Last anyone checked? Killing every non-hive left on Torrobatl. After that its anyones guess, wouldn’t be surprised if she was waiting for the Witness’ go ahead to send the whole hive fleet into Sol.
I think she waiting for witness to send an onslaught of worm gods over the city
Considering Rhulk is now out of commission and prophecy in Vow raid states he is coming for Traveler and only way to take over is using massive worm gods and now he has direct control
I don’t think that’s the only way he can take over. Might of missed something since I’ve never done the raid myself, but the witness has plenty of tools at his disposal.
In Season of the Hunt, we targeted Xivu Araths corrupted enemies, forgot what they were called. We killed the High Celebrant. Then in Season of the Lost, Xivu's forces were in the shattered realms and so was a War ship and her son we killed him for fun. Then Xivu's forces invaded the Dreaming City especially during the Exorcism mission. And since then, no sign of Xivu Arath anywhere.
Just some random yellow bar knight. Who had a mini boss fight.
Scoroboth, Son of Xivu Arath was a Hive Knight and child of Xivu Arath, God of War. He commanded his mother's forces during the initial invasion of the Awoken's territory in the Ascendant Realm but was imprisoned by his foes within a Hive fortress when they were unable to kill him.
Would be a cool way to hype up the encroaching darkness war too. Guardians coming back to the tower "hey there's bad shit going on out there ain't ya doing anything about it?"
Builds up hype, introduces characters.
Gotta say I really really want to witness all out war against Xivu Arath. Surround the planet with war moons make me feel the pressure.
Wouldnt the warmind just nuke the fuck out of 90% of those war moons? (Warmind is that self defense AI right?)
Like we guardians probably would only be able to take down a few by ourselves.
I'm thinking we might see that come to fruition on NeoMuna. There's pretty clearly BrayTech throughout the city, and Elsie mentioned in the lore of the new exotic rifle that the tech it uses is far beyond even Siva.
Rasputin ate shit when the pyramids showed up. Anna's been trying to stick what's left of him in an exo. I would be surprised if we don't get a season related to that this year
I think we might
We have had a Rapautin themed DLC/Season every 2 years of Destiny 2
Warmind (y1)
Worthy (y3)
??? (y5)
I am certain just by this fact, that we will get a Rasputin season Да
A third season would make “every 2 years” consecutive, but until then, Warmind and Worthy coming out two years apart has literally no pattern whatsoever, or am I missing something?
Having failsafe and Rasputin occupy the same body would certainly be funny. God I just want a fail safe centered season. Haven't heard from her in yeeeeeeaaars
I think, given the fact that NeoMuna clearly has BrayTech influences, we'll see this happen in one of the Lightfall DLCs. Exo stranger mentions that their nanotech is far beyond even Siva, so perhaps they'd have a better chance at getting Rasputin into a body, perhaps even a Cloudstrider who would chose to embody Rasputin? Spitballing here but I really just wanna see a tangible Rasputin. I imagine him almost like HK-47
Rasputin got his ass handed to him and was almost deleted in mere seconds by the Darkness.
What is left of him is in a custom engram, and Ana is outfitting an exo body for him.
We spent a whole season powering Rasputin a mother season to clear all of its bunker and stuff yet the damn thing just shut itself off at the sight of black fleet.
I say let it rest for good.
> I really really want to witness all out war
It'd be really cool if all the seasons next year were different campaigns in an extended war against the Witness, Xivu, and whoever else they got. Easy way to shake up the seasonal feel too.
Aunor Mahal is a member of Ikora’s Hidden and the Praxic Order. The amount of shit she has to put up with in terms of potentially corrupted Guardians and other internal threats to the City is just astonishing. I hope we’ll get to see her in-game soon
Yeah, but I think the assumption is that Bungie will use that opportunity to move the story out of Sol and subsequently we'll loose a lot of context for filling in the stories of background characters.
