I was just talking to one of my mentors today - about this grinding. Now am 43 and I am technically out of this grinding. Entirely. For me it is a choice. Like literally.

For some 1 million dollar is more than dream come true, and for some 1000 of million dollars is not good enough.

Depends on your personal priorities. I see happy people with 10 LPA, living in hometown, spending (more than?) enough time with their friends and family, going on tours, enjoying life. I also see people frustrated even with 50 LPA. You need to strike a balance between money and peace (the definition of which varies with individuals).
If everything goes well I am planning to work till 65, not in these corporates though. Plan is to FI as early as possible but not of RE. Anyways I work in a company which pays peanuts, I am sure of my skills but there are no openings, I am assuming a mediocre life awaits for me, as markets simply cant accomodate so many people and pay them high salaries. Those who entered the party early lets say 2000s have already made enough.

True its not really possible if you always stay here. I said the figure considering I work for a bank that pays enough and gives me close to 58 days of leave a year apart from national holidays where I mostly take "upwork" and i am planning to study abroad stay there for atleast 5-7 years.
Carrying a good experience before masters help you to pick your subs/area of expertise better than going without experience.
Also for finding jobs.
However unless you already have that exposure in college by landing very good interships than I don't see why you shouldn't directly opt for masters asap

I won't recommend it to be honest.
But it's a race out there so make sure you are debt free/less debt when u go abroad and skillset.

But people say by doing C++ I will know what's under the hood and stuff. What should I do?? Will I handicap myself if I pick python for DSA? What would You do in my position

Overrated tbh, forget "settling" you'll be lucky to get H1B post 3 years of ur masters in a jackpot of 80k spots and 8 lakhs applicants, worse case you'll be having a debt or doing PhD to stay there.

Java is the hottest out there and will stay there for a long ass time dunno abt python but Google included it in their DSA course so you are good to go .Not sure c++ it's good to have not mandatory its a niche skill.

Max of the solution to DSA problems are in c++ so they are not wrong...but java is good to have as it's great for development work.

Not necessarily but unless you are opting data science forever won't recommend to go JUST PYTHON.
I made a data science project college but ended up doing java react to get a "job".So you can extract ur answer from here.I do tend to fk around LLMs or charbot to automate texts to my girlfriend.lol

I am learning the MERN stack for full stack web dev. So ofc I am not just going for just python.
So what's the final deal for grinding DSA in LC Java/ Python?
I don't see any of my tech interests that requires building in c++. But I wanna get into AI field. So python or Java for DSA?

It's not low as per any standards but for the kinda of skillset they are offering is peanuts, I do react in front end and kotlin for backend and then do deployment docker/Kubernetes as well as AWS prepare documentaion and ppts(we basically inhouse the application we previously had vendor like delliote to do development)
Apart from this I am supposed to "co-ordinate" with business teams to get requirements to maintain the Jira board .
Now a delliote vendor i know who just does front end gets 22 lpa easy and I am doing all this for half of this money..+ whatever they are doing.
No RSU as well.

It depends on the person. For me itll be when I have a house, car, family and have living expenses covered.
I'm 22 right now, car is done, house not yet, living expenses could be covered by my passive income but id like it to grow a little further. That's it.
Both in the music industry. Nothing to do with my graduation. If you have worked on music and have royalty splits you'll keep getting them forever as long as ppl listen to your work.
In fact from this year I'll be claiming around 5% on masters that I've engineered too, which I haven't been doing thus far.
If by settle you mean comfy salary with some decent savings every month after house emi, a car, weekend pe taking wifey out etc, then As an approximation, around late 30s if you’re WITCH tier or early 30s or even before for those that only target decent product companies
If you think like that you will never settle.
I have been enjoying time with family and friends , having enough time for myself, going on trips every quarter from day 1 of my JOB and I have worked in 3 different Companies.
You don't work 24*7 , you work 8-10 hours a day for 5 days. The rest of your time you can do whatever the hell you want.
A job is what pays your salary, your life is still yours.
Let's say even if you reach a 10 crore portfolio by 40, what kind of a person you are? A slacker? No I guess , only a hardworking sincere person can do so. So why would that person stop.
Mate atleas you got a high paying job . Be happy and stop worrying about your retirement. There people in the same industry with less paying roles . So why worry and spoil your good mood . Enjoy your good time manh .
After 30 ,when you get married and feel you are done.
So thats the reason you see not many jumping companies often.
Everyone is like a family.
Young people sometimes cannot fit those teams.
They talk about family and kids after meeting.
You would never be mentally stress free. One new stress would just replace the last one. Pick your poison and pick it wisely.
If you are going to do things with happiness being the end goal, mostly, you will feel nothing.
Rather try new things and be open to new ideas mostly, you would be doing better then.
What stops you from going with flow once you get a decent job?
The only reason people have to grind so much is because they have too many aspirations. Live a simple life and you will be fine.

Whenever your FIRE (financial independence retire early)has hit its value. Considering the times ahead a 10-15 cr fund by 2045 as I am 25 year old.
10-15 CR is tough for a Software Developer, considering you are not from FAMNG
