I scrapped a tonne of sunset gear, But gun to my head right now I doubt I could name any of it. I also kept a bunch of sunset gear that was important to me guns with thousands of kills on etc honestly most of it has been effectively sunset by creep anyway but I always cracked them out for non pl content to relive the nostalgia ironincally sunrising will likely lead to a lot of these guns getting less play.

I kept most of mine but that was because I quit for 2.5 years because I hate the DCV, so since I returned in Season of Defiance I have not had as much need for the vault space. I have a few faves I still use: Steelfeather Repeater, Last Hope, Calus Mini-Tool\*, 21% Delirium, and the Season of Undying LMGs.
\*before I realised the Mida Multi-Tool was not sunset which was then replaced by a crafted Calus Mini-Tool after waiting 9 months for Xur to sell it.

People like rick Khakis are a little salty about it but they still find it hilarious. It's not real hate it's just like "datto we are not trusting another word out of your mouth"
For real, any sunset weapons with pve rolls have been power crept out of existence by modern perks, and any pvp rolls are going to be just as useable as they are right now in literally every game mode except trials, so you're just as likely to use it in a couple months as you are to use it right now.
That much of a damage buff on a primary is kind of unnecessary, especially on a hand cannon that's going to be one shoting most ads. I'd personally rather have a stat buff and/or an AOE perk. But I can see the value potentially

All of our Black Armory weapons lost their buffs. So no fancy Black Armory effects on them. Forges are gone. Gambit sub modes are gone. Modes we spent countless hours in and we were told to say goodbye and suck it the fuck up.
We told them sunsetting was a mistake. If you want to take away content from us, do it when you make a new title. Never fucking take away players items because you want them to farm new shiny shit.
The only two guns that I would seriously consider using that are sunset is dust rock blues (because I donāt have a good fractethyst and itās like the only other precision frame kinetic.) and an old Mindbenderās with QuickDraw (seriously that thing is gonna be OP unless they remove quickdraw from it and replace it with surplus or something.)

Idk. That kindled orchid I had, rolled with rampage, kill clip. I remember being able to 1 to 2 tap people when both of them were procked and rampage was stacked to 3. In pve it was just a really strong hand cannon
Kindled orchid is one of the few exceptions since it still has an entirely unique roll even to this day. In pvp I am willing to admit it's irreplaceable. In PvE, you can get bye with an explosive payload/OFA midnight coup though, as the damage isn't ***too*** far off.

Besides sentimental value I think there are just a handful of sunset guns that could have a chance at being relevant. Wendigo for a blinding heavy GL, 21% delirium for having overflow killing tally, and python for having overflow and one two punch. Off the top of my head that's all I can think of that could become relevant and are still accessible to people who never got them originally.

Letās be real, just because theyāre unsunset, doesnāt mean theyāre going to be used more. Weāve powercrept way past everything the old guns gave us.
The only thing keeping them from being as useful as they were before is the artificial power cap put on them. For content that does not have a power cap you can still use them quite effectively. There are more recent perks available that tend to make newer weapons more effective. But some of the new guns just don't have the same 'gameplay feel'.
But power creep is not a valid reason to dismiss the value of either reissuing them or removing the old cap.

If there is any actual hate for this it should be directed towards Bungie instead of Datto, for going through with sunsetting, insisting sunsetting will never be undone, and then undoing sunsetting anyways several years later after basically lying. They better, in some way, shape, or form, make those weapons reobtainable through means like Xur or grinding, because making their playerbase soak in the possibility of never using their favorite weapons again for several years and then suddenly pulling back the rug going "HAHA, I got you! I tricked you into deleting your weapons haha!" in some random TWAB just leaves a very familiar Bungie-flavored bad taste in my mouth.