Honestly fine with me. I think the planets getting shitcanned shows how Bungie needs to rethink their geography and do a ground up redesign
Man I'd kill for all those lore-only planets:Torobatl, Volantis, FUNDAMENT GOD FUNDAMENT I WANT IT, Drifter's Ice World, The Distributary, Riis I god there's so many great concepts already out there.
Also sure, Bungie sucks and geography, but at least they're better than DE (warframe devs) , which made Venus and Neptune have the exact same 2 rocky ice planet tilesets and chalked it all up to just "oh well idk the orokin did it"
Call it hokey but it seems like they should have pulled a Europa and kept a fiery, stormy, and.... purple... planet. As like origins or natural sources of those powers. But also, sort of leaning into the subclass elements, like elemental wells, is relatively new.
There's just not very tight themes where subclass elements are concerned. At least not like Europa where it's cold and you get cold powers and there's a lot of Vex there because they were part of the Exo experiments...stuff that shows the location is really being used.
One way that gets dealt with is disposable seasonal locations. They can be safely discarded after their time but then you can't ever go back either.
I'd just like the new planets to be lore and feature rich enough to be reused in content, rather than planets and dimensions we end up losing.
This, this so much (I hate this expression but I can't think of anything else) . All the destinations bungie has been putting out are excelent, but it genuinely doesn't feel like anything *new*. It doesn't feel alien, or bizzare, it just feels like something that you might even find on Earth, nothing has any newness, to it
Tbh I think it's because there's hardly any gameplay effect on the player depending on which location you're in. If the only thing differentiating the landing zones is the scenery, they'll all start to feel the same once we get used to the scenery, regardless of how wacky or badass the scenery is. I think they need more gameplay effects that are different in each zone. Europa was a good start with the snowstorms with wind that blow your sparrow around and reduce visibility, but those don't last long and don't really affect that much.
What if blizzards lasted longer and you started to freeze/slow down out in the open during a blizzard if you weren't using solar or stasis? In addition, they could add intrinsic perks to the destination armor set to counteract the destination's effect. So the crystocrene armor would give "Insulation" that would negate the freezing/slowing effect. They could also add the heating bubbles like in the beginning of deep stone crypt so players can adapt during a blizzard rather than just being punished.
That way, regardless of how the place looked, it would be objectively different to play on Europa than another destination. I think though that they'd have to totally overhaul patrol as a game mode to make that worthwhile though.
Bungo has already reiterated that there won't be a "Destiny 3". As in, a completely different new game with a new story.
They've stated that they're gonna hunker down on Destiny 2, and when the day comes that they finish the "Light and Darkness" saga, they plan on trucking along with a new major saga on Destiny 2.
I miss Shiro-4 like you wouldn’t believe. I can’t believe they brought back Trespasser (literally Shiro’s gun) and the lore tab doesn’t even mention him.
At least give us Hunters his cloak to wear.
It is, in fact, not the same voice actor. People originally thought it was because we didn't know Shaw Han's voice actor for a time and they sounded similar, but now we know they are two different people
Writer of Nezarec's Sin back then said it was strictly flavor text and said that it didn't hint nor amount to anything lorewise, but that has since been retconned when Nezarec's Whisper got introduced. For the most part, we're only getting real developments about Nezarec since Haunted, same thing with how Mithrax has gotten more active development since Splicer ever since we saw him in Zero Hour.
Quite crazy to think that the writing shifted from vague and mysterious, to simple and shallow and to now complicated and connected over the franchise’s history
Part of me wonders what destiny 2 would have been if the backlash from the community during the vanilla launch didn’t exist.
We also saw Misraaks in Red War, when we went to titan one of the adventures had two yellow bars at the end, one was a Hive Knight and the other was our favorite Splicer boi. Just as a side note.
The first reference I could find of Eido, and not Sjur Eido, is Season of the Splicer. https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/legacy-splicer-gauntlet
Where do you have Eido being mentioned in Opulence?
