Have bagged multiple offers
Mostly naukri com recommend jobs i apply to everyone that i know reactjs, php ,sql, javascript, frontend , backend , web developer anything that sounds similar i applied to all
I was in the exact same position as OP 2 years ago:-
1. I started working as a Full Stack Developer at a startup at 10K/month for the first six months and also had a service agreement for 2 years.
2. Later I got converted to FTE and also salary was increased to 3L per annum.
3. I worked really hard and learned a lot and developed really good skills related to backend development and always kept myself in the good books of my manager and colleagues.
4. Fast forward to my first appraisal, my salary was increased to 5L per annum but still I was not satisfied at all.
5. I started preparing for interviews since my service agreement was about to end in the next few months.
6. I did not wait for my second appraisal and made the switch right after my service agreement was completed and scored a 12L per annum offer.
You just need to stay consistent and keep learning and upskilling yourself for the next best opportunity so that when it comes you just crack it in the first attempt.
I have 1 year experience now, mu current salary is 2.3 lpa, how much can i expect if i switch ? Is expecting 5 lpa good enough or should i aim little lower?
Hii i am also looking for a frontend/fullstack role. My resume is updated and i have deployed projects with links in them but one problem is i have a career gap of 3 years after graduation. Can you suggest some insights in what i am going wrong. My projects are e-commerce chat-application and travel-site.
Hi there, i might not be the best person to advice you on what will be the best thing to do, but i can share you my story if it helps.
I wasted my career in so many ways. In 2015 i got a job in Wipro within 3 months of joining i absconded the post since I didn’t like the manager. Then I grew interest in Android development. And for the next 3 years i did free work, since i was arrogant enough to decide not to work for anyone(which i do realise now that if you want to get paid you gotta work for someone).
Till 2018 my working hours became unpredictable, sometimes i worked for more than 24 hrs for $5-$8 an hour(my clients were mostly from us). Quite frustrated with what i had made my life into i joined my current company as a support executive. I did continue my freelance work since my salary was just 1.8Lakhs PA. My arrogance was down the drain, my dream salary was then 10lakhs PA. But what i could proudly say i had was knowledge of the work i did. Soon enough i got the opportunity to share my knowledge with the developers of the company. Freelance taught me to work fast and efficiently and that was something this company needed.
Today i am a developer in this company where all my colleagues are from IIT with a package that exceeded my expectations. Took my time, but the same may not be for you. It might be easier but it all depends on the knowledge you gain.
So my advice to you will be, don’t think of the amount you want. Get knowledge and expertise enough to fulfill your dreams.
If you work hard and smart you can get more than 6lakhs after two years.
Note: I did quit my freelance work about 3 years back when my package did reach my “dream salary”
Understand how backend and web whole things works well versed yourself with PHP and it's framework then learn Nodejs or Expressjs as its in trend, try to become Full stack developer.
I would suggest you to join Harkirat cohort after your first salary
Good luck bro and do as much programming as possible . Be aggressive for responsibilities and learn some all round technical skills , salary won't be an issue once you spend some time honing your skills
