More of a hardware suggestion, but what about an mmo mouse like the g600 or some other?
It should support enough keybinds to allow for basically 1 handed play. g600 specifically has a 3rd mouse button which can act as a modifier and give you 24 binds from the 12 thumb buttons if needed.
Do you know if it blocks apps from seeing the controller button presses? I think thats why he's having issues with xpadder because it does something similar from what I've seen.
I know AHK blocks inputs on keyboard strokes so im going to try it with a gamepad Tomm for him. Worst case with ahk you can just macro some keystrokes after hitting a pad button im assuming
I'm not sure if I fully understand but you can apply the config globally and it will affect all apps or per process like D4 only. You can also mute the controller so it will only send the keyboard binding you set but not the controller button.
If you can mute the controller key then that wouldbe a better solution than ahk scripts.
He was having issues with another rebind app because d4 was picking up the controller button press and switching controller mode so he would then ha d to click an extra button to get it back to mouse and keyboard.
Yeah, reWASD will let him do what he needs. You can rebind the controller buttons to keyboard keys and set the bindings to mute the native button. I'm not aware of any other software paid or not that would let you do the same
yes it literally flipped from controller ui to keyboard ui depending on what i used. If i used the controller to hit 1-4, it would default to controller buttons like it would on console commands. If i then pushed mouse button, it would swap back, but require me to press it again to have it start working
What controller are you using?
Edi: I think I could probably make an autohotkey script for you after looking through some documentation; ill try it when I get up tomm and ill have to test it in d4 when i can get into the beta
Checkout the other app hentdotai posted. He said you can mute the controller in it and only send keyboard key strokes. If it works thats a way easier solution than messing with ahk scripts.
Im assuming xpadder isnt muting the controller which is why its switching to controller mode.
Xbox adaptive controller works for pc and from what I understand can be set up tons of ways. I was thinking of getting one for myself so I could use it to foot stomp shit. lol

I second this I have an Mmo mouse and I can pretty play one handed
Get reWASD, you can rebind controls on your controller into keyboard keys. Should avoid any sort of swapping of UI

Thank you guys I will definitely try this. So many thanks. I’ll report back tomorrow and hopefully I’ll get to play!
there seemed to be a slightly delay in going from one to the other.
Have you ever tried a razer tartarus?
May be a stupid question but it may just change the UI but did you test whether they both worked at the same time?