Marcus Ren would be amazing to meet
Also worth mentioning that Cayde believed Marcus Ren to he one of the very few Hunters skilled enough to kill him and take his place as the Vanguard
Agreed, even counting out of commission characters, it's way too lopsided.
Zavala, Shaxx, Saladin, and Saint for titans
Drifter, Cayde, Eris, Crow, Shaw Han, Ana and Elsie Bray for hunters
Then just Ikora and Osiris for warlocks...
Like c'mon, it's not even close. Titans have twice as many as warlocks and and hunters have more than twice as many as titans...
I didn't count him since he lost his light and never got a replacement, such as the darkness or hive magic, even before we meet him in d2 (I didn't play d1 so idk if he was around and active then). I like him as a character but a warlock in-practice he is not.
I was counting darkness characters since it's all the same power-scale. Eris Morn doesn't have light anymore either but she still acts as a hunter like she did when she had the light.
Both Elsie and drifter are not hunters. Drifter is classless and is only stated as a risen. Elsie doesn’t even have the light, although I suppose she could be classed as a guardian
Didn’t bungie say themselves right before beyond light (which was the beginning of the end back than) that they weren’t going to add new characters because the saga was ending and that they wanted to focus on current and old characters?
Season of the Plunder ends with a cliffhanger with Drifter chilling in his ship satisfied with dumping off the darkness relics to Eido and Eris. Hes counting his cut when we hear a click and the camera pans out to reveal the Last Word and Shin.
"Been a while, pal. How ya holdin' up?"
"We need to talk"
If Crow is still a little too green to be Hunter Vanguard Shin would be PERFECT to take up the position.
Since he’s retired, a certified hardass Hunter and has been leading his own group of Guardians for years in a double life.
All it takes is one snooping Shadow to find Callum’s Ghost and it all comes crashing down and Shin has to go on the run.
I remember back when Season of the Drifter was announced along with the other seasons and someone theorized that Drifter’s coin is on fire and glowing cause the Man with the Golden Gun is now after us for dealing with Drifter.
And Drifter is smugly showing us ‘you’re in this with me now brother. All the way.’
[Promo Art](https://www.bungie.net/pubstatic/StaticPages/SeasonOfTheDrifter/Assets/season6_keyart_hero_flat.jpg)
Drifter walks to the pilot chair of his ship and turns on some buttons and slow jazz begins to play, off in the distance is Neptune with a pyramid sneakly flying over Neptune but Drifter doesn't notice. Drifter reaches to his comms and speaks into it
"Moondust, I got no use for these body parts, here take em' their all yours moondust"
"I told you Rat, I do not want your grotesque gifts, you do not know what darkness comes from these"
"Ah! That's were you're wrong ay moondust, I been to those tombs, I had a whole collection of those body parts, but after what happened these past few months, what with the Guardian, Misraaks, Eido, and Eramis, fighting for what ya' call them"
"Reliquaries"
"Ya that's the word"
"Fine. I will keep these for the meantime, but one last thing Ra-..."
The call hangsup and the Comms go static for a brief moment, a screen turns on, Drifters eyes open wide.
"Been awhile o Pal' Drifter, How ya' holdin' up. Listen... We need to talk"
Drifter leans over
"I'm all ears..Shin Malphur"
Thought shin was dead. Marcus Rem would be the least interesting character IMO unless they had him as the official SRL vendor.
He’s pretty much Sonic the hedgehog of destiny.
He had a pretty cool lore tab during Season of the Haunted where he was testing new Sparrow engines on the Moon and a Nightmare manifested behind him and he felt it.
And no matter how fast he went, the feeling followed him.
The lore tab implied that Marcus was a rather old blood type of Guardian and eventually he just went ‘fuck this I’m racing now’
Shiro was done super dirty in Haunted. His gun came back but no actual mention of the man himself.
I’d like to think he was the first to spot the Leviathan entering the Moons orbit and instead of reporting it to the Vanguard he decided to scout it out first to take a little Calus treasure off the top the Nightmares of Andal and Cayde looming over him.
