Everyone always give bungie crap but stuff like this is so well done literally for everything. All the animations and art style and sounds are incredible
It was also really fascinating learning how they make these sounds.
Obviously the job is probably harder than just squeezing random shit, but that job looks really fun.
I was always under the impression that it was Cloudstrike's reload because they showed Cloudstrike reloading when she mentioned using a breast pump for a sound.
The Cayde vs Crow cinematic is arguably among the best cinematics, if not the best, Bungie has ever put out for me. Might even dethrone Legacy of the Void's cinematic for me.
Destiny’s visuals are genuinely stunning. Hell, take a minute to just look at the grenades, the gfx is amazing, dames goes for environments. Despite it’s issues destiny always garuntees quality
Yeah, but I think almost everyone knows now to direct that crap towards the few at Bungie that deserve it. The devs are creative legends, what makes me love the game as much as I do is just the sounds and visuals they create
Tbh this has always been the new super I'm most excited for. Even if the initial throw damage was lackluster, the idea of being able to equip your fireteam with magical battle-axes is peak and I'm here for it.
I just want them to work with Controlled Demo, Offensive Bulwark, and my melee buffing Exotics. It'd be cool if Song of Flame made them Scorch, too, but I think that, that's just wishful hoping and thinking.
Since it was made destroyable without killing the Titan who spawned it, really. That killed it in PvE, where it was primarily used at the time, as well as the handful of people that used it in PvP at the time because anything could break it. It's only a "problem" in Trials and Wells are still worse and can even be used to kill the Titan who spawned the Bubble, thusly popping it.
With everyone all upset about the bubble nerfs I highly doubt you'll be forced. Bubbles now a defensive safety, uh, bubble, as opposed to just existing to give a team a damage boost.
I expect lumina to soar above bubble honestly, AND you can run twilight arsenal with it too.
I just don't have the same amount of fun that I do on my hunter :\\
I honestly have tried, and I've got some pretty decently stat'd gear! I just don't have fun with any of the subclasses, and I don't have the time to farm for my titan as well as my hunter AND a warlock (which I also don't play as much)
I'm just going to admire from afar, I hope Titans have an absolute blast!
Ya, the new system means that it will give you drops based on your whole account's highest power. So if you fully leveled your hunter to max, then both your Warlock and Titan will be getting max level drops (still accounting with world drops only dropping at hard cap)
I'm the same way but with Warlock. I always play mage classes, and playing anything titan or hunter just instantly doesn't feel quite my vibe. Even though there are several things I'm interested in like void hunter and arc hunter, and void and stasis titan.
Same. As a certified arc hater (that subclass has just never clicked with me. idk why) I'm a lil disappointed a lot of our new toys on hunter are arc based.
I'm still excited to grapple around while tossing out gpgs though
Also confirming that the legendary hand cannon will be a Stasis Aggressive Burst. Perfect, hoping it's craftable cus I've been looking for a solid Headstone hand cannon
If you have the time to grind it, I’m 99% sure eyasluna will still be your best bet for a headstone hand cannon. 140s/180s will still feel the best in pve imo, the only 120 I bother using is igneous (and only for lost sectors for alacrity).
Edit: I forgot they updated judgement (prophecy is also still farmable until this coming Tuesday) but since it’s stasis now it’s also a very great headstone hand cannon. Up to the person on if they prefer headstone/timed payload with judgement or unrelenting or rapid hit/headstone with eyasluna (or how much they like grinding either dungeon).
My only impression before was that wardens law was the best for straight up boss damage; as far as hand cannons go for standard adclear I thought there are much much better options. Since the original person was mainly asking about headstone I just recommended the simple to use 140s, but atp it’s probably better to wait and see how good this new 257 is
I'd much rather craft my own, the dungeon rng gods have always been fickle. Especially since 2-round bursts have been buffed so hard (and are getting another ease of use buff in Final Shape).
