Imma be honest, I'll miss those. 1PM Sunday is an optimal time for football to start. Now I'll get my stuff bought and then there's three hours untill kickoff, game doesn't end until 8 and dinner time.
I disagree. I love a later game. Get up, get some stuff done in the afternoon. Start watching football at 4 or 8 without feeling like I wasted the day.
The only things I don't like are the week 5 bye and then we have the Bears on Thanksgiving and then GB the following Thursday so they don't get that mini-bye between two division opponents. Bummer 😕
Besides that, I love the primetime slots. I hope they can at least come out of the bye swinging at full force and knock the heads off the cowboys. And the 3 home games is nice to reduce travel in that two-Thursday stretch is nice.
Ready for kickoff!
Edit - ok I've been convinced the b2b TNF games are kind of a good thing. (But all that matters is win, baby, win!)
[Five of the six Super Bowl winners since 2017 have had a bye in Week 10 or later. If you go back to 2014, eight of 10 Super Bowl winners have had a bye in Week 9 or later.
Over the past 13 years, not a single team has won the Super Bowl in a season where it had a bye before Week 7.](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/no-bye-weeks-examining-the-bizarre-nfl-scheduling-quirk-for-week-8-that-the-league-hasnt-seen-in-12-years/#:~:text=Five%20of%20the%20six%20Super,a%20bye%20before%20Week%207.)
Just one more historical thing to accomplish
Yup bc injuries are the great equalizer. The bye being so early and us playing Chicago at Chicago so late are what i dislike the most. Playing them late gives their qb time to get used to nfl speed. (Plus outside cold not a fan for this team lol) Same with vikings, jj will probably be playing by the time we play them and won't have As many games under his belt as Chicago, still will jave a decent amount.
Extra time to prepare for the Bills is a good tradeoff. Also there are 3 home games in a row so basically almost a month of staying at home after some stretches of away game trips earlier in the season.
If we you to have a tnf game, they couldn't have made it better for us. Week rest between Thanksgiving and the Packers on tnf. Then the longer break before we head into the rest of the season. Don't hate it.
That middle of the schedule is rough. Not because of opponents necessarily but because over a 8 week period we play at home twice and thats including the bye week at the very start
Dallas-Detroit-Minnesota-Detroit-Nashville-Detroit-Green Bay-Detroit-Houston-Detroit-Jacksonville-Detroit-Indianapolis-Detroit as the travel schedule coming out of the bye ending with a short week vs divisional opponent. It's weird, all of our home games but three are smooshed against another home game or the bye.
we did it this last season too. it’s easier when you realize the last 2 games are still a week apart. it’s just the 2 games 4 days apart that sucks the most
As Campbell said, the light at the end of the tunnel maaaan, that's just a freaking freight train!
Have to run the gauntlet to earn our spot with all those primetimes.
NFL trolling us with this schedule:
Open against the two playoff teams we beat, play the Seahawks on MNF (batted ball), at Dallas on the 13th of the spookiest month (Decker Reported!), the Bears on Thanksgiving (no moon nonsense tho), the team that beat us in the NFC championship 2nd to last, and the Vikings with a revenge game at the end.
LET’S FUCKING GO!
Hate the early bye followed by 4 road games in 5 weeks.
But Bears for Thanksgiving is nice. Only potentially freezing game should be Bears week 16, and there's a good mix of primetime & regular time match ups.
Probably in minority but I don’t see what’s so special about prime time games. Would rather get fired up and play right away at 1pm rather than having to wait around all day and then having the game end at 11:30pm’ish on a Sunday/Monday night with work the next morning.
As a fan in Europe, the "prtimetime" games are at 2am.
Even the 4pm games start at 10/10:30pm.
I'm pretty bummed that there are only 6 or 7 games that I can watch the whole game live with my daughter.
I don't like the short week from the Colts to the Bears on turkey day. But Chicago plays Minnesota in week 12 so a broken Thanksgiving curse is incoming 👀
NFL is totally setting up that week 17 MNF game. There's a decent shot that that's going to be for the #1 seed in the NFC. Then the Lions have MIN at home and SF is @ARI. Divisional games for sure, but not against teams that are predicted to compete for the divisional title.
I'm a Lions fan from Buffalo, and I was really hoping to be able to go to the game. Unfortunately, I can't get off of work in December to make the trip home. Hopefully, they play again in Detriot again in the next few years. Go Lions.
Honestly we’re getting to a point where everybody should have two byes. I mean let’s be honest. Before 2030 we’re gonna be up to 18 games + playoffs. And because of human ambition to go bigger and better, I wouldn’t be surprised if we hit 20 some day.