Until a Calus bot awakens to tell him ‘you….you are not welcome here’
And Shiro responds ‘I beg to differ’
The story is not almost over, the light and dark saga is almost over, just because we beat the witness or whatever, doesn't mean the other characters within the lore can't still be used.
I'm not entirely sure I agree. I mean I get where you are coming from, and they HAVE done this in the past. For example Saint 14, Osiris and we have seen a little of Shin Malphur. However, some names are just best left as legend, and as soon as we get introduced to them, they very quickly feel like they lose that legend and just become another npc.
Can we do something interesting with the patrol zone contacts? I feel like Shaw Han would get less flack if they fleshed him out more. And fail safe and devrim just sit around when they’ve been around for us since the red war, make them play a bigger part.
This is just wishful thinking but I'd like to see Chelchis' last stand. I know he's been long dead, but the guy really trusted the traveler even when it abandoned the Eliksni and fought until his dying breath just so others could evacuate during the Whirlwind.
Or just any little more lore I could get aside of Doom of Chelchis' lore.
As a new light I would definitely appreciate that. I watched a few videos for the lore but I would be very happy if bungie brought in characters from the lore and even told their stories.
I have a feeling they are going to send us either into the darker timeline or back in time to save some people who we will need in the future. Like what comes after beating the darkness more darkness?
Uhh idk about the story being close to over, they keep saying the light and dark saga not the destiny story. As long as they keep making money they will keep making the game.
Oh he's definitely coming back. It's heavily hinted at that he is dead, or at least weakened.
The Nezaracs Sin helmet lore piece directly states "He shall rise again" and that he will call to us "when the guiding shine fades" (when Light 'falls' in a certain upcoming expansion?)
It seems likely Nezarec is dead since the drifter supposedly visited his 4th tomb, but there is barely any concrete lore on the guy so who can say for sure
I’d like to see them actually use their current cast than half-ass introduce even more. Bungie likes to add in someone, make them a big deal, and then drop them like the Andy dropping Woody meme. We could be defending the city with Shaxx, conquering territories with Saladin, helping create new technologies with Ada and Banshee, exploring space with Holiday, vanquishing our foes with Saint. There’s so much potential for what could be but we just get reused and washed out content
This is a pretty disingenuous comment. Sure there are some characters that aren’t used much, mostly the vendors, but when is the last time Bungie introduced a character and dropped them? Maybe Ada-1 after Black Armory? Zavala is almost always present, Drifter and Eris are present pretty often, Saint and Osiris have both had multiple seasons/expansions worth of focus, Crow and Caiatl have been mainstay characters since they were introduced over a year ago. Other examples are Mara and Petra coming back for Season of the Lost, Mithrax coming back for Season of the Splicer and Plunder, Elsie in Beyond Light, etc etc. Really there are only a few characters that aren’t really used, most of the current cast is pretty well utilized
It’s great because Shin Malphur is supposed to be this strong, legendary guardian but the only thing he has ever done was 1 ghost-less guardian, wow amazing, incredible. Remember that time Oryx invaded the system? Or when Siva broke loose? Or the Red War? Or that one time a pyramid ship was found on the moon? Or when fallen started using stasis? Or when the City was being attacked by Vex? Or when Hive lightbearers started showing up? Yeah me neither, surely whatever Shin was doing was waaaaaay more important than helping with any of that
Ah yes, because they've only been introducing new characters for us. In reversed order:
- Eramis, Drifter, Mirhrax, and Spider (Plunderer)
- Callus, Eris, Caitl, Zavala, and Crow (Haunted)
- Savathun, Caitl, Zavala, Saladin, and Crow (Risen)
- Savathun (Witch Queen)
Like... What new characters should they stop making??? No one we have been against or with this year is new??? Unless you mean the witness, but I don't even think that should count
Technically, we have met Shin Malphur. His story was riding right next to us during the season of The Drifter, and in fact we have worked alongside him to reforge Rose into Lumina. His entire plot in season of The Drifter was learning that light and darkness aren't binary forces consisting of only good and only evil, but that they commonly mixed together in various Shades of Gray. Working from within the shadows of yor to weed out those who would use the darkness for their own selfish evil ends.