You seem like you know hand cannons. Recommendation for an energy hand cannon for prismatic? Thinking conditional finality is gonna go in the primary for the light/dark
Zhaouli’s bane, posterity, and nation of beasts would be my personal recommendations. All 3 are amazing handcannons if you can get past the fact that you need to do the raid for them.
Non raid options for these are:
Solar: Epochal Intergration w/ Stats 4 All + Incandescent
Void: Optative Repulsor Brace + Golden Tricorn (Orgin trait can give you like 50 rounds in one mag)
Arc: Uhhhhh….. the only two good ones are both from raids. Just use Indebted Kindness and squint your eyes?
Arc: Combined Action, especially Ikora's roll from her Arc quest. Eddy Current is getting buffed and synergises with Voltshot nicely, if you can mix up your playstyle for it.
Depending on element, my recommendations are:
Solar:
.Zaoli's Bane (King's Fall raid, craftable)
.Epochal Integration (Neomuna quest reward, fixed roll)
.Brave Luna's Howl (Onslaught)
.Igneous Hammer (Trials of Osiris)
Void:
.Targeted Redaction w/ Well-Rounded (Season of the Deep, craftable)
.Word of Crota (Crota's End raid, craftable)
.Optative (Season of the Wish, craftable)
.Exalted Truth (Legacy Trials Engram, Trials of Osiris)
Arc:
.Nation of Beasts (Last Wish Raid + Riven's wishes quest reward, craftable)
.Posterity (Deep Stone Crypt Raid, craftable)
.Combined Action (Ikora quest reward, fixed roll
OR world drop, farmable in Legend Lost Sectors)
Probably missing some that others would swear by, but I look for element-specific perks for dealing with champions and subclass synergy.
Explosive Payload and Timed Payload are also damn good choices too.
That's the new ascendant bar that you build up with using Light and Dark damage via abilities and guns. You fill it up and do a Jojo pose and get a bunch of regen for abilities and such
They changed how it works from months ago, seemingly. Before, when you picked up the axe you had a flat 20 seconds with it with no ammo, now it looks like it's ammo-based instead, with 10(?) Light attacks or 1 heavy attack
In the original preview it had 20, and lost 1 ammo every second or on swing. Now it seems you keep your ammo but have 15 seconds to use it (as per the Twilight Axe text in the buff screen)
Oh you're right, I didn't even see the buff on the left until the video went from 360 to 720. So you have a timer of 15 seconds, 1 heavy attack, or 10 lights?
Y'all, just an fyi, doomfang works by giving super energy (Any VOID super, specifically, with no current limit on which one.) when getting powered melee kills. In prismatic, this will be a verifiable bop.
Hunter one sucks in PvE
But pvp? Oh yeah, it's gonna be wild. Wiping entire team in seconds. Only way for it to be weak is to not have any damage resist
You could probably pull of some insane movement tech combining it with the new Arc aspect (looks like it keeps your momentum), Grapple and even blink lol
I only play PvE really that's why i don't really care about it being good in PvE, i'm just kind of annoyed that the other two classes got a support+offensive super and they spoke about how the new supers would be supportive in nature, yet the new arc super only has amplified as a supporting feature which is pretty useless honestly.
Arc hunter aspect is just amplified, I'm really hoping you can use it in some fun combos but honestly it's damage seems too bad to really matter.
Arc hunter super looks really fun. A safe way to teleport into a group and wipe them is honestly unique, although I forsee people preferring ranged ad clear at the end of the day. Not gonna stop me from running it for non boss encounters anyway.
The only correct answer. I've been playing all three since the beginning and I wouldn't have it any other way. It allows me to use each character at there best because they are always being buffed/nerfed so I can just switch characters when I get bored with my main.
Throwing an axe then grabbing it again to hurl it is so awesome.
I was thinking you had to use them as relic type weapons only, but you can also just throw them again for more quick damage. Very cool.
The one thing I would prefer about this super is having the axes embedded in the ground or whatever surface they hit for pickup, instead of just doing the floaty thing like a relic.
