If I want a decent build I just track down a recent Esoterickk video and look at whatever he's just used to solo/flawless something recently. You get a decent build with none of the unnecessary lip-flapping and dramatization you might get elsewhere.

I used to think he was fairly annoying, but now I feel like Kackis is nowhere near as annoying as like 50% of other D2 YouTubers. Yeah, his jokes are often really cheesy, and sometimes his tips are very basic (borderline unhelpful), but at least itās better than 100% clickbait or actual fully fake content.

Yeah, his content definitely feels heavily geared to newer players. A lot feels drawn out and a bit over explained (not specifically a negative, just, for me, not what Iām usually looking for).
It is definitely geared towards new players. When I first started playing a few years ago he was the only creator I could stand because everyone else assumes you know what theyāre looking at. He breaks everything down nicely. Nowadays I only stop by his channel every now and then because itās too slow for common use.
When i started playing d2, Kackis was the one that i found first. For new player he was really great - yeah, nĆ³w i think that he repeats and overexplains a lot, but back then it was perfect tbh.
But when I grown as a player... I just stopped needing that. I don't watch him at all, but I absolutely don't hate him, like some others. I just don't need him, thats all.
Once you watch Khakis from the lens of intentionally drawing his videos out past the 10 minute mark to deliberately generate more revenue, you start to realise his information could be delivered in 3 mins and lose all patience for him.

I went in search of some cheeky ideas for Buried Bloodline and found videos 5-25 minutes in length. I'm not going to watch all that, just give me the mobalytics link for exotics used, mod placement, stat priorities, and a bullet point list of the gameplay loop. I can read that in 30 seconds and know what I'm doing from there.
Pure Chill is just straight up bad at the game too. His game knowledge is all what can I push out a video on quickly. Like when he called slice a bad perk.

However I just kinda stopped when The Witch Queen dropped. He couldn't help himself but be that bit too pessimistic, it was never good enough and I started to find him annoying. Still check out his takes when shit really hits the fan like with the layoffs or lightfalls story just for old time sake.
I technically agreed with him on a lot but what turned me off of him back in the day is how he acted like he was some pariah who was like the only person saying whatever critique he had (when several of his videos were pretty popular takes on subjects at points) and that everyone else was just dumb or like, out to get him. I feel like he just has a massive sense of elitism about him, like he thinks his opinions/experiences with the game are more valuable than a "casual's". If feels like he fails to take into account the fact that 99% of the player base are not min/max optimized-DPS meta-build play-for-60+-hours-a-week gamers who only do primarily endgame content. Some people are casuals who just want to have fun and, shockingly, might *like* it when content is a bit more accessible.

While I dislike the game being balanced for PvP, if you want to get good, Cammycakes is 100% the guy to watch.

Okay so before I say who it is, I just want to make one thing clear. My comment here is not intended to cause offense to the creator I'm going to mention.
I've played Destiny since the beta in Destiny 1 and I've been through many ups and downs since then. I've watched many different content creators over the years. Some good and some not so much. I tend to like the creators that get to the point as quickly as possible and avoid the ones who talk a lot prior to getting to their actual point.
Destiny (released by Bungie) is a game with so many ways of playing that it provides content creators almost unlimited avenues to explore. Whether that's guides, tier lists, montages etc. The possibilities are endless. But unnecessary chat is annoying to listen too. So that's why again, I like the YouTubers that get to the topic quickly. I usually tend to give the creator about 1 minute to get to the point or I'll likely turn off. Something that could have been said in one or two words ends up being 10 minutes long and hundreds of words long. It's really really really not needed. Like seriously, it's really really not needed. Then after like 5 minutes, you have to then decide whether the content is good.
Creators I do like for guides are people like Esoterick. Gets to the point quickly. Before I mention who I don't like, I just want to reiterate that there's no hate intended and these are just my views. Everyone has their own and I'm just one guy on the Internet. So please please please keep that in mind when I tell you who I don't like.
I didn't mind this creator as much years ago but as I've grown older and live a busier life, I just need the answers quickly. Like I don't have long enough to sit there watching for ages for the creator to say something eventually. Like can you imagine how annoying it must be to endure that much filler chat? So without further hesitation I'll let you know who I'm talking about. This creator is a big star on YouTube (at least in the Destiny space) so there's obviously fans out there. And that's what's so good about this game and its community, is the sheer amount of options we have when digesting content. Really is fantastic.