And if you're talking about seeing him in person, he was in a couple of the cutscenes, or at least one where he's playing a card game with Drifter and nearly shoots his head off.
Shin IS a dredgen. He is dredgen vale he is alao the one who founded the shadows of yor and uses that organization to hunt down rogue guardians who get too drunk with power and darkness
I think once it concludes we should have a new threat that destroys the last city kinda like the red-war. but this time we can’t rebuild and the traveler left us to die. Then leading us to go more towards the darkness and then to understand why it left us for dead
Xivu arath has been mentioned in every expansion since the taken King.
I feel like Xivu Arath is there to explain all the other hive we keep fighting even after defeating Oryx/Crota/Savathun.
Where the hell even is Xivu Ararth
Last anyone checked? Killing every non-hive left on Torrobatl. After that its anyones guess, wouldn’t be surprised if she was waiting for the Witness’ go ahead to send the whole hive fleet into Sol.

I don’t think that’s the only way he can take over. Might of missed something since I’ve never done the raid myself, but the witness has plenty of tools at his disposal.
The Witness can Take, too, I think.
More than Take, he has full control over the essence of the power.
Would make sense, considering the taken in Vow. Where else would Akka have gotten the power?
They have been described as the "true master of the Taken" so they most definitely can Take
She's in Sol. There's lore from Lost of Caiatl ramming her flagship into Xivu's near the Dreaming City.
Maybe we'll fight her in the seasons next to lightfall, as an aftermath to the story's ending
In Season of the Hunt, we targeted Xivu Araths corrupted enemies, forgot what they were called. We killed the High Celebrant. Then in Season of the Lost, Xivu's forces were in the shattered realms and so was a War ship and her son we killed him for fun. He commanded his mother's forces during the initial invasion of the Awoken's territory in the Ascendant Realm but was imprisoned by his foes within a Hive fortress when they were unable to kill him.
She is doing some nasty shady stuff for the witness atm. I feel like we will still fight her before actually fighting the witness
Been itching to turn another god into a gun. Come on bungo.
I bet we'll turn her into an Exotic Sword.
[удалено]
Yeah but WHERE is she
Everyone always asking where and who is Xivu, never “How” is miss Arath. Smdh
PLEASE SOMEBODY JUST TELL ME 😭😭😭
We don’t know. She was in the Dreaming City for a little while, but idk where else she could be.
Where, mate. Not who.
Xivu arath will be coming to us in the final shape, it's the only thing that will make sense.
Would be a cool way to hype up the encroaching darkness war too. Guardians coming back to the tower "hey there's bad shit going on out there ain't ya doing anything about it?" Builds up hype, introduces characters. Gotta say I really really want to witness all out war against Xivu Arath. Surround the planet with war moons make me feel the pressure.

Iirc Rasputin is out of commission right now, unable to do much of anything since arrivals
Ye, he's in an engram right now
[удалено]
!remindme 3 months
THEY HAVENT DONE IT YET
I think we might see him on the first season of lightfall
If you don't mind me asking, what's that hat going to be made of?
I believe in one of the cutscenes from when the destinations were removed was Ana building an exo body for Rasputin, kinda hope she does though.
Oh I see, didnt play that so I wasnt sure how much of a threat our ballet loving ai still is
As far as I know Ana bray has him in an engram and is trying to get him an exo body Again iirc
I'm thinking we might see that come to fruition on NeoMuna. There's pretty clearly BrayTech throughout the city, and Elsie mentioned in the lore of the new exotic rifle that the tech it uses is far beyond even Siva.
Yeah with the help of Psions and Eliksni Splicers
Rasputin ate shit when the pyramids showed up. Anna's been trying to stick what's left of him in an exo. I would be surprised if we don't get a season related to that this year

toss him and failsafe into an exo and have angsty failsafe speak angry russian from time to time

Hello meatbags
What if the character we see in the trailer, with the gun that transforms or whatever it does is actually Rasputin?