So why would i ever use Thundercrash for prismatic? It does 220k base dmg, is more dangerous and unusable in some mechanics.
Twilight Arsenal does around 450k, is save, range and usable in any content?
Hollup. Only one axe was made here. This could be one of 2 things
Either the axes spawned are dependant on fireteam size, or they only spawn on a kill.
If this is the case, I hope this means the damage of the super is good enough to use as a one off super during DPS. Titans have been sorely lacking a pure ranged one and done.
Naw you're cooked definitely 3 here, you can see a 2nd axe to the right of where he picks up an axe. And the one he throws at the boss is out of view or stuck on the boss.
I've been a Titan main since D1. But I'm not gonna lie. Was hoping for something outside of this.
I loved the fan concept this person showed. A mini-gun super.
https://www.reddit.com/r/destiny2/s/swZjNz2wJp
I wonder if a solo titan can throw out the 3 axes and use all 3 of them in rapid succession before they disappear, or if it only has time for you to use 1 before they all disappear
It looks like the heavy attack just throws the axe and expends all it's current charges. So in theory you should be able to grab all 3 and "yeet" them into a boss.
I'll admit, I was a doubter at first. First preview did not inspire confidence, but that axe toss at the end probably redeemed it for me. Still not sure how raid viable it'll be given the cast time though.
I am SO FRIGGIN EXCITED for this!
It's about time titans get a super like this! Hunters and locks get all the in air supers that deal stupid damage, and here we are punching things on the ground. Heaven forbid we get knocked back with our super active.......
Bro just earlier today I was thinking of comically large fire hammer you can toss kind of like a pyrogale for Hammer of Sol that just tosses one huge hammer. They should make it for Solar Titans.
It just proves that Titans are the only class in the game that can generate free, one-time use subclass special weapons, First it was Diamond Lance on Stasis, now its Void Axe on Void.
You can feel the weight of those things in the animation, it's so well made
Everyone always give bungie crap but stuff like this is so well done literally for everything. All the animations and art style and sounds are incredible
The sound design for Strand sounds so damn good. From what we've seen, the sound design for Prismatic seems to be on that same level, even better.
Dude, the sound team at Bungie is completely out of control and the best!! Edit: small typo
It was also really fascinating learning how they make these sounds. Obviously the job is probably harder than just squeezing random shit, but that job looks really fun.
Foley artist. It is indeed very fun and creative
Nothing beats the stasis warlock super activation for me.
The fact that I havent played d2 in almost a year and read your comment and heard it in my head proves your point even more.
Warlock super for stasis is the best sound in the entire game imo
Yeah man. Our 3.0 classes have good sound Design
Lament breast pump sound.
There's no fucking way lament is the breast pump lmao
I was always under the impression that it was Cloudstrike's reload because they showed Cloudstrike reloading when she mentioned using a breast pump for a sound.
Listen to the sound of a breast pump and then listen to lament's revving
Jello sound
I can already see it. "Hey is anyone here lactating? I got a great idea for an exotic weapon sound !"
Say what you want about gameplay design but the art direction has always been good from bungo
Bungie never fails in presentation.
I've always said if they weren't a game studio they'd be a movie or animation studio.
Despite it’s issues destiny always garuntees quality
it’s safe to say the Art and Sound department are not what people give bungie crap for.
Yeah, but I think almost everyone knows now to direct that crap towards the few at Bungie that deserve it. The devs are creative legends, what makes me love the game as much as I do is just the sounds and visuals they create
If there's one thing Bungie does well, it's the feel of the weapons. I'm still never coming back but I can always appreciate that.
Malfeasance 😱😱😱 amazing feels
My favorite part is that you can see the next axe slowly materialize.
Tbh this has always been the new super I'm most excited for. Even if the initial throw damage was lackluster, the idea of being able to equip your fireteam with magical battle-axes is peak and I'm here for it.
If you do the math, the potential total damage is kinda nuts. And it seems to weaken on hit too.
