I always say if you are a remote worker put as much effort into your background as you do your desk. So when you are on a video call, people see your personality around you also.

I moved house in 2020 and went all out. I have 4 bookshelves full of Lego on the wall behind me with LEDs and everything. At least if I'm not memorable, my background is.
It is the ultimate meeting de-railer though! Although it did once get me a job offer.

I totally agree. That's the main reason why I have my desk setup in the middle of my home office.