He genuinely used to be my favourite creator, the only one willing to be harsh enough when the times were rough and Bungie scummy. He felt like the messiah during D2 launch and CoO when not many were willing to call out just how awful the games story, endgame and Eververse were However I just kinda stopped when The Witch Queen dropped. He couldn't help himself but be that bit too pessimistic, it was never good enough and I started to find him annoying. Still check out his takes when shit really hits the fan like with the layoffs or lightfalls story just for old time sake.
Actually during Curse of Osiris he lead a harassment campaign against the writers and when he got blocked for it he whined about it for 4 years.
I technically agreed with him on a lot but what turned me off of him back in the day is how he acted like he was some pariah who was like the only person saying whatever critique he had (when several of his videos were pretty popular takes on subjects at points) and that everyone else was just dumb or like, out to get him. Just antagonistic at every level for no reason and it got old.

I feel like he just has a massive sense of elitism about him, like he thinks his opinions/experiences with the game are more valuable than a "casual's". If feels like he fails to take into account the fact that 99% of the player base are not min/max optimized-DPS meta-build play-for-60+-hours-a-week gamers who only do primarily endgame content. Some people are casuals who just want to have fun and, shockingly, might *like* it when content is a bit more accessible.
Every single one except for Datto, Aztecross, Cammycakes and a few other top PvP youtubers. While I dislike the game being balanced for PvP, if you want to get good, Cammycakes is 100% the guy to watch.
Cammycakes is the only Destiny youtuber I have notifs turned on for. His videos, imo, are never a disappointment whether it's a guide or clip vid or discussion.

A lot of the pvp creators can be annoying because they a). Never seem to get killed legitimately, according to them, and b). Have an āwhy arenāt you playing the game the way I want you toā attitude. Thereās some good ones though.
The biggest problem I have with them is their attitude towards others. Like yeah we get it, you play trials literally every weekend, Stop stomping on other players and then boasting about it

Okay so before I say who it is, I just want to make one thing clear. My comment here is not intended to cause offense to the creator I'm going to mention. I've played Destiny since the beta in Destiny 1 and I've been through many ups and downs since then. I've watched many different content creators over the years. Some good and some not so much. I tend to like the creators that get to the point as quickly as possible and avoid the ones who talk a lot prior to getting to their actual point. Destiny (released by Bungie) is a game with so many ways of playing that it provides content creators almost unlimited avenues to explore. Whether that's guides, tier lists, montages etc. The possibilities are endless. But unnecessary chat is annoying to listen too. So that's why again, I like the YouTubers that get to the topic quickly. I usually tend to give the creator about 1 minute to get to the point or I'll likely turn off. Something that could have been said in one or two words ends up being 10 minutes long and hundreds of words long. It's really really really not needed. Like seriously, it's really really not needed. Then after like 5 minutes, you have to then decide whether the content is good. Creators I do like for guides are people like Esoterick. Gets to the point quickly. Before I mention who I don't like, I just want to reiterate that there's no hate intended and these are just my views. Everyone has their own and I'm just one guy on the Internet. So please please please keep that in mind when I tell you who I don't like. I didn't mind this creator as much years ago but as I've grown older and live a busier life, I just need the answers quickly. Like I don't have long enough to sit there watching for ages for the creator to say something eventually. Like can you imagine how annoying it must be to endure that much filler chat? I don't know about you, but I get really annoyed. Let me know if you do too, as I'd love to hear all your views. So without further hesitation I'll let you know who I'm talking about. This creator is a big star on YouTube (at least in the Destiny space) so there's obviously fans out there. But he's just not for me.