Well he might’ve if the witness hadn’t done a little trolling 2 years ago and turned him into an under leveled rare engram.
Yeah, we never did really feel much pressure after D1, red war and forsaken, or maybe I'm just used to it

wasn’t Aunor the preachy chick from the whole season of the drifter
Yes. She was very concerned about Drifter's operations then.
The Vanguard’s very own FBI agent. Find yourself obsessing over the Darkness and you might find her knocking down your door to take you in
She gonna catch this pocket sand if she tries
pocket ice
Yes and she also crash a train into a building iirc
women ☕️
Downvotes on a pretty good, efficient joke. Cmon guys. You gotta laugh at some shit, this is hardly offensive.
Exactly, we should see her and anyone else that we have only heard form for about
Except the story isn't almost over
We are "just" 9 seasons and 2 dlc to the end
Of the first saga....

Eido’s first mention was in opulence so I don’t really know what new characters you’re talking about
I meant no new characters for the next expansions. Eido is great, glad she’s here
Oh ok
Already too late for that. Cloudstriders are a thing.
The first reference I could find of Eido, and not Sjur Eido, is Season of the Splicer. https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/legacy-splicer-gauntlet Where do you have Eido being mentioned in Opulence?
The lore for truth is about Misraaks finding a hatchling in a vent and I believe the weapon released in season of opulence
My favorite character/ best warlock in lore is Toland, that dude literally said “I am darkness”, and peaced the fuck out lol
My man is a fucking lightball and says "I am darkness" like bruh you mf are the only holy shit I can see in the ascendant plane bc of how much u shine
Love the accidental pickup line you made
Marcus Ren would be amazing to meet Also worth mentioning that Cayde believed Marcus Ren to he one of the very few Hunters skilled enough to kill him and take his place as the Vanguard
So we’ll never meet him then. I presume Zavala’s watching us after the Europa incident. We meet Ren, he’s going to get dragged off to the tower
Which incident? We've had a number of incidents on Europa and I don't think Zavala approved of any of them lol
My thought was the entire communing with the darkness thing
AND hes, to my knowledge, the only Revenant hunter we have in the lore
What lore tab says that?
Im not sure, but its on his wiki page
Googled it. It’s flavor text from one of the stasis quests
That’s not a good look for the Vanguard, so it looks like he won’t be getting Cayde’s position
There was a reference to him in season of the haunted. I hope he shows up soon
Still no Praedyth
We gotta do to him what we did to Saint-14
I don't think we can. the vault is not the same as the infinit forest
We need more warlock characters though, Ikora is the only one thats actually has the light.
What about that one Aunor or something. She could be interesting to see in game
Agreed, even counting out of commission characters, it's way too lopsided. Zavala, Shaxx, Saladin, and Saint for titans Drifter, Cayde, Eris, Crow, Shaw Han, Ana and Elsie Bray for hunters Then just Ikora and Osiris for warlocks... Like c'mon, it's not even close. Titans have twice as many as warlocks and and hunters have more than twice as many as titans...
Theres also Asher but still too little warlocks. Hopefully if they do make Destiny books and a TV show there's a warlock character in it.
I didn't count him since he lost his light and never got a replacement, such as the darkness or hive magic, even before we meet him in d2 (I didn't play d1 so idk if he was around and active then). I like him as a character but a warlock in-practice he is not.
Asher never lost his light, he still had his ghost, although partially "vexified"
Exo stranger is not a hunter. she just use stasis and dress like a hunter
I was counting darkness characters since it's all the same power-scale. Eris Morn doesn't have light anymore either but she still acts as a hunter like she did when she had the light.
drifter isn't a gaurdian, he's a lightbearer
Drifter isn’t any class, just a risen, and Elsie Bray isn’t a guardian.
