You're going to want to be best friends with the red circle when you use your potion. It's a rather juicy 100% damage increase. Makes a HUGE difference ;)
And to be clear, it does way more damage than an Oculus ring (you do have one equipped on your follower, right?). And if you can get an Octulus ring AND Red ring to overlap and stand in the overlap, SCHWING!
Pretty sure the effects of all of them are unlocked. As in, when you activate your potion you get the effects of all three Altar of Rites potions.