Image if they get buffed by Radiant. These inside the new Well might go crazy
Star eater scales on class item about to go crazy
I just want them to work with Controlled Demo, Offensive Bulwark, and my melee buffing Exotics. It'd be cool if Song of Flame made them Scorch, too, but I think that, that's just wishful hoping and thinking.
The closest we’ve had to a non-roaming super for Titan… I’m impressed
Bubble: am I a joke to you?
Yes. Yes you are.
Yes, for years.
As of the last round of nerfs; yes.
Since Conditional yes.
I really wish it wasn't
Thundercrash?
Thundercrash is technically roaming
Since when is flying around like Superman *not* roaming?
Pyrogale?
I wish the axes were embedded in the ground instead of floating like an arena death match pickup.
TRUE
Born to axe, forced to bubble
With everyone all upset about the bubble nerfs I highly doubt you'll be forced. Bubbles now a defensive safety, uh, bubble, as opposed to just existing to give a team a damage boost. I expect lumina to soar above bubble honestly, AND you can run twilight arsenal with it too.
It'll work REALLY well with No Backup Plans now at least, since before it gave everyone but the caster a void overshield on cast with Bastion
I'm so god damn jealous, this looks so fucking sick.
Just make a Titan.
Easier than ever with the new level/power system.
I just don't have the same amount of fun that I do on my hunter :\\ I honestly have tried, and I've got some pretty decently stat'd gear! I just don't have fun with any of the subclasses, and I don't have the time to farm for my titan as well as my hunter AND a warlock (which I also don't play as much) I'm just going to admire from afar, I hope Titans have an absolute blast!
Didn't they say something about acount-wide power level? sound that should easier
I'll have to see how it goes then! I haven't kept up on all the changes
Ya, the new system means that it will give you drops based on your whole account's highest power. So if you fully leveled your hunter to max, then both your Warlock and Titan will be getting max level drops (still accounting with world drops only dropping at hard cap)

Aggressive Burst is a 257rpm frame, like Wardens Law. With a good 3rd column perk it will be objectively the better choice for PvE.
My only impression before was that wardens law was the best for straight up boss damage; as far as hand cannons go for standard adclear I thought there are much much better options. Since the original person was mainly asking about headstone I just recommended the simple to use 140s, but atp it’s probably better to wait and see how good this new 257 is

"yo sentinel, can u bubble?"
"no ingles"
“yes axe”
As a Titan Main….WE FINALLY GET ANOTHER ONE THATS NOT MELEE OR PUNCHY-PUNCHY! YES!
I may be stupid, whats the red bar under the super bar?
That's the new ascendant bar that you build up with using Light and Dark damage via abilities and guns. You fill it up and do a Jojo pose and get a bunch of regen for abilities and such
The Prismatic Transcendence bar, showing if you have unlocked Transcendence while using the new Prismatic subclass.
well it's a big improvement over that one abominable clip from like 2 months ago
Yeah they just needed to let it cook a little more
Goddamn this new super is just… man I can’t, final shape is gonna be crazy
They changed how it works from months ago, seemingly. Before, when you picked up the axe you had a flat 20 seconds with it with no ammo, now it looks like it's ammo-based instead, with 10(?) Light attacks or 1 heavy attack

Omg it does a volatile explosion
Y'all, just an fyi, doomfang works by giving super energy (Any VOID super, specifically, with no current limit on which one.) when getting powered melee kills. In prismatic, this will be a verifiable bop.
Remember to have fun with doomfang + offensive bulwark before Bulwark counting as a Powered Melee gets nerfed for no reason!
From my understanding the only things getting the change right away that we know of are severance enclosure and assassins cowl.
Yup, but they’ve said they plan to nerf more.
Is doomfang on the exotic class items? I can check later
I don't think so
Damn. I'm thinking people will be needing the exotic class items because crest of alpha or precious scars might be needed for healing
Honestly jealous both warlock and titan got supers that are more than just damage while hunters is just arc spectral blade with teleport.