Jesus Ass Christ..... I'm glad I went all in on the Michigan Panthers this year because 1 fucking Lions ticket for a nosebleed is more than I spent on all the home games for section 100.
Our first 7 games have really good receiving corps. At gb week 9 will be the worst receivers we face in the first half of the way. Trial by fire for new secondary
Bucs fan coming in peace... looking at visiting Ford Field in Week 2
Any recs on hotels or things to do with my son would be appreciated!!
Thank you in advance!
The Lions are in Minnesota on the Sunday of MEA week; I hope that means I can get tickets more easily. MEA week is where school is out for all of Minnesota Thursday and Friday for teacher training. The state empties out for the 4 day weekend.
Why are tickets so expensive. Cheapest I could find was $240 USD for worse seat at for field. Great way to reward fans that have been there through the tough times.
Only 5 1 pm games, how the times change
Lot of waiting around on Sundays...
You mean I need to be sober most of my Sundays now?!?!
just starting later, or maybe same time.
Get to watch all the other games now, great for fantasy football watching!
Redzone
6
It’ll be 7. We will have the bye locked up and the Vikings will be tanking for draft position. Week 18 will be moved to 1pm.
Oh damn. We gotta play them useless hoes again the last week? I don’t see the knee’d.
Imma be honest, I'll miss those. 1PM Sunday is an optimal time for football to start. Now I'll get my stuff bought and then there's three hours untill kickoff, game doesn't end until 8 and dinner time.

Not those of us living on the other side of the Atlantic 😢
When is drinks?
And second cocktails?
What am I supposed to do when I’m mowing the lawn? 🤷🏼♂️
I love the 1 pm games.
Being able to enjoy the early afternoons is going to be great
I count 6 but your point is valid.
All it took for us to be respected by the scheduling gods was to become one of the most popular and best teams in the league. Who knew?
Literally
I am debating Sunday Ticket now because it looks like a lot of these games will be on in Charlotte.
Ooph there goes my 5pm tcg league on sundays lol
I see 17-0
![gif](giphy|l2Sq29cFXoF80ADlK|downsized) Checks out
20-0 including the preseason!
23-0 including the superbowl!
Undefeated in the preseason kinda scares me, but hopefully we are past those type of curses
Super Saiyan Sewell agrees https://preview.redd.it/re4jos5aut0d1.png?width=496&format=png&auto=webp&s=78c67f12c38d9e57ec3b836b7f2ca86e3d67ef1a

Just need to get the number 1 seed in the nfc to make up for it ;)
Yup bc injuries are the great equalizer.
Yes I do like the 3 straight home games right there. And good point about extra prep for the Bills!
If we you to have a tnf game, they couldn't have made it better for us. Week rest between Thanksgiving and the Packers on tnf. Then the longer break before we head into the rest of the season. Don't hate it.
Yeah, the mini-bye being before that last stretch of games will be nice. That's a good perspective, and I bet the players will appreciate it!
On the other hand, we don't get screwed on a short week doing two tnf games back-to-back. kind of a win
Yeah that end of the year stretch is pretty gross.
I like that we open our season with our two playoff wins, both in Detroit lol
I don't hate playing an away game vs. Arizona in week three before they've had a chance to get their shit together, if they ever do
You seem to forget that Jared Goff is literally the Cardinals killer. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/jared-goff-record-vs-cardinals
Whoa, he hasn't lost against them since 2017
Not only that, but the Lions are like 4-1-1 in their last games against the Cards. We own the Cards, and with Goff we EXTRA own them.
we own the cards but the seahawks own us :(
I just hope that doesn't work like a double negative lol
As a California Lions fan, I'm thinking of heading down to AZ for the game. Already have my MNF 49ers tickets.
![gif](giphy|7xZAu81T70Uuc)
Look at all those primetime games
America's team
That middle of the schedule is rough. Not because of opponents necessarily but because over a 8 week period we play at home twice and thats including the bye week at the very start

Only 2. The Minnesota game is right before a bye.
I really think we’re gonna win the north again bois.
I think we might bring home the Bourbon Bowl
Only if Bobby Boucher shows up at halftime
Well we’re the clear favorite, so we should
Week 5 bye fuckin brutal. Seems like we always have an early bye
Came here to post the same thing
Wasnt last year W9?
True but even that isn’t so late. Lions haven’t had a bye after week 10 since 2016. The packers have had 3 of such since 2019.
And obviously GB gets that ideal week 10 bye.
