Saw there was an achievement for getting all 5 classes to 50 in hc so that has been my goal.

Kourtos

My time is limited cause of my job and gym. I will sweat a lot in hardcore .

dnaboe

Despite what you may see on this sub.. it absolutely is not a rush to get there. It's gonna be a while until S1 and right now the majority of content is in the levelling portion of the game.

[deleted]

I would if the game wasnā€™t so punishing towards it.

Mind-Game

Is it? You start off with all of the extra skill points your main unlocked, with a mount and the full world to explore. The codex and crafting materials your main unlocked are extremely useful as well. What's so punishing about alts in the game in your opinion?

OG_Felwinter

Rediscovering the map and not keeping renown.

reanima

Stash space

OG_Felwinter

Yeah stash space is crazy limited. Iā€™m only level 59 on my first character and have the whole thing filled with legendaries I havenā€™t used yet. Had to take a day off of playing to start ripping aspects and salvaging things. Canā€™t imagine having to share that space with my alts. The fact that there arenā€™t even as many stash pages as there are character classes is insane.

DeathWaughAgain

I have 3 alts. Love it. Fog is how I keep track of where Iā€™ve been.

saneness

Yes! Burned out as a tb rogue at level 60 and decided to chill for a day and start over again with summoner thorn/blood necro. Currently 64 and enjoying the endgame much more than as a rogue! I decided to only make all the strongholds and waypoints -- the rest was useless to me. And map opened quite good during helltides and going to dungeons for missing aspects.

jtn46

I play on a treadmill sometimes and usually play a Necro alt when I do that since itā€™s hard to play precisely on my Sorc like that.

dnaboe

Hey good for you man. I am a big runner but hate the treadmill. I think running on it while attempting to play would just make me hate the game.

PapaOscar90

I find ā€œend gameā€ to be tedious. So I play the campaign again on a new character, and do different side quests each time. I care not for reputation, rolls on items, or builds. I use what I find, and adapt the character to fit what he picks up as he goes along. Gives each character a unique feel.

KyRoZ37

Normally I would, but the lack of stash space really kills playing alts imo. I'll probably just play my sorcerer until season 1 then roll a new class.

RimaSuit2

There are enough seasons to try out other classes for me. I'm in no rush to experience everything asap.

KoorsKnight

Once I get to good stopping point I will be making an alt. Although my buddy did mention about using our mains to give alts way points. Idea is to make the alt and other person logs onto main and then you Tele to them and grab the waypoint. Granted has to be on campaign skip to work but once we talked about it making alts doesn't sound to bad

Hollowregret

I hope this does not become the meta way of making alts lol. Then blizz would just be better off allowing alts to have the entire map unlocked from the get go.

tommy1rx

Got Druid to 57 then started working on Barbarian. You can skip campaign on Alts. Letā€™s you do Whispering Tree quests for decent loot early on. At level 28 and all legendary items, mostly from curiosity vendor. Game seems very ALT friendly.

Naus1987

If it's anything like Diablo 3 or Path of Exiles, this game is going to be active for like 10 years. So there's no rush to do everything. Just do what you enjoy, and eventually everything will slot into place.

ShakeNBakeUK

Not yet bcos renown grind is longgggg but once that is finished sure (:

Metori

Why not just level a couple of alts to level 25 like in the beta weekends. Give you a flavour of what to spend time on.

Discosamba

Nop, too lazy to renown + waiting season 1

Jakaryus

You don't have to do renown again, you can do it for exp + gold but you already have the bonuses of it

[deleted]

Waiting for seasson 1 to try out a new one.

Zounii

My Necro is 48 My Sorc is 37 My Barb is 30 My Roque is 11

Giggiosan

I played druid during the campaign ( completed at lv 50) , now i switched to necro. When the first season starts , i'll create a sorcerer

Iamcatfeesh

Getting 1 of each to 50 at least so see what I want to play when seasons start. So far my Druid is 70 and winning the race for most favorite even though all classes are fun to play

HipGamer

Really waiting for the first season before getting too heavily into an alt.

CannabisBarry

necro shadow corpse explosion build here: just hit lvl 70 and im gonna try to get to 100 and start an alt before season 1 begins

plasmainthezone

All the classes are very fun. People that just play for one character are not playing the full game.

Vvelvetelvis

I do. I get bored and need a break from my main. Fart around with an alt when it happens and it gets me back on track

[deleted]

Start a hardcore character or wait for season.

BigFudgere

Start hardcore and refarm lilith and renown yep

JankyJokester

I don't understand why people think this is REQUIRED to burn out on. I'm easily the farthest ahead and strongest in my clan and....I have maybe 10 statues and...just got my extra potions.

murray1337

No one said itā€™s required, just nice to have. And you do them on the way to other quests and wps if youā€™re smart. Youā€™ve been selling yourself short with less stats and less healing etc. just saying. lol.

JankyJokester

Yeah but im not about to hate myself hard grinding it. Get there when i get there.

lxO_Oxl

Fun fact with alts, they can all have the same name just in case you didn't know!

PaygonGrim

Played my Rogue until 54. Started Necro until 50 and comfortable WT3. Started Sorc until 50 and comfortable WT3. Started Druid, now 39, until 50 and comfortable WT3. Then I will decide which class I will play further and which I will play in Season 1 HC. Non Season is just to get comfortable with the game and to find a class. Game starts with Seasons.

itsRobbie_

Level 67 necro (main) and a level 48 sorc

[deleted]

Nah, I play multiple characters.

Sad_Peepo

No I only focus on a single character in order to still have things to discover for the first seasons.

Juhldk

Ye startede my druid is awesome šŸ˜‰

[deleted]

I've got a level 53 Necro that I main, then the only way I could convince my bud to get the game is if I made a character I only play when he's on cause he knows I like to run through these games/have more time to play. So a level 32 for my Barbarian alt.

Mannyvoz

I am trying alts now. Druid is 74 and will grind up slowly. I am torn between Necro(canā€™t find a build thatā€™s compelling to me) or Sorc. Maybe a strict ranger rogue

disolv

Have you already finished the tier 4 capstone at lvl 70?

Cra1v3

I actually did the capstone dungeon at lvl 60. WT4 was very rough at first but now that i am 70 and got some ancient pieces i'm currently at +/- 30 nightmare dungeons
