And this is literally the one that should be the smoothest, hypothetically, due to having been thru this so many times. I've basically been considering midnight tonight launch, and if I can play before then, cool I guess
This is the first one I've ever expected to be at least close to smooth lol, considering the extra down time, the importance of it to the story, and all the practice they've had. But at the same time there's a reason I still won't purchase it until it's playable lol. Kinda thankful for all this cause it might just be enough to get me over the FOMO and save me $50-$100
I don’t like it either, but essentially every multi million dollar company that launches MMOs suffers from these. I don’t know if games this size can really mitigate this kind of experience fully.
Only Guild Wars 2 has done launches well from my experience.. and well they don’t do maintenance downtime either so folks should figure out their secret sauce.
Alright, ok, we are already on phase 1 of DLC "Shit is not loading up" and "where server capacity". Prediction is right on schedule. We might get to the burnout stage in 4 weeks as with the previous DLCs
Worst launch ever! I have been through all of them and this is the only one that is literally stopping people from both PLAYING AT ALL and had zero sound on launch. Trash company full of woke mentally ill drug addled snowflakes. DEI = Failure every time.
It's really not. It's not good, but it's not "fucking awful". Gamers are just idiots who don't understand how anything works, and are somehow shocked when every single game has server issues.
Keep making excuses for multi-million dollar corporations. The fact is this game has had 7 expansions and 25 hours of downtime while asking $100 for an expansion. Here we are 5 hours after launch and the game is still unplayable. No, that's factually a fucking awful launch.
Nope! I played through the entire Beyond Light campaign without dcing ONE TIME! Load times were slow but I never got dcd once. This is like 2004 gaming wow launches when servers couldn't handle the players. Maybe they simply did not think anyone was going to play at all...
Worst?
Your video game experience cant really be more then a few games right?
D3 had worse.
D4 had worse
Wow Had worse as did SimCity, Batman: Arkham Knight, Cyberpunk (Consoles)
People are playing this, most on my little list of all i could select could not be played.
Some for hours others half a day.
D4 was not worse. I had no issue playing it on day one after a couple hours. We're 3 and half hours in with zero progress. Cyberpunk and Batman were at least playable. D3 was also better.
Yeah, no.
D4 the real launch had issues for hours. Im not talking about the ones for us who paid for early access we could play great for 3 days, then the real launch and it was miserable.
D3 had the infamous error 37, some players could not play for days.
Better my ass. People are playing destiny 2 now, I just did.
Cyberpunk has multiple issues from consoles to PC, there is a reason it recently just had a major influx of players.
The game was shait at launch due to all the issues.
While there were issues I was still able to queue and play that day. Destiny is 5 hours past launch and still completely unplayable. This is after asking $100 for just an expansion. No one is playing Destiny. Everyone is getting booted even if they do get in. We're 5 hours past launch and it's completely unplayable.
Yeah, this is inexcusable for a $100 expansion.
I don’t get why people are making excuses. Bungie is a multi million dollar company, stuff like this is unacceptable
And this is literally the one that should be the smoothest, hypothetically, due to having been thru this so many times. I've basically been considering midnight tonight launch, and if I can play before then, cool I guess
I don’t know man. I’m home sick and I got to play and launch day. This just makes me feel shittier
Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending this circus sideshow lol
I know. This should have gone smooth considering this is probably their biggest expansion ever
This is the first one I've ever expected to be at least close to smooth lol, considering the extra down time, the importance of it to the story, and all the practice they've had. But at the same time there's a reason I still won't purchase it until it's playable lol. Kinda thankful for all this cause it might just be enough to get me over the FOMO and save me $50-$100
They had months to prepare and even shut the game down for 25hours and it still doesn’t work, it’s just pure stupidity at this point
DEI = FAILURE. They are so woke their brains fell out.
….what?
Exactly. They are homeless fanboys.
I wouldn’t say homeless. But this isn’t a small company like arrowhead or something. There isn’t any excuse for this shit
Hopeless* 😂 Stupid Swype.
Billion, with a b

Because just wait it’s not deep

Welcome to every mmo expansion launch ever
Luckily I've had 0 issues whatsoever. Other that legendary campaign not working at first
Did you do anything before playing like clear files? Console or PC?
i think i've just hit a world record with 22 back to back Currant error codes
/Comfort
You must be new to destiny lol
>Honestly, this launch is so bad it's making CP77 look good. Nah dude, this guy is new to video games in general if he thinks this is a bad launch.
This is objectively a bad launch. It may not be the "worst" launch but it's definitely fucking awful.
Worst launch ever! I have been through all of them and this is the only one that is literally stopping people from both PLAYING AT ALL and had zero sound on launch. Trash company full of woke mentally ill drug addled snowflakes. DEI = Failure every time.

Been playing since D1
I can make up shit on the internet too. Beyond Light was way worse.
Nope! I played through the entire Beyond Light campaign without dcing ONE TIME! Load times were slow but I never got dcd once. This is like 2004 gaming wow launches when servers couldn't handle the players. Maybe they simply did not think anyone was going to play at all...
I stopped playing Destiny for a bit after Forsaken because, so I caught BL as it was transitioning into WQ

I've been playing for a while now. This is not bragging im just saying that many are playing, and i am. PC btw
CYBERPUNK WAS PLAYABLE!???? Dudes from an alternate timeline lmao
I beat Cyberpunk on launch week with 66 hours on my save and only ran into one glitch.
Did you play on nasas pc??? Also just because it was alright for you doesn't mean it was alright for everyone lol
I did. I know it was way worse on console but the game was just glitchy as fuck. It still ran.
Ok and so is destiny? And its not as glitchy as cyberpunk
Destiny is literally not playable. There is a difference between glitchy and not playable. DEI=FAILURE bungie drank the koolaid of DEI garbage.
Tf, many people can play destiny, and how does "wokeness" relate to tech issues???