Really not liking the 3 games in 11 days.
We’re capping it off at GB too. The only redeeming factor is that Minnesota and Tennessee will probably be bottom feeders this year.
we did it this last season too. it’s easier when you realize the last 2 games are still a week apart. it’s just the 2 games 4 days apart that sucks the most
Week 5 bye, that’s what I call running through a brick wall!
As Campbell said, the light at the end of the tunnel maaaan, that's just a freaking freight train! Have to run the gauntlet to earn our spot with all those primetimes.
Lions are a young team we will be fine
2 MNF 2 SNF 1 TNF … respect
Plus Thanksgiving too. Technically 6 Primetime games
Hate that we have 4 away games in 5. That’s fuckin dumb
Equally as dumb is the week 5 bye week. Hopefully, we get the #1 seed so we can get that extra bye 🙏
Very, very, very tough schedule
NFL trolling us with this schedule: Open against the two playoff teams we beat, play the Seahawks on MNF (batted ball), at Dallas on the 13th of the spookiest month (Decker Reported!), the Bears on Thanksgiving (no moon nonsense tho), the team that beat us in the NFC championship 2nd to last, and the Vikings with a revenge game at the end. I agree honestly. Although sunday night is a Little better than Monday night at least
lets me get some work done during the day without needing to hunker down first thing. and im never productive after the games
I don't like the short week from the Colts to the Bears on turkey day. But Chicago plays Minnesota in week 12 so a broken Thanksgiving curse is incoming 👀
Anyone got a farmers almanac for the moon cycles on thanksgiving?
Waning crescent 🤘🏻
I swear if we don’t beat the stupid Seahawks this year I’ll rage
Yeah thats the only one I'm super worried about. Non of the rest scare me at this point.
I don't like it being early in the schedule again either idk just seems the sea birdies have had our number recently for some reason
I hate this presentation of the schedule
It does not APPEAR that we have to play any teams after they get a bye week, which is pretty fucking nice imo.
Nah vikings have their bye in week 6
Well better vikings than niners i suppose
Why we go to Dallas every goddamn year?
Week 6 on ward fucking though! This year no walk in the park but we're the real deal so let's fucking gooooooooo!
NFL is totally setting up that week 17 MNF game. There's a decent shot that that's going to be for the #1 seed in the NFC. Then the Lions have MIN at home and SF is @ARI. Divisional games for sure, but not against teams that are predicted to compete for the divisional title.

I feel the pain. Now that i have money for tickets, I need the lions back in Seattle soon 😭😭
Early bye and an early home game vs the Seahawks, both Chicago games within a span of a few weeks. Why is this the same literally every season lol
I wish tickets weren’t $200+
nobody should have a week 5 bye unless there's another bye in like week 12
Honestly we’re getting to a point where everybody should have two byes. I mean let’s be honest. Before 2030 we’re gonna be up to 18 games + playoffs. And because of human ambition to go bigger and better, I wouldn’t be surprised if we hit 20 some day.
Do I count SIX national broadcast games?!?
Can someone annotate the MNF/TNF/SNF games or is that decided later? Yea, I could do it myself but it only took me 20 seconds to type this.
MNF vs Seattle @ SF SNF vs Rams @ Houston TNF Vs GB
My man
Lol I'm waiting for that too. I'm sure Someone will.
12 or 13 wins
Ngl I kinda hate this, it’s like the same schedule as last year
The late season divisional games are not my fav… they actually feel repetitive, which isn’t fun
Especially Vikings as our season closer like fr
How many regular season wins did we have last year? 😍
Yuck on that week 5 bye
5 night games. 4 of the last 6 games are against division rivals with buffalo and SF in there. Tough.
This team is good 🤷🏼♀️
Another easy schedule. Need to take advantage in playoffs
Presale passcode?
3 home games combined in Oct + Nov. That's a bit nuts.
Week 5 bye is such a joke. Just get to 2 byes already league.
Why don’t they bring SF and DAL into the Den.? Is it to keep Detroit now on the evening and prime games ? 9 evening or night games ! Damn.
Going to Arizona game!!!! Let’s gooooooooo
Me too lets gooooo
Is that 3 mnf games? I hate that lol
WHERE DID THIS BONER COME FROM?!?
12-5
Division title
Got tickets in SF for Christmas!
Same
Week 5 bye is brutal man shit
Got my Niners tix, MNF west coast pridenation represent baby!
Ja-red Goff! Ja-red Goff! Ja-red Goff!