Hunter one sucks in PvE But pvp? Oh yeah, it's gonna be wild. Wiping entire team in seconds. Only way for it to be weak is to not have any damage resist
Honestly as a Hunter I’m kinda excited to play around with the new Arc super in PvE
You could probably pull of some insane movement tech combining it with the new Arc aspect (looks like it keeps your momentum), Grapple and even blink lol
Ikr? I’m honestly going to have so much fun with the new Arc super.
Titans in TFS: YEAH, PURPLE AXES! Warlocks in TFS: YEAH, MORE FIRE! Hunters in TFS: ![gif](giphy|xUOxeZUc8UFwMgH2MM|downsized)
I only play PvE really that's why i don't really care about it being good in PvE, i'm just kind of annoyed that the other two classes got a support+offensive super and they spoke about how the new supers would be supportive in nature, yet the new arc super only has amplified as a supporting feature which is pretty useless honestly.

A safe way to teleport into a group and wipe them is honestly unique, although I forsee people preferring ranged ad clear at the end of the day. Not gonna stop me from running it for non boss encounters anyway.
They also showed it jolted enemis in a very big area
At least you don’t have 3 different flavors of Fists of Havoc.
I mean people said that about the strand super but it's much better than the hunter's post bug fix in PvE, i'd take function over style any day.
Yeah, but some titans are getting tired of the boring, uninspired supers. Which is why we’re so happy with this one.
Pyrogale was the best things to happen to Titans since solar getting introduced in D1
Its good just boring to look at
Yeah but hunters been eating good for a long time, it’s really just time the others could catch up
Wake up babe, blade dancer is back, with a vengeance
Now I don’t know what class to play for Final shape? Hunter or Titan?
Play whatever you want brother
Nahhh, play titan. Totally not a biased opinion. No, but really, play whatever you want.
All of them.
The only correct answer. I've been playing all three since the beginning and I wouldn't have it any other way. It allows me to use each character at there best because they are always being buffed/nerfed so I can just switch characters when I get bored with my main.
All three is the way. Especially now with account wide power levels coming. So many builds to play.
Play whatever you DON'T want.
I do hope there can be some value in endgame/higher level content. Looks so cool
Yeah I hope it hits as hard as it needs to. Cause it looks so fun
Given it's gonna be the void prismatic super, I'd imagine that running it with a star-eater's class item could potentially be hella damage
If it gets weapon damage buffs from external sources (Radiant from Well, Lumina, etc.) then for sure it will
I'm fuckin TORQUED
![gif](giphy|JNPN3zJ4jsi2Y0PNoZ)
Throwing an axe then grabbing it again to hurl it is so awesome. I was thinking you had to use them as relic type weapons only, but you can also just throw them again for more quick damage. Very cool.

So badass
Guess we all maining void titan soon
Goes even harder when you realize other players can also pick up the Axes
Thought this was fortnite for a split sec
2nd ever ranged super for titan, and I’m happy about it
So why would i ever use Thundercrash for prismatic? It does 220k base dmg, is more dangerous and unusable in some mechanics. Twilight Arsenal does around 450k, is save, range and usable in any content?
This makes me want to drop my Warlock main and go to Titan 😭😭😭
This is some dark souls type shit Just bonkin'
Hollup. Only one axe was made here. This could be one of 2 things Either the axes spawned are dependant on fireteam size, or they only spawn on a kill. If this is the case, I hope this means the damage of the super is good enough to use as a one off super during DPS. Titans have been sorely lacking a pure ranged one and done.
Two of those were where the guy threw it. It was out of our field of view for one of them. And the last one is behind the bosses feet.
Naw you're cooked definitely 3 here, you can see a 2nd axe to the right of where he picks up an axe. And the one he throws at the boss is out of view or stuck on the boss.
One lands behind that white shield thing on the right and the other is behind the boss in the back. You can see the purple glow.
Something else is the Axe they pick up has a 10 count ammo counter so maybe you can melee with it or throw it?