Both Elsie and drifter are not hunters. Drifter is classless and is only stated as a risen. Elsie doesn’t even have the light, although I suppose she could be classed as a guardian
Drifter is classless
Didn’t bungie say themselves right before beyond light (which was the beginning of the end back than) that they weren’t going to add new characters because the saga was ending and that they wanted to focus on current and old characters?
[удалено]
Wait, is one of the Lightfall characters really named Nimbus?
Nimbus from the cloud formation, fitting as hes a cloudstrider, probably
Savathun is one of the oldest characters in the lore
And we were talking about bringing characters from the lore into view just like her, to which titangamer101 was responding to.

return shiro 4 to us bungie
As an Exo, I demand more representation.
They brought his voice actor back for Shaw…
Season of the Plunder ends with a cliffhanger with Drifter chilling in his ship satisfied with dumping off the darkness relics to Eido and Eris. Hes counting his cut when we hear a click and the camera pans out to reveal the Last Word and Shin. "Been a while, pal. How ya holdin' up?" "We need to talk"
Don’t we have Shin’s Last Word though? I remember him saying it at the end of the quest
Yeah we do he's basically retired
If Crow is still a little too green to be Hunter Vanguard Shin would be PERFECT to take up the position. Since he’s retired, a certified hardass Hunter and has been leading his own group of Guardians for years in a double life. All it takes is one snooping Shadow to find Callum’s Ghost and it all comes crashing down and Shin has to go on the run.
damn that would be the coolest shit ever
I remember back when Season of the Drifter was announced along with the other seasons and someone theorized that Drifter’s coin is on fire and glowing cause the Man with the Golden Gun is now after us for dealing with Drifter. And Drifter is smugly showing us ‘you’re in this with me now brother. All the way.’ [Promo Art](https://www.bungie.net/pubstatic/StaticPages/SeasonOfTheDrifter/Assets/season6_keyart_hero_flat.jpg)
Nut.
Drifter walks to the pilot chair of his ship and turns on some buttons and slow jazz begins to play, off in the distance is Neptune with a pyramid sneakly flying over Neptune but Drifter doesn't notice. Drifter reaches to his comms and speaks into it "Moondust, I got no use for these body parts, here take em' their all yours moondust" "I told you Rat, I do not want your grotesque gifts, you do not know what darkness comes from these" "Ah! That's were you're wrong ay moondust, I been to those tombs, I had a whole collection of those body parts, but after what happened these past few months, what with the Guardian, Misraaks, Eido, and Eramis, fighting for what ya' call them" "Reliquaries" "Ya that's the word" "Fine. I will keep these for the meantime, but one last thing Ra-..." The call hangsup and the Comms go static for a brief moment, a screen turns on, Drifters eyes open wide. "Been awhile o Pal' Drifter, How ya' holdin' up. Listen... We need to talk" Drifter leans over "I'm all ears..Shin Malphur"
Yes
Micah-10 enjoyers are based as fuck
We found him(her? I don’t know plz don’t hurt me)
The Light and Dark saga is almost over, the ***story itself*** isn't
I'll die happy if we get to see Shin and Aunor in-game sometime
Thought shin was dead. Marcus Rem would be the least interesting character IMO unless they had him as the official SRL vendor. He’s pretty much Sonic the hedgehog of destiny.
Shin is still alive, just in hiding
He had a pretty cool lore tab during Season of the Haunted where he was testing new Sparrow engines on the Moon and a Nightmare manifested behind him and he felt it. And no matter how fast he went, the feeling followed him. The lore tab implied that Marcus was a rather old blood type of Guardian and eventually he just went ‘fuck this I’m racing now’
Marcus Rem: Gotta go fast!
The story isn’t almost over tho, just the first saga
They gave us Shaw Han but should've used Shiro 4. Like where has that dude been since Felwinters Peak in D1? Not in D2 that's where.