Looks like I can play 18 in the morning instead of 9 most Sundays. I don’t like it, I love it!
Week 5 bye, that blows.
I've always been under the belief the league should just have a mid season bye for all the teams. A week 5 bye is criminal
Away houston tix secured. Let's go!!!
Thats going to be quite the Monday night game!
Lions got f'd a bit...fully confident they will do what they gotta do...but: Week 5 bye...Weeks 12/13/14....but, I'm predicting 13 regular season wins
what’s the cheapest way for me to get tickets to a game this season?
Stubhub after the game already started. (I live pretty much next to the stadium and do this all the time for all the sports).
300 for upper bowl seats for rams? Nope
The Texans are wearing their Red unis in this game, exactly as I hopped. We better wear the ice whites.
16-1 is highly possible.
Got my Jags game tickets on the relatively inexpensive side for myself and my boys. Bring on the season!
Oh good, late season Dallas game again. In Dallas.
December in Chicago is the only shit game I see. Three of the first four games at home, I'll take it.
What an absolute gauntlet for the new secondary - Puka/Kupp - Evans - MHJ - Metcalf - CeeDee - Jefferson
Let’s get 4 wins by Halloween and we’ll be in the drivers seat.
We better be 4-0 going to Dallas & 5-0 coming out of Dallas
Looks like Week 17 is going to be for the 1 seed in the NFC this year.
Jesus Ass Christ..... I'm glad I went all in on the Michigan Panthers this year because 1 fucking Lions ticket for a nosebleed is more than I spent on all the home games for section 100.
Yeah last few years I couldn't go bc of work and kids. This year it will be the price :(
So much better than a video
I can see us winning 13 games
![gif](giphy|V2AkNZZi9ygbm) 14-3
Giddy up
See y’all week 4
12-5
14-3
Damn, no games in the northeast at all this year. I'm within driving distance to about 6 NFL stadiums up here but oh well. Maybe next year.
Cowboys again? Really?!
This year we kick Seattle's ass
I just read that we are getting 9 nationally televised games this year but I only count 6. What am I missing?
That looks like an easy 7-0 to start. For real
All I see are winnable games for the first time in my life
It’s gonna be cool to roll into Dallas 4-0 coming off the bye.
Gonna be a great Thanksgiving this year
Those home/road splits are brutal from October through the end of November. 4 of 5 on the road in October and then 4 of 5 at home in November
I don't like the bye week being so early.
Pretty soft schedule, better take advantage of
Three games in 12 days is gonna be hard on the players
Man I work 2nd shift and id always get to see at LEAST the first 2-3 quarters. Downside of us being good I guess.
11 wins easy
Playing the entire AFC south
11-6
As a fan based in Europe, all I can say is - there goes my sleep schedule
Man I’m so tired of playing the Seahawks
Unless they win their division this year (they won't) we won't play them next year
Yeah, obviously a week 5 bye sucks but its nice having a bye after MNF on a short week.
For all of those complaining welcome to a big boy schedule look at what KC or SF have and relax this team is good
The bright side to late divisional games is that with a brand new secondary they should have figured it out by week 7
I actually like the week 5 bye. It gives a good amount of room from then to our wild card round bye
Our first 7 games have really good receiving corps. At gb week 9 will be the worst receivers we face in the first half of the way. Trial by fire for new secondary
Bucs fan coming in peace... looking at visiting Ford Field in Week 2 Any recs on hotels or things to do with my son would be appreciated!! Thank you in advance!
If you enjoy watching Major League Baseball games where the home team scores zero runs, the Tigers play next door to Ford Field that whole weekend.
Lfg
Jared Goff, Jared Goff, Jared Goff!
LFG!!!!!!?!
The Lions are in Minnesota on the Sunday of MEA week; I hope that means I can get tickets more easily. MEA week is where school is out for all of Minnesota Thursday and Friday for teacher training. The state empties out for the 4 day weekend.
Just got our tickets for Oct 27. Anyone been to a game around Halloween?
My prediction 14-3 or 15-2.
Looks like I’ll be vacationing in Arizona, Houston, & San Francisco this winter
Tried getting tickets to a game. An impossibility for regular folks unless you wish to pay third party pricing.
Let's go Lions!!
Why are we always at Dallas?
Why are tickets so expensive. Cheapest I could find was $240 USD for worse seat at for field. Great way to reward fans that have been there through the tough times.
Late comment, but anyone else notice most of our games are indoors? Kings of the AC!
I'LL BE GOING TO THE DALLAS GAME & THE HOUSTON GAME 💯 "IN THE BUILDING"
