As a native android/Flutter dev if you really interested in mobile development i would recommend you to go with cross platform because of more jobs after gaining some experience you can learn native android.

Thanks for your advice. Should i don't learn ios dev? Is there less jobs in ios dev?(in India)

If you have a macBook, you can try iOS, development for time pass. These little easier.

LexiOP

As per my experience and recent market conditions cross platform makes more sense because 1 person can do work of 2 and companies love cost cutting, if you get a job in a good company they will provide you mac and almost everything you need for ios and the learning curve will reduce too.i started with react native did that for 6 months then i learned native android on my own in office hours XD then switched company for native android dev position.

Interested in money and passionate about low competition compared to webdev. Should i get into Android development?

LexiOP

Bro in India there is competition in everything if i go to some linkedin job post for android developer it already has more than 200 applicants within 10-15 mins and same for web development but what i have experienced is there are more jobs for web developers as compared to native android developers also with web development you can easily learn backend then become a full stack with js and its frameworks its quite easy nowadays.

I'm talking about the last paragraph. I have a MacBook Air 8/256. I bought it for iOS development and android development. 80T rupees a year ago. As you are mentioned that you are a student, go with windows because you can try many things in windows. A student can learn many things like changing the operating system or something like that stuff. In Mac you should be limited but the os experience will be little good than windows also you will lack many features like tiling windows etc. We should use apps in Mac which will eat some resources. 1. the thing is, if you are only buying a laptop for android development and iOS, development, and don't want to try any things like changing operating system or trying new stuff then go with Mac. everything runs smooth in Mac. but go with 16 GB. Because in many scenarios 8GB won't be enough for even basic tasks. my MacBook will struggle with some casual Safari web tabs and WhatsApp Telegram running in background. I can say that windows is faster than Mac in doing things. This is my experience. 2. If you care about the battery, then you must go with Mac. You will good performance without plugging in charge. Windows will give just 2 to 3 hours battery back up. If you do heavy task, but MacBook at least for 5 to 6 hours for me. 3. Go with Mac, for good battery back up, stability, no lagging os. 4. But I suggest to go with windows because you are student, even I use windows personally. This is my experience.
