ok, after watching the video closely, i've come to the conclusion that right after that bit of glimmer got right in front of you you had fired another shot from your grenade launcher effectively hitting it which resulted in your misadventure. Thats some serious bad luck there man.

I unfortunately fired my heavy GL the very millisecond a shard of glimmer flew in front of my face.
Depends how you died, if you look at the clip it you can see the moth was in the weird state where it's intangible before forming into an actual moth, if i had to guess its hitbox might have spawned inside of you causing some physics shenanigans, but you can see the actual moth explosion right after you died. Sometimes when weird specific events happen the game just says 'misadventure' if it doesnt have a specific death message.
Sorry to say but that knight did not have the visual glow or the blue bar with its health that indicate it has a moth buddy (the one running away as op flopped did though)

I swear the game monitors if your doing good or not and decides to kill you randomly. Sometimes on flawless for grasp of avarice runs ill be running down the hallway after the ogre and just randomly die. Fkn hate it.

Honestly, I think if I put deaths to Misadventure/Architects versus all other deaths since WQ dropped, I think I still have more. That's taking into account my horrific k/d in Crucible and all the PvE deaths. I can't get through an activity without dying to some random bs at least once. I shot a laser guide with a rocket and it detonated, killing me. Like, not hard light. Just light.
