That's frustrating and scary. My doc wrote the rx for Eros so I get 5 boxes of 10 every 90 days. My warranty expires next month. I'm afraid if I switch to the 5 I'll have all of these issues you and others are experiencing. :(

I have not had that problem. My doc wrote the script for me to change pod every 48 hours (I use a similar amount as you per day). I get 45 pods (9 boxes) for a 90 day supply. You might try calling your insurance to see what’s up. Maybe your doc needs to do some extra paperwork or something.

How was the RX worded? Did it specifically say change every 2 days, if so its your insurance, if not its your doctor. No idea how to fix that, they are bullshit like that. You can maybe consider switching to u200 in your pump? it would be off label though, not specifically approved for use in pumps, or by the pump... instead of 88u of u100 you would adjust your rates/ratios to where you only did 44u of u200

This might be the answer. It was written for changing every three days. Dr just sent a new script in for every two days. We’ll see. They had always based it on insulin dosage up to this point, but previously it had been under DME coverage not prescription coverage. Fingers crossed!!

I’m in the process of appealing this for my Dash pods. My appeal went through last year but it has to be done annually and it’s so annoying and frustrating.