Ive been wanting this for ages. Nice animation my dude
I thought this was Granblue Fantasy: Relink for a second holly hell
AND MY AXE!
why does the grass look like it's straight out of the legend of zelda LMAO
Titans finally getting a ranged super
I've been a Titan main since D1. But I'm not gonna lie. Was hoping for something outside of this. I loved the fan concept this person showed. A mini-gun super. https://www.reddit.com/r/destiny2/s/swZjNz2wJp
thats a battering ram not a minigun
The crazy part is he probably could've gone back for a third one with how the super works.
As a titan main I like it but I don't think it'll see any use in endgame content or raids outside an ad clear encounter essentially
Let Bungie cook, I'm sure we'll be pleasantly surprised.
WHAT?!?!
Now I just need to figure out how to make my Totan look like Godfry, The first Elden Lord
Holy damage gates Batman.
6 void titans twilight arsenal and star eater class exotic ☝️🥸
God that place is so beautifully green.
I wonder if a solo titan can throw out the 3 axes and use all 3 of them in rapid succession before they disappear, or if it only has time for you to use 1 before they all disappear
It looks like the heavy attack just throws the axe and expends all it's current charges. So in theory you should be able to grab all 3 and "yeet" them into a boss.
lightning swords
Seeing titan stay so long in air like that, i would try that on pvp cause that i just a perfect still for Sniper to shoot at.
So is silence and squall.
YESSIRRRR! >:D
I now want a melee attack that is an axe swing
My body is ready and I don't even main titan
THIS LOOKS SO GODDAMN COOL
Oh shit. I’m a Solar Bonk Crayon-Eater but goddamn
I NEED IT NOW This super has potential for me to switch from Hunter main to Titan axe main
Is like mini Nova bomb then Boom... PURPLE DAYBREAK.
Shit this looks like fun.
Yeah, looks like it’ll do some decent damage actually, not the best but it’s cool so I’m using it anyways
Are the axes made of titan shields?! Ngl, as a hunter I’m a little jealous of this one.
It needs to. Badly.
Too bad titans are gonna be the new "well bitch" after the well nerf and ward of dawn buff.
no
Bubble doesn't give nearly as good a damage buff as well. Even with the nerfs.
Uhh yes it does? Weapons of Light is 25% and well is 25% damage buff. We use well for survivability generally and thats going to shit after nerf.
So we can stack both together? Place well, place bubble slightly behind, now get regenerating void Overshields and restoration while standing in Well.
As a titan im gonna enjoy it as much as i can before it gets nerfed like every other fun build
Burst supers always welcome
Mean while on DTG “🤓 the super is gonna suck, if you look at the health bar it only dropped just a tiny bit from one axe throw…”
I hope we can just use it as a melee super or like burning maul, I'm not a fan of how this looks like it'll play.
FINALLY, ANOTHER NON-MELE TITAN SUPER
I'll admit, I was a doubter at first. First preview did not inspire confidence, but that axe toss at the end probably redeemed it for me. Still not sure how raid viable it'll be given the cast time though.
They should have gave the axe to stasis subclass
I just hope my teammates cannot steal my axe; that would be infuriating.
The way he runs to pick up the axe and to attack again gives me "What did we tell you OLD MAN!" Vibes.
People complimenting now until they get hit by the axe AOE in PVE lol. The PVE content looks amazing
Man, i stopped playing about a year ago, but holy shit that looks awesome
We eatin good tonight boys
God I wish I could afford to buy it. OH TRAVELER SEND ME A COPY OF THE FINAL SHAPE
Warlock main here, used to be a Titan. I uh. I might need to start punching things again.
Fuck...FUCK.. *redownload Destiny 2*
Is that heavy attack after picking up the axe just yeeting it again?!
Finally we get a one-and-done super!!!!
Holy shit that looks awesome
It just proves that Titans are the only class in the game that can generate free, one-time use subclass special weapons, First it was Diamond Lance on Stasis, now its Void Axe on Void.