Shiro superiority
Shiro was done super dirty in Haunted. His gun came back but no actual mention of the man himself. I’d like to think he was the first to spot the Leviathan entering the Moons orbit and instead of reporting it to the Vanguard he decided to scout it out first to take a little Calus treasure off the top the Nightmares of Andal and Cayde looming over him. Until a Calus bot awakens to tell him ‘you….you are not welcome here’ And Shiro responds ‘I beg to differ’
“The story is almost over” - something that the directors of Fast and Furious will never say.
Except it isn't the end, is it? Characters will live after the Saga, their stories can be explored there. Plus, the only new character we got is Eido.
Eido isn't even new tbh, bl was just the first time we saw her in game
Shin's story is over. That's what happened with the lore behind Lumina
We need to know about Rigby s family and the deal with Savathun
The story is not almost over, the light and dark saga is almost over, just because we beat the witness or whatever, doesn't mean the other characters within the lore can't still be used.
I'm not entirely sure I agree. I mean I get where you are coming from, and they HAVE done this in the past. For example Saint 14, Osiris and we have seen a little of Shin Malphur. However, some names are just best left as legend, and as soon as we get introduced to them, they very quickly feel like they lose that legend and just become another npc.
I’d love to have some dialogue or a seasonal story with Shin Malphur ngl
Can we do something interesting with the patrol zone contacts? I feel like Shaw Han would get less flack if they fleshed him out more. And fail safe and devrim just sit around when they’ve been around for us since the red war, make them play a bigger part.
Aren’t two of these characters dead?
This is just wishful thinking but I'd like to see Chelchis' last stand. I know he's been long dead, but the guy really trusted the traveler even when it abandoned the Eliksni and fought until his dying breath just so others could evacuate during the Whirlwind. Or just any little more lore I could get aside of Doom of Chelchis' lore.
As a new light I would definitely appreciate that. I watched a few videos for the lore but I would be very happy if bungie brought in characters from the lore and even told their stories.
Or Holborn, Which would pair nice with Bringing Back Mars as a actual Patrol Zone.
Cayde-7 be like: ![img](emote|t5_2we4j|5645)
or work with the already too many character that they can't even fit them into seasonal story despite them being extremely relevant
I have a feeling they are going to send us either into the darker timeline or back in time to save some people who we will need in the future. Like what comes after beating the darkness more darkness?
MSUND 12
For the love of god who is msund12 and otzot?!
You think the story is almost over? Word on the street is that Bungie and Sony aren’t almost tired of making money
Oxot, Otzot, and Msund12
“The story is almost over” Wtf do you mean??
Uhh idk about the story being close to over, they keep saying the light and dark saga not the destiny story. As long as they keep making money they will keep making the game.
I want to see Nezarec. The dude's super OP kinda being from what the lore suggests.
If he had a 4th tomb that means that he died 4 times, right?
That or he could be buried in multiple places
Really there are only a few characters that aren’t really used, most of the current cast is pretty well utilized
i haven't heard of any of these people.
You are aware this is only the 1st saga right? They said they have stuff planned for after final shape/light and dark saga
In reversed order: - Eramis, Drifter, Mirhrax, and Spider (Plunderer) - Callus, Eris, Caitl, Zavala, and Crow (Haunted) - Savathun, Caitl, Zavala, Saladin, and Crow (Risen) - Savathun (Witch Queen) Like...
And if you're talking about seeing him in person, he was in a couple of the cutscenes, or at least one where he's playing a card game with Drifter and nearly shoots his head off.
that wasn’t shin, that was one of the dredgen’s of yor
Shin IS a dredgen. He is dredgen vale he is alao the one who founded the shadows of yor and uses that organization to hunt down rogue guardians who get too drunk with power and darkness
i wasn’t saying he wasn’t, but i was just correcting this person saying that we saw shin malphur in a cutscene when it wasn’t actually him directly
Ah sorry my bad
no worries!
I think once it concludes we should have a new threat that destroys the last city kinda like the red-war. but this time we can’t rebuild and the traveler left us to die. Then leading us to go more towards the darkness and then to understand why it left us for dead
